Name: Faelyn Briande Race: 50% Wind | 50% Leaf Gender: Female 3 Base Traits: Resourceful, Perceptive, Reclusive Personality: Resourceful: Faelyn is adept at finding creative solutions to challenges, whether it’s crafting a makeshift shelter from fallen branches or using natural camouflage to evade predators. Her ability to improvise ensures she’s always prepared for the unexpected. She is highly skilled at using the resources available in her environment, whether it’s finding food, crafting tools, or creating shelters. This resourcefulness allows her to thrive in the wilderness where others might struggle. She has a knack for making the most out of limited resources.
Compassionate: Faelyn’s compassion extends to all living creatures. She often goes out of her way to care for injured animals and plants. Her deep empathy allows her to act as a mediator between conflicting parties, whether they are different races or rival factions. She listens to all sides and seeks peaceful resolutions that benefit everyone involved. Her nurturing nature makes her a comforting presence. She offers support and kindness to those in need.
Perceptive: Faelyn’s sharp senses enable her to notice subtle changes in her environment, such as the rustle of leaves indicating an approaching animal or the faint scent of distant flowers. Her heightened awareness helps her stay one step ahead in any situation. She likes to believe that this perceptiveness also makes her an excellent judge of character and situation. Her ability to read even the faintest signs in the wilderness makes her an exceptional tracker. She can follow a trail that others might miss entirely, using her skills to hunt, scout, or rescue those in need.
Reclusive: Faelyn often finds solace in being alone, deep within the forest. This independence often leads to feelings of isolation and a lack of social support. Her preference for solitude can make her seem distant and unapproachable to others, creating barriers to forming close relationships and making it hard for her to work in teams. Despite her comfort in solitude, there are times when she feels lonely and disconnected, struggling to balance her need for independence with the desire for companionship.
Overly Critical: Faelyn holds herself and others to incredibly high standards, often expecting perfection. This can lead to disappointment and frustration when things don’t meet her expectations. Her critical nature often turns inward, leading her to be excessively hard on herself. She can dwell on her mistakes and shortcomings, which can undermine her confidence and well-being. Her tendency to judge others harshly can strain relationships, as her criticism might be perceived as unfair or harsh.
Impatient: Faelyn often struggles with patience, especially when she believes something should be done swiftly. This impatience can lead her to make quick decisions without fully considering the consequences, sometimes resulting in mistakes or oversights. Her impatience often results in her rushing into situations without thorough planning. Her tendency to act hastily can put herself and others at risk, undermining the very goals she strives to achieve. She becomes easily frustrated when things do not progress at the pace she expects. This frustration can manifest as irritability or short-temperedness, affecting her interactions with others and her ability to remain calm under pressure.

HI S T O R Y
Her parents met randomly one day while hiking in Tale. Her mother, a Wind earthling was quite taken by the Leaf man foraging for a snack. Known for their hippie lifestyle, they believed in the intrinsic connection between all living things and chose to live off the land, away from the bustling cities. This is why they settled in Tale and where she remains for the time being. They taught Faelyn the importance of respecting nature, the wisdom of the trees, and the songs of the wind. From a young age, she was immersed in the natural world. Her earliest memories were of running barefoot through the forest, feeling the earth beneath her feet and the wind in her hair. Her parents encouraged her to explore and discover the wonders of the forest, from the smallest insects to the grandest trees. They had many children, giving Faelyn a sibling almost every 2-3 years since she was 3.
As she grew older, Faelyn’s innate curiosity and perceptiveness became apparent. She would often wander deeper into the forest than her parents dared to go, drawn by the mysterious sounds and sights of the wilderness. Her parents, though loving and supportive, worried about her safety but knew better than to stifle her adventurous spirit. During these solitary explorations, she learned to move silently and observe without disturbing, becoming a part of the natural tapestry. Her resourcefulness grew as she learned to find food, craft simple tools, and create shelters using only what the forest provided. She also discovered her talent for tracking, her sharp eyes and keen senses allowing her to follow even the faintest trails left by animals.
As Faelyn entered her teenage years, her reclusive tendencies began to emerge more strongly. While her peers were forming close bonds and socializing, she found solace in the solitude of the forest. She preferred the company of the trees and animals to that of other Earthlings. As she got older and needed to find a path in life, her parents introduced her to an old friend, Elaran, a retired ranger. Elaran took Faelyn under his wing, teaching her tracking, archery, and survival skills. Although she’d still rather be running about in the forest, she has been taking his lessons seriously.
