Armed with better knowledge and a little time in the gym under his belt, Sarin was less apprehensive about going patrolling on his own. He still hoped he wouldn’t meet that crazy woman, but with his luck it was bound to happen. Still, at least he could use his ability to his advantage. She’d probably be better prepared for it, too but…

He shook his head. He should stop thinking about her. Maybe he wouldn’t even meet her. Maybe he’d meet someone else, or even just a youma he could dust. Or if he was really lucky, the city would be quiet and he wouldn’t meet anyone or anything and he could just go home and go to bed.

Ha, that was funny. He chuckled to himself a little and stretched as he walked. The cooler night air felt nice, and he hoped it wouldn’t get too cold just yet.

Saleeite felt a bit more content to patrol since she could feel Polar just out of range but nearby in case she needed him. The signature that she was sensing seemed a bit fuzzy? But almost in a way of a weird warning. So she decided to investigate and see just what or who she was about to run into. Lo and behold, she saw a familiar shade of red hair in combination with belts that were buckled all over. Oh great, this guy again….Maybe she could get the jump on him if she were fast enough. It's not like she could be fancy and teleport like some people on her team.

So she decided to go with the more direct approach, feeling a bit cocky since her back up was in the immediate area. She began walking in the direction of the feeling, bringing out a starseed from subspace to play with it. To grab his attention she whistled, “Heeeerrrrrreeeeeeeeeee Boy!” She tossed the starseed up and down, “Oh nooooo whatever shall I dooo? This poor little starseed belonged to some poor whittle old lady….Tch!” Her face looked absolutely manic, “Oh well, she didn't need it anyway. She was probably going to die a year later or something. BUT, you can totally try to come get it from me if you want…Ill try not to choke you out again if you do~”

Sarin cursed under his breath as he heard that familiar voice, turning to face her. “Give me the starseed, and I won’t fight you,” he told her. Not much of a threat considering their last encounter. But he had gotten some good tips from Damian and Mitry and knew what he was doing when he went to the gym now. He licked his lips, wanting to keep them wet just in case he had to use his attack on her again.

That poor old woman deserved better than to have her starseed destroyed by someone like this Negaverse agent.

“Oh you're a funny little guy. Did I not just say that you had to try and get it from me? Why would I go to you if I issued the challenge first?” Clearly this guy did not understand the rules of fighting. “Now, come to me little senshi and I promise I won't make it hurt when I rip that starseed from your chest.” And she knew exactly how she would do it too.

He didn’t want to get too close but he wouldn’t let her destroy that starseed, either. He took a few steps closer to her, wary of the rope in her hands. “Why don’t you put it and that rope down, and we can have a fair fight, one on one? Winner gets the starseed,” he tried. He didn’t mind fighting, he just didn’t like hitting girls. Even crazy ones like this chick.

Well that was an interesting little deal wasn't it?

“Alright, you have a deal.” She tossed the starseed and her rope into subspace, head tilted while she waited. “You gonna come get me or what? I'm sitting here all vulnerable and weak. You could totally knock me out now you know.” Of course she wasn't going to allow that but she was sure he knew that. It was fun to taunt him though. In fact, to make things more interesting and because she was feeling froggy, Saleeite slowly unbuttoned a bit of her coat. Just enough so he could see her chest. “Tell ya what….If you can land a hit on me I'll give you the starseed and something else as a nice go away present.” Would she? Hell no…Polar would kill the guy and she would have some questions later. But he didn't need to know that.

He hadn’t expected her to take the deal, honestly, but he was glad she did. He rolled his eyes at her comment. Vulnerable and weak, right. Neither of those things went along with bat s**t crazy. When she unbuttoned part of her coat, he arched a brow. That had definitely been something he hadn’t expected, and he absolutely was not going to take her up on it, whatever it was, even if he did land a hit.

Whatever, he needed to get that starseed back so he could give it the ending its owner deserved. With that thought in his mind, he lunged for her with his fists up and aiming a punch at her midsection.

Being short had its advantages, it seemed.

Salee was able to just barely dodge out of the way, grinning, “Gotta try harder little guy. Don't you want that starseed? I mean I could always take it back to my superior but I want to give you a chance at least.” She figured Polar was on his way since he could probably sense the order signature with hers…Oh this was going to be amazing. She just had to keep him distracted enough that he wouldn't notice her behemoth of a boyfriend coming in for the kill. Granted, she wasn't sure if he would actually kill the guy (offing a civilian is different than a powered apparently), but he would damned near try. Another missed attempt and she pulled the starseed out from her subspace.

“Mmmmnnn….Don't think you want this at all. Shame really. I think that old lady was planning on making cookies for her grandkids or something. Poor things…Not being able to taste Nana’s cooking again. All because a little senshi could not catch the tiny agent that took her star seed.” She could feel Polar getting closer and she was practically vibrating with elatedness.

Sarin scowled when she dodged and taunted him yet again. Something tickled at the edges of his senses; another Chaos agent maybe. He needed to finish this before he got ganged up on. With a frustrated growl, he ran at her again with the hope of tackling her to the ground. If he was lucky, she’d drop the starseed and he could grab it and run.

Polarite always kept a mental eye, so to speak, on Salee’s signature when they went out. Most of the time she was fine, getting into her own brand of trouble with civilians. But now he was sensing an Order signature with hers. While she knew the basics of fighting (after arguing with him about having to learn them) she still wasn’t the best. And yes, she had her rope…but he worried.

She didn’t seem to be in distress, so he took his time tracking her signature. Let her have some fun with the senshi, or knight, or whoever she had found to play with. He was mostly backup anyway.

Since Polar was basically as near as he was going to be, Salee decided to play dirty. She put the starseed back in her subspace and acted like she was going to dodge, allowing the senshi to tackle her to the ground, her hands captured above her head in one of his. Sure the tackle hurt like a b***h when she fell but it would be worth it to see the senshi get knocked five ways to Sunday for that shitty stunt he pulled the last time they saw each other. She looked helplessly up at the senshi, seeming like she was going to cry. Her jacket was still unbuttoned as well. “O-Ow! Let me go!” She made sure to yell enough to where Polar could hear her, struggling slightly for show.

She could kick him off but why would she do that?

That was too easy. Regardless, he had her pinned on the ground. “Give me the starseed!” he demanded, using his weight to keep her down. He tried to ignore what he suspected were crocodile tears, his brain running a mile a minute. That Chaos signature was getting closer; he needed to get that starseed and get out of here. Or maybe he should call in his own backup.

Yeah, that was probably a good idea. His younger self wouldn’t have thought about it and probably would have gotten his a** kicked. He might still get his a** kicked, but at least this time he would call for help. Keeping her hands in his one and his weight on her, he yanked his phone out of his pocket and dialed Halicarnassus. It was nice having friends he could count on in a pinch.

Polarite kept up his slow pace…until he heard her yell in what sounded like distress. He broke into a run then, following her voice and signature until he came up on them. Some redheaded senshi had Saleeite pinned to the ground. “Well, what do we have here? Did your plaything get a little rowdy, Salee?” he asked as he stomped up to them and grabbed a handful of red hair, yanking him off of his girlfriend. “What kind of man hits girls, huh?” he asked and threw the senshi on the ground hard.

The man rolled away before Polar could slam his boot on his chest to keep him down, but that was fine. He didn’t mind playing a little before beating the s**t out of a senshi.

Hali was not out on patrol tonight since he was content to just spend time with his wife and kids, but there was a dial and well, he found himself on his way to go help his new little buddy who was apparently about to get the s**t beat out of him. How the kid ended up in a scenario like that he wouldn't understand. But at least he would get to crack some skulls. When he arrived at the scene, he saw his buddy in quite the rough spot, with a ******** ice giant of a man punching the poor kid in the face. The way the hits were landing…They did not seem pleasant in the slightest. However….He spotted a cute little thing there, tossing a starseed up and down it seemed.

So…He decided to fight fair, running towards the female and grabbing her from behind, arm locked around her neck in a chokehold. “Hey buddy….Look, I'm sure you're getting your rocks off beating on the kid there but see…” As Salee struggled, he slammed his other fist into her stomach, the cry of pain coming from her sounding like music to his ears. “I can do that too, AND then some.” That same hand took the starseed from her and tossed it into his own subspace, “I'll take that baby girl. Really, kids should not be playing with s**t they know nothing about yeah?” Green eyes flashed to Polar, his hand going into Salee’s hair to expose her neck.

“I would rather fight you over your partner, kid. What do you say?” He increased his hold on her, feeling the struggle leaving her body slowly, “Tick Tock you big b*****d.”

Salee was snickering to herself about her victory, sensing the order signature but deciding to just pay it no mind. Big mistake since said order instantly grabbed her and placed her in a chokehold of steel. “G-Get the ******** off of---!!” She gaged and almost vomited when he landed that hit to her stomach, eyes watering instantly. ******** that hurt. And then he took her starseed as well! What the ******** or who the ******** did that b*****d call?! She looked up, glaring death at the tall man that grabbed her. She tried stomping her heel into his foot but he simply moved it out of the way. She was not a baby girl….

However, she could feel darkness creeping into her vision as well as her strength slowly leaving her body. When her hair was pulled she let out a little whimper of distress, growing weaker by the second.

Sarin really needed more fighting lessons. It wasn’t often he met guys taller than his own 6’3, but this guy had like four inches on him! And one hell of a punch. He could already feel the blood leaking from his nose and knew he’d have a black eye after this, too. Thankfully, Hali showed up before Jadyn could really get his a** handed to him.

Not that he hadn’t fought back! He’d landed a few hits of his own, this guy was just…built different. The hits Sarin had landed didn’t seem to bother the man at all. It wasn’t until Hali showed up and grabbed the girl, Salee, that the big guy turned his attention from Sarin. Good, Sarin could catch his breath for a second while Hali distracted him. He looked around, wondering if he could find a stick or a pipe or something he could grab to conk the big guy on the head with and maybe knock him out. Or maybe it was time for his panic attack…

Polarite laughed at the senshi’s paltry attempts at hitting him. “You call that a punch? I barely felt that s**t,” he said and punched him in the nose. The sight of blood running down his face was more satisfying than he had expected it to be. His next punch, he aimed for his eye. He was having fun, and he could sense Salee behind him enjoying the show.

He almost ignored the fast approaching footsteps behind him, but the new guy’s words accompanied with Salee’s cry of pain had him forgetting about the little senshi altogether. Seeing her struggling to breathe at the hands of this new ******** nearly sent Polarite into a rage. “That how you win fights? You sneak up behind women and choke them until they pass out?” he shouted as he came closer. “Let her go, I’ll fight you!”

Once Hali saw that the big man let Sarin go, he tightened his arm around the girl's neck once more before tossing to the side like a rag doll. He didn't bother to see if she would be alright, figuring the stupid girl wouldn't be on the wrong side if she wanted to be alright. Sarin told him about the little girl and her rope as well as her little tricks. So no, he was not concerned when the girl knew how to play just as dirty as him. Cracking his neck, Hali put his fists up and chuckled. Boy didn't know he was fighting a professional MMA fighter. Well, he was going to learn soon enough.

Polarite eyed the man as he assumed a fighting position. So he was some kind of trained fighter. Well, so was Polarite. Coming to a stop across from the new guy, he put up his fists as well. He didn’t wait for the other guy and immediately began his attack. Normally he would test out an opponent before going all out, but this a*****e had hurt Salee and he wasn’t going to just let that slide. He aimed for what looked like his opponent’s openings, wanting to end this fight as soon as possible so he could check on Salee.

Ahh this kid was a trained fighter huh?

Hali cackled, ducking and dodging the hits like he usually would. The kid had experience but…He aimed a hard hitting kick to his opponent’s left side, bringing his leg down for a jab to the face with his right hand. So apparently he could deduce that the girl was someone special to the giant in front of him, something to note for Sarin later. He was about to take him through the school of Damien, just like he did Cass. Eventually he would learn that you have to use the environment around you as well as anyone else you can to your advantage when fighting the enemy, which is what these stupid punks were. Once you take gender out of the equation it becomes really easy to focus on taking out your opponent.

Polarite grunted at the kick to his left and barely dodged the jab to his face. This guy seemed to be better than he had expected. But that was fine; he just needed to pull out all the stops. He was ignoring the already throbbing ache in his side from that kick as he threw an underhand punch toward the other man’s stomach. Meanwhile, his other fist aimed for his opponent’s face. It had been a long time since he’d had an all out fight like this, since he’d used his training for anything other than sparring. Orange eyes flicked to where Salee lay, making sure the ginger wasn’t touching her.

Sarin had watched Hali work, admiring the way the older man fought. s**t, he was so not up to par when it came to actually fighting these people. He needed a lot more training and he hoped Damien and Mitry would take pity on him and help him out some more. Not too far from where he was, that girl lay on the ground knocked out from Hali. He didn’t seem to have any problems attacking enemy females at all. Sarin needed to learn how to be that way, too. He grumbled to himself and got up to make his way over to the girl, feeling that any threat to the girl would distract the orange-eyed giant. Plus, he had that other trick up his sleeve as the only senshi on the battlefield.

Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Panic Button
Sarin whistles and it causes the intended target to feel a rush of panic: heart rate speeds up, breathing gets a little harder, etc. This lasts for about 30 seconds. He can use this up to three times in a battle.

With a whistle, Sarin aimed his minor panic attack at the enemy fighting his friend with the hope that it would give Hali the opening he would need to end this fight as soon as possible.

He figured he would have to tank a hit so taking the one to the stomach was what he would do. The shot winded him a bit and he chuckled, “Nice one ******** that hurt.” He saw the fist aimed for his face and he caught it, increasing the pressure of his hold on the fist, twisting it the wrong way with a smile while he pulled the bigger male close, jamming his knee into his stomach. “But….I can guarantee mine hurts more.” After the knee to his stomach, he used the hold he had on the other’s hand to shove him back a little, only to literally spartan kick him across the way. Sure he heard Sarin’s attack but he was more interested in seeing what this big guy could do. So he started walking casually, laughing and sweeping his hand through his hair to rid himself of some of the sweat. “C’mon kid…Your girl needs you….Gonna just let an old man like me beat your a**? Clearly you need to do better…If I was a worse man…That girl would never go back home with you…” He stopped just shy of his reach, “Get me?”

Then he came closer, foot raised to slam it on top of his head. “Better get up, boy. Wanna be on the wrong side? Best be able to handle the consequences.”

He had to admit he felt a little pride at landing that hit to his stomach, but that pride was short-lived as his fist was caught and twisted. Polarite couldn’t stop the shouted curse as he moved to avoid getting his wrist broken. Mere moments later, the wind was knocked from him as he took a knee to the stomach. The spartan kick did nothing to help his breathing and when he landed a few feet away he was struggling to draw in enough oxygen for even half a breath when he heard someone whistle.

It had been years since he’d had this feeling. ******** panic? Where the ******** had this come from? Breathing became just that much harder as his heart pounded in his chest. He had to get up. The other man’s words did nothing but piss him off, but it almost seemed to help the panic back off as he drew himself up off the ground. Breathing was still difficult, but it didn’t stop him charging at the other man beneath his leg to try and knock him off balance. A big shoulder in the guy’s balls wouldn’t hurt either. Well, it wouldn’t hurt Polarite anyway.

Okay so….He had to give the guy credit for that.

Hali did get knocked off balance but at least managed to move his leg in the way of the ball shot. But that didn't stop him from stumbling. Instead, he looked to Sarin, “If you're going to do something kid. Do it now or we can leave, your choice because I can fight this giant all damned day!” He laughed, then decided that he would make the bigger man panic, smirking and making his way over towards the girl that was lying prone on the ground. “I told you boy ... .Better get your girl before I do~” He made sure to take his time, figuring he would take the girl and leave or if he didn't care, he would leave her behind to save his own skin.

Sarin huffed softly when Hali told him to do something if he was going to. He had; it just hadn't worked like he wanted it to. It was the first time his panic had failed him, but not the first time he had doubts about his worth as a senshi. He started to tell Hali he was fine with leaving when the older man started making his way to the girl. Maybe he'd let this play out first, see if the big guy would retreat with his girl or not.

Real panic gripped him as his opponent started for Salee. No! He couldn't let them have her! Rushing past, he grabbed Salee and threw her over his shoulder, turning to keep his body between hers and the guy he'd been fighting. “This isn't over,” he said, glaring at the older man. Their fight was merely paused while he got Salee to safety. The next time they met… They would see who would come out on top. He hated the feeling of cowardice that hit him as he took a few steps away from the Order pair. Just far enough that turning away to get out of there wasn't too big of a risk. He needed to get Salee home to make sure she wouldn't have any lasting damage from getting choked out.
