Vendors have set up stalls with snacks and artisan goods, and you can bring your own sled, innertube, skis or snowboard–or borrow, courtesy of the city, if you don’t have one already. Whether there’s been recent snow or not, DCU has some artificial, environmentally friendly artificial snow to keep the slopes fresh. You might not find an opportunity like this without heading elsewhere in the city, so why not take advantage of some fresh, free Winter fun?
Once there, he marveled at the set up. Not only was the hill an epic one - sixty feet tall?? So cool! - but there were a bunch of vendors, too. Maybe he could find some hot chocolate after he was done sledding. He took a peek at some of the vendors before he headed to the hill, breathing in the amazing scents of food and looking at the amazing crafts for sale. He'd already seen a few things his sister would like. Maybe he could find something for Damien and Mitry? Just to thank them for helping him out in the gym.
After he'd looked around a bit, he could practically hear the hill calling to him, so he made his way to the bottom of the hill to make his way up.

Vaina was lazy but she wasn't totally against having fun once in a while she didn't like the idea of having to go up all those steps and stuff but the ride down she would be sitting and able to see all sorts of stuff blurr by so she had decided this was ok. She walked up and got in line. She was dress in a warm brown coat and a brown and green hat. She wasn't bit on Christmas red so she stuck with green. She didn't mind the season and this was her first as a senshi. She also didn't mind waiting in line since that meant she didn't have to move fast as she went along her way. She could take her time as the line moved along and chat with people in the mean time. She had a soft smiled on her face as she relaxed as they waited.

Jadyn turned when he realized someone had gotten in line behind him for the hill. "Hiya," he said and smiled. "Happy holidays!" Christmas was his favorite holiday, and he was feeling very much in the spirit of Christmas today. He and his dad had always gone sledding when he was a kid, down hills in the park and one time they built their own hill and covered it in snow. This would, of course, be the biggest hill he'd ever gone down by far. And he was exceedingly excited about it.
"Are you excited about the hill or the vendors more?" he asked conversationally. He was still thinking about what had been for sale and what he could find as gifts for the people closest to him. He'd seen a stall with custom kitchen tools like measuring cups and things like that. Marni would love a set, even if all she did with them was decorate her kitchen with it. As far as Damien and Mitry... Well, he was sure he'd be able to find something they would appreciate. "It looks like a great place to get some last minute Christmas gifts, right?"
Hefting his sled to one hand, he held the other glove covered one to the pretty girl behind him. "I'm Jadyn, by the way." He grinned and a light blush colored his cheeks. "Sorry, little over excited. If you don't wanna talk, that's cool, too." He did have a tendency to talk a lot when he was excited, or upset. Sometimes he needed reminding that not everyone was as friendly as he was and they didn't always want to talk to random strangers.

Vaina turned to the sound of a voice talking to her and she nodded and said "Hi." She smiled a little and said "Happy Holidays." She liked snow when she could be in a cozy blanket with some hot cocoa and just relax maybe take a nap. Going out was odd for her normally. "I'm Vaina.." She paused and then said "I guess the hill first and then maybe the vendors.." She nodded she really hadn't started shopping at all so that was a problem, so the vendors might be useful to her. She shook her head "Just slow down and chill it's no big deal if you just breath and take things one thing at a time." She shrugged "I don't mind talking to you."

Jadyn beamed when she responded, happy that he'd found someone who didn't mind chatting with him while they waited in line for the hill. "Pleased to meet you, Vaina," he said. He really did need to make more friends, he didn't really have anyone to hang out with except some guys from college that he wasn't really all that close to.
A soft blush colored his cheeks as he chuckled. "That's hard to remember sometimes," he told her. Especially when he got excited about something.

She smiled more fully this time and then said "Don't worry about it, come on let's go slide down the hill and then we can go shopping if you want to hang out for a while." She needed to get some gifts for her family and friends. Being around another person could help her feel more active and a little less lazy. She had to shake off her laziness once and a while so she could actually get some stuff done. She figured she would have to do the same with Thebe since she needed to go to her homeworld she had never been there before and she needed to change that. She worried what state it was in at this point.

] "Sounds great!" Jadyn said and smiled. It didn't feel like a long trip up the hill with Vaina as a conversation partner. She was fun to talk to, and he was glad they had met here. He learned that she still hadn't gotten any of her shopping done, and he confessed to the same. Christmas was just around the corner, but there was just something about this year that hadn't given him the same joy or urgency that he'd had in previous years.
Maybe all he had needed was a new friend.
Finally, they had made it up the hill and Jadyn got himself situated on his sled. "See you at the bottom!" he grinned up at her before going down the hill with a gleeful yell.

Vaina laughed as they went to the top and she watched her new friend slide down the hill and she followed when she was able to do so meeting Jadyn at the bottom so they could decide if they wanted to go again or if they wanted to start shopping. She loved the feel of the speed without having to do any actual work. Watching the world speed by her. Her cheeks were a little red when she reached the bottom but she was happy none the less. "Alright so go again or do you want to go shopping now?" She asked.

Jadyn cheered as Vaina came down after him. "Yeah! That was awesome, right?" he said with a grin. "Why don't we do some shopping first? Then maybe we can go again afterward." He had borrowed Marni's car to get his sled to the slope, so if they needed a place to keep their stuff he could volunteer her car. "Anything you're looking for in particular? I can help you look," he offered with a smile.

Vaina shook her head and said "No, but you are right that was an amazing ride, I just need to find some presents for my family and then I want to go home and get some sleep, I am proudly lazy." She teased making a funny face. "What about you are you shopping for anyone special?" She asked.

He laughed softly and nodded. "Nothing wrong with that," he said. "I have lazy days." He thought for a moment as they got to the first vendors. "I still need to get something for my sister, and a couple new friends." Nothing too extravagant for Mitry and Damien, but something small to show his appreciation of their help and friendship.

Vaian smiled she liked Jadyn a lot they got along really well so far. "Well let's get this shopping done so we can both head home for some hot chocolate." She said with a smile. (Fin?)
