It hadn't been easy. Illyria struggled with finding just the right balance of what needed to be transported to Ida. The idea had not faded one iota since it dawned on her that she wanted to surprise her bonded partner once more. The small Mauvian had hemmed and hawed over possible physical signs of affection for Orah but in lieu of the attention that Orah seemed to be getting from a certain suitor there was doubt in the cat's mind that affection wasn't the way to go this Christmas. Instead of letting that bother her though the young cat had decided on another course of action. She was going to bring a small piece of the holidays up to Ida's garden. Hopefully the bag that she had amassed would be enough to gussy up the small garden area or even the small room Ida had shown her on her first visit to the asteroid. The bag contained packed away strings of soft white lights and a few random boxes of ornaments that could be hung from various branches with the ease of convenience that being a cat entailed. A roll of fishing line combined with scissors rounded out the contents of the bag. Knowing that there was a source of power on the asteroid had helped but Illyria would probably have to fiddle with the solar power charger in order to get the lights to work properly if she strung them up around the garden's perimeter, but she was resourceful enough that it wouldn't be a problem.

Sending the packed bag into her subspace pocket Illyria exited Orah's room for the balcony access before eyeing the charm that hung from her ribbon. This charm alone was Illyria's ticket to Orah's homeworld to plan this little holiday-themed surprise. Pressing a paw to the charm Illyria gently tapped on the metal before she felt the sensation of the world fading away to be replaced by the lushness of Ida's world.

Since the chaos infection had been cleared; it looked like the world was back on track to being the vibrant place it had been before. The long grass stems tickled the cat's nose and it was with a sense of relief that she phased into her humanoid form and summoned the bag out of her subspace pocket. Slinging it over one shoulder the young woman moved with a graceful stride before spinning around in a circle. It was so freeing being up on Ida; a place where she could assume this form without worrying about being ambushed for the extra oomph her aura signature would be giving off.

With the smallest moment to pause and reflect Illyria made her way to the path that would take her to Orah's garden on Ida. Even though she had a feeling that she had the whole place to herself, there was always the chance that she could be surprised by something out of the blue happening: namely that entailed being interrupted.

Sitting down on one of the cushions that littered the side of the plotted garden did Illyria set out unboxing her various treasures. The strings of lights were all gently untangled before she found the solar panel generator and made a small sound of triumph when the thing looked like it would work with what she had. The next step was testing every string of lights individually to ensure they all worked.

Going around the small garden did Illyria start to string the lights up in the hedges making sure that each one was in reach of connecting with another string. She wouldn't want to overload the circuits and plug them all in at once, no she'd go one at a time. Once the lights were all strung up did Illyria approach the generator once more. In one hand she held the end of the final string and she gently plugged it into the machine and was rewarded when all the lights turned on. Going to the next string Illyria plugged those ones in as well before repeating the process a few more times. Now everything seemed connected well and nothing seemed to be on the fritz so it was a success in the Mauvian's mind. The lights not only encircled certain hedges but she had laid down a strip to surround the seating area as well.

Leaving the lights plugged in for the moment Illyria dug out the fishing line and scissors as well as the ornaments. Here the Mauvian paused once more. While the ornaments would look good hanging down from various branches, perhaps it was a risk that she wasn't going to take. Maybe the lights would be enough for Ida's garden. Putting the ornaments back into her bag Illyria sighed before stretching out on the blanket and cushions long enough to watch as daylight began to fade. The lights made Orah's garden take on an ethereal glow and she gave the softest of smiles before rolling over. Her gaze fell on the machine providing the power and with a bit of regret she flicked the power off. It wouldn't do well to drain the energy that had been gathered just because the lights looked beautiful in the approaching twilight.

Letting go of her human form, Illyria curled up into a tight ball before allowing herself to relax. She couldn't pull energy from the planet like its senshi but there was that atmosphere that made it feel like everything was right with the world. Would the attempt she made to make this area just a little more welcoming be welcomed in the end ... Illyria would just have to wait and see. For a non-affection oriented gift for Christmas, it had been a brilliant idea.
