Even with all the energy of a preteen boy, Cae is a rather lazy soul. He’d much rather lounge and watch TV than go out and play sports. He likes to lounge about and will be hard pressed to do vigorous activities, even if invited.

Cae’s mood is always in a casual sort of state. It takes a lot to get him all worked up, and even then, he usually hangs on the softer side. He almost never gets angry, instead opting to have calm talk to figure out feelings.

Cadfael loves to make people laugh. He enjoys telling jokes or silly stories in order to make others happy. He is good at keeping an upbeat attitude and passing it along to anyone who needs a bit of joy.

It doesn’t take much to become close with Cadfael, and once done, you’re a friend for life. He’ll do dang near anything to keep his friends close.

Good things just seem to Cadfael. He’s just got something looking out for him, it seems. He always thinks that good things come back around, so as long as he keeps doing good, the universe shall provide good to him.

Cadfael was born 8 minutes older than his twin, Ceridwyn. Their parents were both surprised to find out they’d be having twins, especially boy-girl twins. Thankfully, they were able to set aside enough to make a nice little double-nursery in their small flat. The kids, who were super similar, had a good childhood. Though Cae was always more relaxed and happy to just be hugged, he was glad for his sister to be his quirky opposite.

When the twins were just starting on food, they ended up spending a lot of time in the hospital, thanks to a rough combination of allergies. It was around here that Ceri’s terror of doctors and needles started. But every time, Cae held his sister’s hand until they were able to go home.

When the kids were three, they were chased by their neighbor’s german shepherd and Cae got hurt during the process. Ceri held his hand the whole time they were at the doctor’s, even though she was frightened.

They grew up, growing closer, despite their differences. They both learned piano from their da, while they learned video games from mam. It was when the kids started kindergarten that mam took a job as a video game designer. They moved away from their small village in Hay-on-Wye to the big city of Cardiff. Thankfully, their da’s work as an actuary was pretty easy to take anywhere.

The kids had a fun little life, though when they were 7, Ceri fell out of a tree and broke her leg. As she was crying, Cae accidentally used magic to make bubbles float all around them. Even in the hospital, he did everything he could to make his sister happy, especially given her fear. It was around the same time the family discovered Cadfael was on the verge of narcoleptic when he fell asleep standing up to help Ceri.

When they were 8, Ceri really wanted to have her ears pierced, just like the other girls at school, but with her fear of needles, it was too scary to consider. When Cae noticed her upset, he volunteered to get his done at the same time so she wouldn’t have to be scared all alone.

Age 9 was when their orthodontist decided it was time to adjust the kids’ messy teeth (courtesy of da, of course), so they got braces together. Cae’s were all red, his favorite color, but Ceri opted to get all the colors of the rainbow. What better showcase of their styles?

At the age of eleven, the two found out together that they were magical, and would be invited to a special school for magic. Despite being a bit afraid, they knew that as long as they were together, they would make the best of everything.
