Dawn had been looking for a place to celebrate her twin brother's fourth and final perfect report card of the year - their foster mother had told her to scout out and find a place that he'd liked to eat at - since obviously 4 consecutive perfect report cards for a student of Hillworth was not that easy to accomplish... and their cousin Dreama had mentioned this bakery and the owner.... Amigar. It looked good to the naked eye, and everyone seemed to enjoy their orders. Davie would love it. Now to meet the owner. She cleared her throat. "Excuse, me, I was told to look for Amigar?" She asked as she reached the counter. She did not have a British accent like her cousin, Dreama, but Dawn did somewhat resemble Dreama, minus the green hair. "I was referred here by someone named Dreama."

Amigar had been working since 4 am today. Since they just got a slue of last minute orders in since everyone was celebrating for memorial day weekend. She was so happy to have so many customers that wanted to use her bakery. Her dream was definitely becoming a reality.
She took a deep breath as she finished the prep work for the last order and passed it on to her staff. "I need something to do now," she said under her breath with a laugh. Just as if someone had heard her wish, she turned around to heard her name mentioned. She smiled and walked towards the person.
"Hello there! I'm Amigar, nice to meet ya!" She said with a smile and then as she heard the name Dreama. Her face lit up. She hadn't seen Dreama since star fest? Maybe later, but she did remember seeing her at the wishing tree. Then as she looked closer at the person before her, she realized they looked really similar to Dreama.
"Oh my gosh yes! I haven't seen her since Star fest, ya know you kind of remind me of her a bit. Family? Oh and I totally forgot to ask what can I help you with today?" She didn't mean to talk so much but her energy was up today. Now that may have been the two cups of Frappuccino's she had had or the excitement to hear her friend's name.

Dawn greeted Amigar with a smile, pushing her dark auburn hair behind her left ear. "Wonderful to meet you, Amigar." She listened to Amigar's excitement about Dreama, for some minutes, before answering Amigar's question about being family of Dreama. "Yes, apparently she is my cousin from across the pond." Obviously, Amigar and Dreama were excellent friends. Finally, Amigar, a little sheepish and embarrassed, asked what she could help Dawn with, and Dawn replied with her face reddening, "I'm looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion? Would it.... would it be...okay if we talked in private?" She looked around nervously.

Amigar was slightly excited to meet some of Dreama's family. She hadn't ever asked her about it before. Then again they had so many other things to talk about instead. Family was one of those topics that unless asked, normally never came up. Amigar's eyes widened slightly in surprise, but she quickly composed herself with a warm smile. "Of course, Dawn," she said, gesturing towards her office in the back left corner of the shop. "Let's find a more private spot to chat about your special occasion." She walked back with a smile. Her office was filled with bright colors and tons of bakery sketches
The office had a cozy, welcoming feel, with the scent of freshly baked bread lingering in the air. Colorful art prints adorned the walls, and a large window allowed natural light to flood the room, enhancing the vibrant hues. A small wooden desk, cluttered with recipe books and flour-dusted notepads, sat in the corner, adding to the room's charming, lived-in ambiance.

Dawn smiled, "This a beautiful and cozy office." She asked if they could sit down. "So, the thing is that Dreama is indirectly involved in the long story behind this." She frowned and sighed. "Where do I begin?" She seemed to ask herself. "So, our father was Dreama's uncle, brother of her father. He was a naturalized citizen that came to the US a few years before we were born and married our mother. Unfortunately, he died when we were two years old, and our mother couldn't deal with his death." Dawn seemed to want to get through her story quick as possible. "She left my twin brother and I at a playground and vanished. Dreama's parents attempted to take us in, but there was some kind of international problem, so they backed off. Dreama heard the story growing up and wanted to find us and reunite the family - that is why she came here -we knew nothing of it until we met. Anyways- you can probably imagine the pain we went through... and the trouble we got into. Anyways, our foster mother had to put us into St. Magelinas,, and Hillworth." "Sorry for the life story, but I wanted you understand where we came from first, now for the special occasion. My twin brother, Davie, has made his fourth and final (of the year) perfect (behavioral as wel) report card. You can imagine what this means to us."

Amigar had never known all of this. Amigar's eyes widened with empathy as she listened to Dawn's story. She wanted to reach out to gently squeeze Dawn's hand, but instead she grabbed her own arm and set it on her desk. Instead she was offering silent support with her eyes and words. "Wow, Dawn, that's an incredible journey," she said softly, her voice filled with genuine admiration and understanding.
"I can't say I've ever been through that," she said since in reality her family was pretty drama free. Minus her mother being a model and her father being a world-renowned pastry chef. She never really went through anything other than occasionally being along while they traveled. She paused and took a deep breath before continuing, "I guess I'm just really in awe of all that you've all gone through. It must have been incredibly difficult and I can definitely see why his perfect report card is so important for you all!"
After reflecting on everything she pulled out a cute little cupcake notepad and blue pen with a cupcake smiling topper. "Though I'd love to hear what you had in mind for celebrating and any way I can help I definitely would love too!" she said happily.

"Hmm." Dawn, in truth, hadn't gotten that far. Hmm indeed - but wait... "Well, the only possibility is something to do with his passion; botanical photography, and hmm some kind of pie or cake? Think you have anything to go with that?"

Amigar listened closely and a lightbulb popped in her head! She had the perfect idea. She loved doing floral things and she had a million possible ideas. She quickly began doodling on the pink cupcake notebook in front of her. Slowly her ideas began to form in a image instead of just a thought.
"So one thing I was thinking is on a cake I could do one of his photography images but I can bring it to life. It will feel like the picture is coming to life on top of a berry based cake. Then for the cake pops shaped like some of his favorite flowers or things to photograph. Not only that but I can make different tarts that look like flower bushes but with different edible berries," she said as she held out her notepad pointing at each one. She didn't mean to rabble on but she had so many ideas since this was something that sounded like so much fun. Plus she could spearhead the whole process from start to delivering it to the event location.
"what do you think?" She said with a smile on her face.

Dawn nodded excited...... then frowned, "There's just one thing..." She sighed. "How much is this all going to cost? - We are just wards of the state - only so money comes out to us.."

Amigar smiled and put her notebook down on her desk. "Nothing consider it my treat. I needed something to do anyways. I was getting a little bored," she said kindly.
She really didn't mind. Plus with the income she was making and the money her parents sent her from abroad. She could easily cover the cost of materials no problem. "You just tell me the time and place. I'll make sure everything arrives on time," she said with her head already starting to think which piece to work on first. Then she remembered the cake.
"But you could do one thing. if you could email me some of his photograph for the cake. that would be amazing!"

Dawn brightened. "Fair enough. Also, our foster mother owns a floral shop (and all of the older kids work there to earn money). Perhaps you might find some of the floral arrangements to your likening - I'm sure for this, D.D. would be willing to provide them free-of-charge to keep?" Dawn now was beaming.

Amigar liked the sound of that. She could always use fresh flowers. After all flowers made people as happy as her treats did.
"You know what that sounds like a perfect deal to me," she said as she held out her hand to shake. After all no deal was official until you shook on this. For the few years since she took over. She found out that everyone loved a good ole hand shake. Like her dad said make every customer feel important and remember with them you are much stronger as a business. He really valued the community and she wanted her bakery business to be viewed the same way.

Dawn grinned. "Thank you so much." She shook Amigar's hand firmly. "Oh, and by the way, Dreama mentioned that she meant to say goodbye. She's out of town for the month, with a Dance Performance tour for the school. She will see you when she can - and told me that your bonbons were excellent."

Amigar smiled happily. She was glad they were off to a great start for the wonderful celebration to come!
She smiled warmly and was so happy to hear that. She understood life got busy. She was busy every day. "That's wonderful to hear! I'll make sure to prepare a special batch of bonbons just for her when she gets back. Maybe I'll even come up with a new flavor in her honor."
She knew that may sound crazy but good friends could be great dessert inspiration. Just at that thought she heard her name being called by one of her employees "oops looks like I'm needed out there, but I am so glad we got to meet. Feel free to text me with anything and I look forward to working on this with you!"
