He could, as he walked, sense…something but he wasn’t sure what.
He really should actually try and commit to this knight thing, and he knew it, but it just felt so…off. Maybe it wouldn’t if he gave it a fair try? He was in his thirties and he had always acted his age, if not a bit older, so why was this just so hard for him to work with?
Shaking his head, to dislodge himself from his thoughts, the page continued on his way. Unknowingly heading right towards the darkness he sensed.
-----------
This was too easy.
Originally, Meinel thought that having a quota and the energy gathering that went with it would be nothing short of difficult. She knew basic self defense, but she wasn't out here throwing karate hands or anything like that. So instead of using force, she simply started dancing like she was trying to perform for an audition. Granted her heels were less than ideal for ballet but she wasn't trying to go for total perfection here.
Since it was the middle of the night [combined with the fact that she wasn't very intimidating due to her tiny size], she started to draw in some….Unsavory people. Using her pretty fabric and twirls to become them further, she ran her hand along the underside of her opposite, whispering “Oleander's Allure.” The effect was almost immediate and before she knew it, two men started to approach her in a haze while she kept dancing and twirling, siphoning energy as soon as they were close enough.
Really, men were so….Simple.
It's a shame really.
Meinel stopped her dancing to see if she could figure out what to do with the now sleeping men at her feet, one delicate finger tapping her lower lip. “Well I suppose I could just leave you two here as props?” That might be a new experiment to try.
As she started moving the men around, she felt a weird signature moving towards her, prompting her to move quickly. As the signature got closer, she managed to finish, moving back into position with a small grin as he began her dance anew.

He expected to see something similar to that other corrupted senshi he’d run into, easy to pick out and clearly doing something wrong. This time the outfit gave it away, though not as easily as the other had. This one also wasn’t attacking anyone - she was dancing. But the unconscious people at her feet told him the truth of things.
“Attacking innocent people.” Standing there, watching, dark eyes focused on the corrupt senshi, at least he assumed as much. He didn’t see anything which indicated this was a negaverse officer, not that he really understood the difference between a corrupt senshi and an officer, he knew there was a difference though. He really should get his act together and ask Hyeon about things.
“You should really leave the people of this city alone.”
-----------
Ah! So this person was a part of the people Beni warned her about, right?
It should be obvious with all the white and whatnot cocking her head to the side, Mei rolled her eyes and shrugged. “Oh hush avenger, they're still living, just sleeping.” She stepped around the fallen man, light on her feet as she got closer. “I have a quota to make. So, if you would kindly do ME the favor of leaving ME alone, that would be appreciated.” Mei would keep her distance for now, but should he get closer all she had to do was touch her skin and watch as the poison took hold.
If push came to shove and she was in danger, then she would notify one of her cousins to come to her rescue, she wasn't afraid to bring them in.
-----------
“Yes, in a park where you are going to leave them sleeping where anyone can harm them.” He snapped, not at all pleased with the idea. No one should be left so open and vulnerable and she would no doubt do just that.
“I can’t let you continue draining people of their energy.” And he wouldn’t either, staring at her as she got closer to him. Though she wasn’t too close…not close enough to attack him, at least he didn’t think so. So knew she was magic, like that other one had, but what kind of magic he didn’t know.
The sea shell he summoned was of a good size and he would use it on her if need be - he would swing at her with it.
-----------
Oh here we go…
Meinel rolled her eyes yet again and dared to step closer, keeping her hands behind her back while she watched the seashell in her opponent’s hand, “You can and you will. That would be the best thing for you to do actually. It's not like I'm hurting them. They’ll go to sleep and wake up minutes later, no harm no foul.” Her face crumbled slightly, “I don't want you to get hurt…Please don't make me fight you.” She was almost at arms length, sniffling while she ran her finger along the palm of her hand while they were behind her back.
The mist would start soon and she would get the change to drain her first order! How exciting!
-----------
“Me get hurt…” How on Earth was he going to get hurt? It sounded like she somehow thought she could beat him, not that he really wanted to beat on her, but he did want her to leave these poor people alone.
Moving to close the distance between them the knight was point ing with one hand, the one not holding the sea shell, to the downed people. “You leave them where they are and leave. That’s how we both end tonight without a fight.” Never mind she was draining his energy and he didn’t notice it, not yet anyway.
-----------
Oh?
The cute pout wasn't working?
Meinel could smell the floral scent of her power, moving to close the distance on her end as well while she removed her hands from behind her back. Once she was close enough, she placed her hand on his chest to drain his energy more directly, closing the gap to look up at his face with her head tilted to the side. “Really? I'm not sure that's how this night is going to go.” Having played around with her powers a bit, Meinel knew that her little scent trick was more potent and sickening the closer the target was to the source.
Hence the reasoning for closing in when she would normally wait for them to come to her.
“You see….I'm a senshi. You know I have powers.”
Keeping her hand on him at all times, she started to dance and twirl around him as if she were at practice. “Despite this little fact, you let me get close to you and that will be your downfall.”
She also knew that very same, sweet-smelling, toxic scent also seemed to draw people close to her.
-----------
He knew senshi had magic, had power, but the fact that he was feeling weak and tired around her was absurd. It didn’t help that he felt sick, like his stomach was churning, as if he’d eaten something bad or hadn’t eaten at all for hours.
Taking a slowing breath, to try and ease the feeling of nausea, as many in his spot would do it took the knight a moment to realize she was draining his energy - that was why the tired feeling. She had a hand right on him while she danced. Swinging out with the shell, aiming for her head or face…or really whatever he could hit.
-----------
Oh….This one still had claws it seemed.
Meinel’s eyes widened a small fraction before she twirled out of the way, just barely missing the shell. “Well that wasn't a nice thing to do little white knight.” Her power was still active and she found it strange that he wasn't drawn to her like everyone else. “You're pretty tough…” She followed up by returning his swing with a kick of her own, utilizing her ballerina skills to amplify the grace of what would be an ordinary back flip kick. With her heels that would have to be pretty painful if it landed. However if it did not, she put some more space between them, now closer to her other victims.
Either way she would be able to make her exit soon. She was done with these civilians anyway, having met her quota and then some with what she took from the knight.
-----------
That kick from her, unexpected as it was, sent the knight reeling and landing on the ground in a heap. The back of his head hit the pavement with a thud, or maybe it was a crack sound, it hurt either way and had him seeing spots as he tried to slowly roll onto his side. He had to keep his mid section safe, even as his head hurt and he saw spots dancing in his vision. This isn't good, he knew that much, and he was alone no less.
While his head hurt his midsection did as well…from those heels. But that was rather hard to notice when he was still blinking away spots and his head was throbbing and was painful and then some.
“Damn it.”
-----------
With enough distance between them, Meinel decided to take her exit. She looked at the knight and waved, “Next time, try not to be such a hero, yeah?” She hummed a soft tune, light on her feet as she walked Away. Today was….Fruitful.
