When it was all taken care of, and her savings account was looking a lot less full, Sadie stood and held her hand out to Adam. “Thank you so much. That was a whole lot easier than I was anticipating…can I ask, what made you get into banking? Was it like, something you always wanted to do or did you like, start here and find you were surprisingly good at it?”
Sighing, Sadie curled a strand of hair around her finger. “I’ll be honest, right now, and since I started working, I’ve been a model, and while it’s definitely a great way to earn money, my face is only going to be this pretty for so long, you know?”
The smile she gave was a little embarrassed, she wasn’t trying to be flirty. Not with a man. Ew. But. She knew she came off as it. “I was giving some thought to maybe starting my own like…coaching business? What recommendations do you have for someone wanting to possibly…you know. Be an independent worker and rake in the money. You seem like you really enjoy raking in the money, which. I absolutely respect.”
And she did! She just…couldn’t see herself as a banker. Or. Honestly? As anything, really.

Adam was at work considerably longer than he would have expected to be especially on a Friday, but he was banking on getting successful signups to their promotion earning him some brownie points. Did he need to be the one doing this? No. Did the upper management like when even the higher management seemed approachable and able to answer questions? Of course. It all made them look better, and Adam understood how this game worked. Sometimes, it reflected well on him, too. So when Sadie kept asking him questions, he swallowed the temptation to ask her to ask someone else, or even to tell her to hush, and engaged with her question. Career advice. He was a managing director at a bank. That did mean she was correctly aiming high even if her goals were not explicit beyond graduating soon and needed control of her life. Always a good place to start. The smile was flirty even if she did not intend it. That meant he shot her a flirtatious smirk right back as he answered. "If you're looking for an independent business, you need to register as an LLC ASAP. It will make it easier to pay yourself and pay the government taxes later." That being said, for his own desire to enter banking-- "Oh, how I figured it out? A job where I could mostly be left alone, but with the influence of knowing and controlling everything about the flow of money. Absolutely what I want." Well. In theory.

Sadie withdrew her notebook from her bag, the one she had been using the full time to take some notes and jotted down the advice. It was good advice. “I’ll work on that. I’m…going to be switching agencies soon, and I wanted to run my idea by the owner first so. I’ll definitely work on that.”
She snorted at his reasoning, but it made sense, she supposed. A job with control…she could see how it would be something someone could want.
“...Tell me, and this is just between you and me. But do you ever like. Want to go full movie villain and just…take all the money? Is that something you’ve ever been tempted to do, and…”
Sadie grinned sheepishly. “...How realistic are the movies? Would it just be as easy as like. Pressing a few buttons? Have you ever had a bank robbery? Did they wear ski masks?”

Her snort drew a small roll of his eyes. She did ask. If Sadie here wanted to more what motivated Adam to his particular career, that was assuredly part of it. The other parts of it included chasing the family desires and getting his position back at the bank after the White Moon had ruined his cushy position at the Augusta. That wasn't so much a career motivator as a motivator for himself now -- Wait. Full movie villain? Something about his expression shifted to one of amusement. He did take souls. He wasn't going to tell her that, or course, but perhaps he was already closer to that than she thought. "Take all the money? It may be nice to never work again, yes?" He never had to work again in the first place if he wanted to take that approach. His parents might grow disappointed, though. His goal was to keep them happy to keep his access to the inheritance. Ugh. Another valid question, though. He had something similar he could speak of. "I have not dealt with too many bank robberies myself. But a lot of them actually do their best to blend in until they do their best to ... Mm. Earn their money." Such as the people who worked together to break open the safe at Augusta, acting like they belonged there--

Sadie laughed and nodded. “Like, sometimes I just wish I could win the lottery, but I don’t ever bother playing so that’s never going to work out for me. But…Shoot! You’ve actually seen a robbery? That…sounds…terrifying. I’d say mildly but that would be an absolute lie…were you involved? Did you get hurt?”
Unconsciously, her eyes swept over him, as though she could see any injuries that he might have sustained. It must have been…
Well. She had been a part of a banking…issue. She had forgotten that but…
A small shudder wracked her body and she pulled her phone out, wincing as she saw it was nearly five. “I’m so sorry to have kept you, but I thank you for everything that you’ve done for me today! I’m excited to see how things shake out…and you…enjoy your weekend and stay away from robbers!”
She gave a little wave and turned away, though paused and glanced back. “And don’t go being Lex Luthor now…if you do, leave my money alone, I don’t have enough for you to take, but…everyone else–free game! Bye!”
With another wave, Targovishte hurried out of the bank, wanting to try to get home before the traffic got too terrible.

Involved? No. But he was working at the bank that the White Moon had decided to destroy. Had he gotten hurt? When he realized what was going on he wasted no time getting there to try and tell these silly people dressed in white--of course, white--to go ******** themselves, and it had resulted in him getting involved in fighting. The thing that hurt more than the injuries he obtained was the fact that he lost his entire CEO position. His hand twitched under the table in a way he couldn't quite contain, the smile he wore showing the first signs of cracking. "Yeah, was hurt a bit. There was an explosion." Unfortunately. Made it so his bank couldn't be recovered. It seemed what Adam said reminded Sadie of something, though, because she was very suddenly very interested in clearing herself out. He quirked a brow in curiosity, wondering what she had seen which he might have been familiar with. Of course, it could have just been the concept of being near a bank robbery at all. "I don't plan on being Lex Luthor unless I'm given a proper motivator." A motivator could include those Order people trying to wreck his newest banking home, too. Then he might need to answer with equivalent force. His smile returned to that practiced customer service pleasantry. "Not a problem, Sadie. You have a good night." He definitely needed to go cruising at the clubs tonight.
