Honestly, Borax wasn't a risk taker either.
Something had changed in him when he had received this power. He had realized that going out and patrolling by himself wasn't necessarily a risk anymore. To some degree, he had needed to take the risk when he was a lieutenant. When he was a lieutenant, part of his assignment was just to get himself in trouble on purpose. He needed to start to categorize the members of the white moon around him.
But now? He was a captain. He could teleport away if he had to. He could still continue to learn all the people around him, categorize them, and work to make the general sovereign that led his team... Content enough with him to offer him a promotion. And really, that was all he needed.
Once he was a general, he wouldn't have to deal with Hestia's bullshit anymore, for one.
But perhaps right in front of him he could have another credit towards getting his damn promotion finally.
Borax could feel nearby what he had learned was the sense of a squire. He spun around his own spear and headed towards it. Maybe he could make quick work of this one. And if not, maybe he could continue to categorize. The more entries he could put into the database, the better. If he became prolific at it, maybe he could even angle for something more.
The drive for more power was something he could not quite escape.
