Under Construction (11) : Construction in Destiny City is a constant; it is never surprising to see buildings come and go. However, almost overnight it seems as though a large project has suddenly come to life. Where there was once an abandoned strip mall and a sad, trash laden park, the ground has now been completely bulldozed. There’s no information about this project available in any media outlets or online, and all attempts to research it result in dead ends. A large fence has been put up, but twelve feet of wire isn’t enough to keep out anyone curious enough to investigate. Cameras are set up all over the place and there is a strange, almost magical energy. The space is large enough to be a theme park. Strangely, frosted glass stars in an array of colors can be found randomly across the lot. Someone obviously has big plans for this space–already, some strange, fantastical buildings are going up. The space feels strangely large, and once you have jumped the fence it feels like Destiny City is a world away. The sky seems brighter and the city lights seem far away, almost as though there is some strange barrier separating the construction zone and the rest of the city. And, oddly enough, if you are standing outside the fence and looking into the construction zone, everything appears blurry and it's hard to make out the details. It’s strange, for sure–but nothing seems wrong about it. Yet.
Sailor Sekhmet waited, carefully hidden; for his mentor's best friend to arrive. He would have preferred Etamin himself, but Eternal Sailor Etamin of Hieroglyphics happened to be to be restoring his Homeworld again this weekend (so busy lately with the Homeworld. Eternal Sailor Pasithee of The Blue Lotus (Etamin's Twin Sister) was lodged tightly somewhere between graduating College and restoring her own Homeworld. Chibi Eternal Sailor Leaena of Cheetahs, was also stuck between summer homework and restoring her Homework. His other friends were also busy. Super Sailor Osiris of Justice was very knowledgeable among his friends, so Sekhmet was glad to have his help, however he just didn't know him as well - at least here on Earth - he'd known his Past Life of course. Hence, Sekhmet was a little nervous.
However, trying to stay hidden, was for Sekhmet, on Earth without his disguise, much more difficult - his gold reptilian skin and shiny bald head, made him stick out like a sore thumb.
He soon saw a young Earth Senshi wearing the Fuku of Osiris coming his way. That must be him. He stepped out of his hiding place and waved. "Greetings on behalf of the World of Sekhmet, Super Sailor Osiris of Justice. I, Sailor Sekhmet of Sandstorms greet you!"
(Occ: I hope this is alright. I can change it if I need to.)

Sailor Osiris couldn't believe he was out and about. It felt like college had been taking all his time up lately. He hardly had ever had time to come out on patrol, but for this event he decided to make an exception. Well not only that but when someone he considered a friend called he couldn't say no.
He was finally arriving at the meeting place when he heard someone call out. When he heard the voice he knew it was Sekhmet. "Greetings Sekhmet! Sorry it took me a bit, I had a class to attend before coming," he said as he slowly arrived in front of Sekhmet. It was so nice seeing another sailor again. How long had it really been since his last patrol? The more he thought about it, the more he realized he definitely need to get out more.
"So what can I help you with today?" he said with a smile. Ready to offer any assistance he could.
Sailor Hawk Tag back, hope this works.

3nodding Sekhmet twisted a finger in his ear, a gesture among his people often meaning something like I'm not quite sure how to say this, but..."This might sound weird," Sekhmet paused. "I've been observing this construction site... it went up overnight, I come out here to get a better view and find that my eyesight becomes blurry, when I look through holes in the fence, and finally, I'm not sure but I feel like I sense strangle, powerful magic surrounding and in it...." He pulled on his earlobes ... a sigh of stress. "I guess what I've looking for is a second opinon. "What do you think?" - previous ones.

Osiris wasn't sure what to make of Sekhmet's observations at first. He furrowed his brow, and realized the only way to make out what was going on was to go to the construction site. He needed to at least try to see through the mysterious blur himself. Since if he couldn't, they definitely had a problem. "That is odd," he finally said, his voice tinged with curiosity and concern.
"Lets head to this construction site and see what's going on," since now he was curious he wanted to know what could cause something like that. The lawyer in him needed answers. Since those things don't just happen without reason.

"Agreed." Sekhmet nodded and led the way. *** The construction site was well hidden by the fence and there was only a small round opening in the fence, located under a tree to see the interior. "There.... that is the one place I can find to look through to see." Sekhmet's golden reptilian skin glinted in the sunlight. "I can't figure out what to make of it- see if you can?" Near them, laying on the fence was a construction company's sign, it seemed, but the words seemed to be in a foreign language. Sekhmet frowned and squinted at it.

Osiris nodded and leaned in closer to examine the sign, his eyes narrowing as he tried to make sense of the unfamiliar script. He traced the letters with his finger, feeling a strange, almost magnetic pull emanating from the words. "This isn't any language I've seen before," he muttered, his curiosity deepening.
The air around them felt unusually thick, as if charged with unseen energy. Shadows seemed to dance and flicker at the edge of their vision, despite the bright afternoon sun. The distant sound of machinery was oddly muffled, creating an eerie silence that only heightened the sense of otherworldly presence.
Osiris felt a shiver run down his spine as the magnetic pull grew stronger, almost as if the sign itself was drawing him in. This sensation wasn't just peculiar; it hinted at a deeper, possibly supernatural force at play. "Sekhmet, I think this sign is enchanted if that's possible," he said, stepping back cautiously.

"Oh, it's possible. Can't tell you how many times we've come -- " Sekhmet paused, frowning as another mystical wave enveloped that memory and washed it away. "At least, I know it's possible. And yes, it's a good idea to stay away from it." There was sound like windchimes and the sparkle of silver stars and Sekhmet's brow furled. "That sounds.... oddly familiar... and yet a sound I haven't heard.... in I don't know how long..." He trailed off.

Osiris watched Sekhmet with a mix of concern and intrigue, his brows knitting together. He could see the strain in Sekhmet's eyes as he struggled to grasp the elusive memory. "It's like something is deliberately clouding your mind," Osiris said softly, feeling a growing sense of urgency to understand the mystery before them. Osiris took a deep breath, feeling a surge of determination. He reached out and carefully placed his hand on Sekhmet's shoulder, hoping to offer some comfort and stability. "The strange sensations, the muffled sounds, and the way your memories are being affected all point to some kind of enchantment like you said they exist," Osiris explained.
"It's like this place is designed to confuse and trap us, making it harder to think clearly and remember our purpose. Let's step away from the sign for now and find a safer place to figure this out," he suggested, hoping Sekhmet would be okay with moving away from the source of their unease. "I figure that this place may be enchanted to lure us, the order, in. Since I don't think staying here long will be good for our memories," he could feel his mind begin to cloud.

Sekhmet frowned. "I see what you mean. I already have magical memory problems... and this is making them profoundly worse - did you hear that?" He frowned again. "Hmmm." He stepped over to the hole in the fence... "Oh, Mother Sekhmet!" Sekhmet forgot to ask for forgiveness from the Goddess, for the use of her name as a curse - as he was now literally seeing double. On the one hand, he saw his Homeworld of Sekhmet, where Sekhmite children of all races played in a garden, where he once played as a child. On the other, his Senshi magic cut through the illusion, and he saw human children playing in a toxic dump, and this version was overlapping the other version. It was not often he had migraines, but he had one now. "Sailor Osiris, see what you see now."

Osiris nodded, sensing the urgency in Sekhmet's voice. "I'll try to see through the illusion," he said, closing his eyes and focusing his energy. As he channeled his Senshi magic, he hoped to pierce the veil of enchantment and reveal the true nature of their surroundings. That was when he saw the children playing in the toxic dump, their laughter and joy a stark contrast to the hazardous environment around them. His heart sank as he realized the extent of the deception.
"Sekhmet, it's worse than I thought," he whispered, eyes wide with horror. "We need to get these children to safety immediately." He rushed forward through the crack in the fence without a second thought. There was no way he was letting those children get hurt. It seemed like they didn't even realize their lives were in danger. It must have been the enchantment. "Sekhmet, hurry!" he called out, his voice filled with desperation. "Every second counts; we can't let them stay here any longer." Normally he was very calm but not when children were involved.

Sekhmet called forth a sandstorm that tore the fence down and then stared. Angiess Tinsel Stars and Tikian Wind Chimes hung from trees. He held Osiris back a moment - pointing at the wind chimes. "We need to destroy those first - they are Tikian Wind Chimes - their magic grant you the vision of your heart's desire - until you are lost forever in a dream. The Angiess Tinsel Star drain Dreamers' dreaming energy to nothing." He warned

Osiris knew exactly what he had to do. "Legitimacy Locks go and lock down those chimes!" he said as the orange light was visible. He quickly aimed it at the chimes and it wrapped around them like a tight bind-like grip. The chimes were completely immobilized and unable to move. Osiris smiled in satisfaction.
"That should do the trick," he said with a smile. The moment the chimes were immobilized, the enchantment began to waver. The illusion of a playground started to dissolve, revealing the grim reality of the toxic dump. The children, now freed from the spell, looked around in confusion and fear, realizing the true danger they were in.Quote: This light is in the shape of pair of hand and leg shackles about 2-4 inches thick. He must be within an 8 ft radius of his opponent for this attack to succeed. Once the orange light is visible he quickly aims it toward his opponent and will wrap it around their ankles and wrist in a tight bind-like grip. This attack will last for 25 seconds at most. A special side of this attack is that it will only work on characters/monsters with a chaotic aura about them.

Sekhmet quickly jumped up and bicycle-kicked the stars to destroy them. The children had their energy returned. They turned and saw Osiris, when one child called, "Look it's a Superhero here to save us!" They all ran towards Sailor Osiris and all cried out for them to save them. Meanwhile, Sekhmet (because he was an obvious alien - with shiny golden reptilian skin, golden eyes, and naturally bald head) tried to hide behind a dying tree. It didn't work. A twelve-year-old boy poked his around Osiris, pointed Sekhmet out to Osiris, and cried, "Hero, look! There's the Villian behind you; get him!" All of the children then cried for Osiris to 'get' Sekhmet...

Osiris refused to let Sekhmet be called a villain. After all he just worked so hard to save all those children and that wasn't justice.
Osiris smiled and headed over towards Sekhmet and put his arm around him. "No villains here. All heroes! This one in particular is one of the best and strongest heroes I know." he said with a smile towards Sekhmet.
He hoped that would help the children see that just because he was different didn't make him bad. As he was smiling he felt his phone begin to vibrate in his pocket. An alert for him to study for his exam was buzzing like crazy. an exam he had totally forgotten about till now.
"Well kids now these heroes have to be off! We have other things to save, but be save," he said with a smile and quick wave.

The kids were silent at this point. Then Osiris had to go and Sekhmet nodded, and smiled a thank you. "Then I will help these children get back to their homes." The kids cheered.
