The prompts are meant to guide you; what you do is totally open ended. There are many ways to achieve the end goal and you can customize this based on what feels right for your character. Just because Almadel or the prompt says to do something doesn’t mean you must abide by it specifically.

Quote:
Prompt 1: The group has split up; while a large number of people remain in the storage wing, you have decided to help clear out some of the smaller rooms. Things are packed more securely here, and while there are some oddities on display, for the most part everything is secured in an array of wooden, stone, or metal boxes of varying security. You may see a strange item here or there, or something that catches your eye. There is an undeniably weird hum of energy in the room but Almadel has trusted you to behave.

While you must stay in the area, you can investigate anything. You can PM The Space Cauldron or DM xigglet on Discord if you want to check anything before posting; you can also ask if you can interact with anything or gain extra information about something your character is involved in. It is possible to find an artifact or relic that is some way important or relevant to your character but you must have permission. If you are interested in finding something, please be prepared to give a physical description and any relevant lore; we can work things out with you.

As you investigate, you hear a strange noise. Roll a 1d4 to locate it.
If you roll 1 it is coming from an air vent
If you roll a 2 it is coming from a storage box
If you roll a 3 it is coming from the wall
If you roll a 4 it is coming from under the floor

You can decide how to get to them; you may be fortunate and find a loose tile but you may have to break something to reach them (at player choice). Just remember that Almadel wants his museum in the best condition possible…

Quote:
Prompt 2: You have located the sound–Kosopods, ranging from six inches to two feet wide. They are hard shelled isopods with many legs and prickly tails. They can be nearly any neutral color, it just depends on what they have been eating. They will immediately try to scatter. Roll 1d4 to determine how many Kosopods you have located; you can decide their size.

Quote:
Prompt 3: The Kosopods immediately attack. They are frantic and hungry; they can spit acid that causes agitation and eventually burns through things and they have many sharp legs and sharp points on their shells. They can bite. Their shells are very hard and they can only be damaged by flipping them over to expose their delicate underbelly or possibly by overwhelming them with magic. They cannot be starseeded. They are vulnerable to fire but it might not be a good idea to start setting things ablaze if you want to stay on Almadel’s good side. Roll 1d4 to determine how many Kosopods you have defeated; if you roll lower than the last prompt, you will need to roll again until you defeat them all or hope that your allies rolled high enough to take out some of yours as well. If you roll a higher number here than you did in prompt 2, you can help your allies.

Quote:
Prompt 4: Once the Kosopods have been defeated, you can take a moment to breathe. It sounds like things have calmed down outside in the large room that you arrived in. You can look around the area if you like (and if you sent anything in to find or examine, you can identify it now. It may be possible to steal small items from Almadel if you have sent in for approval). This post can be considered an exit or you can continue roleplaying until you are ready to leave. You can rejoin the closing post of the ORP when it is announced! This should be on Friday the 30th. While you do not need to have this RP finished at the time of the close, please try to close this RP promptly! You must write 500 words in this RP to be eligible for the prize!

The room was smaller than the main storage room, but still pretty ******** big. Looks around at the boxes of various sizes, she felt a certain sense of homecoming. A weird ******** storage room full of magic and s**t going wrong in the periphery, the setting of dozens upon dozens of missions.

One arm still wrapped firmly around the corrupt senshi, Grieve glanced back to make sure the cunty zombie senshi wasn't following behind to ruin the fun this time. And...the coast was clear.

"Right! We all know the drill with these little shits. Follow the sound, find the cluster." Tilting her toward the senshi she kidnapped recently acquired through legal means. "Spangles here has magic that'll keep things in a circle, decent radius, bout eight to twelve feet." It'd been hard to get a clear read in the small building where she'd first experienced it.

Corrupt Basic Mirabilite of Supplication
Dice: 4
Action: Getting some dice rolling,

"Spangles?" feigning maximum affrontage while splaying long, magically manicured gel nails over her non-existent chest; highlighting the edges of the gaping, chaos-crack filled took up a good chunk of her uniforms cleavage. "Spangles---Oh, so you and the marauders-three get, what I'm sure, are badass names fit for the stars, but I get dubbed Spangles?!" her gaze accusatory as the tilt of her hips, the way she dug her free hand into the lace-slathered-bone of it, throwing a pose with more attitude than she could ever have hoped to back. Especially not while still encased in the arms of her 'captor' -- not that she was fighting being held very hard....

"So I'm useful enough for you to 'steal', but then you D'Artagnan me in the same breath? I'm sorry, bear, fish, and techno-pop-wish, but this is main character dressage I'm decked out in. Not--beach-episode, side-b***h attire." the rant her mouth wanted to run on with, as Greive *dared* to try and explain *her* magic to other people!!

Alllovthat--cut short on a fresh gasp, a shudder that led to her clinging to the blue-haired banana she'd just begun damning the name of--- Because the tile ******** *shifted* under her cinderella-wished-she-had-these-heels, ther e was a far too distinct to miss it scritch and skuttle of <********> A very distinctive bug-ish sound, that left Mirabilite swallowing the words that could've been her name.

DSS Super Róka
Die Roll: 4
Action:

"Might call you dead meat or bait, if you'd be preferring those," Róka said, with the sort of even keel that could've meant it was a genuine question or a friendly, well-meant suggestion. (It wasn't.) (They might've said Or hostage, if we'd break your fingers first, but they'd still made that agreement-pact with Faustite; the Negaverse had resources Róka did not, and not having those resources turned towards them -- so long as they didn't much go out of their way to harm officers -- was preferable. Especially preferable, coming from a man on fire, given they might've agreed to just about any proposed terms just to get him to not be there in their vicinity, burning bright.)

They didn't even bother to look much at Mirabilite, getting on one knee, eyes cast towards the ground, one hand on the tiles. "...Multiple under here."

Sometimes they really, truly missed having a weapon to break things with. This was one of those times.

Super Sailor Madriu
Roll: 1 - they're in the vents
Action: Examining air vent, reporting unpleasant discovery

Madriu's ears flicked towards Mirabilite, giving her the most bored look he could manage. By his assessment, she'd given up any right to names or titles that weren't insulting when she threw in with Chaos and betrayed whatever world she served--honestly, the thought that a Senshi could fall like that made him shudder.

"You'll earn the right to complain about nicknames when you prove your use," he said, flatly, and then, with all the contempt he could manage, turned his back--because she wasn't worth the respect of fearing her retaliation--and strode over to the nearest vent. He swore he heard echoey skittering, and when he rolled onto his toes to confirm, he grimaced.

"Bugs in the vents, too," he said. "Grieve, might need you to help me clear these little shits out." Since Roka absolutely couldn't reach and needed to help handle the floor besides. "Anything interesting in the boxes?"

Corrupt Basic Mirabilite of Supplication
Dice:
Action: A prissy little mouthpiece, maybe she'll look at a box if someone asks her *nicely*.

'Prove my use, oh please---'

She didn't roll her eyes, she wouldn't. It wasn't worth it to try! And yet her mouth still ran, quieter than before, yes, but not at all yet willing to stop snapping her tiny, useless teeth.

It’s Mirabilite!” murmured huffily in response as she squirmed in Grieves grasp, and she would’ve honestly preferred her actual stars-given name on any level, but considering the current circumstances? “But I’ll settle for variations that don’t make it sound like you’ll leave my corpse and run the second things get ugly—“ her words tapering off into a softer hiss when the as of yet nameless fishmonger-looking Senshi examined the floor.

There was the barest bit of relief, that she wasn't simply being paranoid; hearing s**t that wasn't there, feeling it *still* beneath her delicate heels. That for all the lack of visible bugs in the room -- it wasn't completely devoid of them -- the ******** were simply hiding, biding their time. Mirabilite wasn't sure if the confirmation of that knowledge was better, or worse?

Watching now, with an intensity, the floor. As though it might choose to heave upwards and crawl out from under them. Or worse. Because there could always be worse. Like bugs in the vents levels of worse, apparently. She watched the dog with a bone disregard her utterly, followed the long back and swath of black (Mane? Mange? Does it even count as hair---) to where vent was mounted into the wall.

At least they were technically *sealed* behind things, if only temporarily.

Sailor Grieve of the Collapse
Roll: 1
Currently: chit chatting oh look a singular tiny kosopod

Grieve just grinned as the corrupted senshi first talked a lot of human nonsense that may or may not be intelligible to other humans, and then suddenly began clinging onto her. Oh, she was such a good little damsel, now wasn't she? Stay with me, ********. Roka clearly ********' sucked with damsels unless they were trying to scam one, which was why Grieve got to hug them and they got to stab things with knives. Or mean words, in this case.

"Probably a ******** of valuables," Grieve drawled to Madriu. "Everything about this place says Hey I got So Much Expensive s**t Here. He seems like he's older, maybe like us or..." she waved her free hand lazily, "...like some other powers." There was always some a*****e out there, bigger and more powerful, but only existing as shadows and whisper to the point that they as well not exist for all the impact they had. Or maybe they were just too big, so the small ******** like them couldn't see what was right in front of their eyes. "Maybe this place was like this 'round our time too, or maybe it's all scavenged from dead worlds."

She paused, considering all the dead, empty worlds in space now. usually a source of sorrow, but now...

"We should get a Mau or two of our own. We need a ********' ship." Those dead empty worlds probably had dead security systems now, right?

"Mirabilite?" Now that was a familiar name for an unfamiliar face. She loosed her grip on the other's waist to get a better look, only to sigh. "You were once so ridiculously ******** beautiful. Monstrously gorgeous." Now she was only a mere really ******** lovely.

What a loss.

The moment was shaken up as the room trembled and clearly something big was happening in the main room. The violent motion was enough to shift tiles and vents, and more than enough to excite the kosopods out of their hiding. A very tiny one scurried out of the floor and approached the tip of Mirabilite's perfectly pointed shoe.

Near the room's entrance, something suddenly fell with a loud bang. Grieve turned in time to see a kosopod floating in and then abruptly dropping down. "Hey, someone's ******** up the gravity out there."
