Drako is shown walking backstage when he's intercepted by Michael Cole.

Cole: Drako, welcome back and I guess welcome to Canada, home of Money in the Bank here tonight. If you don't mind, I'd like a moment of your time.

Drako graciously stops. "Sure, Cole, I got a few minutes before I have to go get ready for my match. Whatcha got?"

Cole: You came back at Wrestlemania and announced that you had your eye no Avari and the world heavyweight championship. Since then you've overcome the challenge of both Luca and Bad Boy. Is tonight's entry into the Money in the Bank ladder match the next step in your plan to regain the world title?

Drako smirks. "Obviously. Look, there's a line of guys thinking they've got a shot now that Avari is the champion. I think it's Omen here tonight. And let's be fair. They have a shot. Maybe Avari doesn't have it in him to stack up a run like mine. Kid's young. Tonight is another test for him. But I didn't get where I am by not taking opportunities when they're laid out in front of me. This is the next logical step in regaining what I lost."

Cole: Earlier tonight we heard some strong words from your opponent last show and longtime rival. Bad Boy made it clear that he's coming for you specifically, aiming to take you out. Any thoughts on knowing that you're being so blatantly targeted?

Drako shrugs. "I was world champion well over a year and only lost it because I went into the match injured, an injury, by the way, I aggravated in the match that Bad Boy returned in. Michael Cole, I've been a target since Cartwright reopened the doors here. Starting with Cartwright, then every person in that locker room hoping to make a name for themselves. Now Bad Boy is frustrated that I got a few wins over him. Oh, like I was some years back when I came back trying to get the Intercontinental title? Turnabout is fair play, Brad ol' boy. And frankly, walking into this match, I expect to be targeted by everyone. Think about it, Cole, I'm a two time World Heavyweight champion here and both runs were over a year long. I spent more time as champion than half these folks have ring time. I'm the obvious target. But here's what I need them all to remember. I'm rested. I'm healthy. I'm flying high and living up to my name. The Soaring Dragon is soaring right to the Bank, and whoever comes out as World champion tonight is at the top of my list. They won't know when, they won't know where, but I'm taking back MY World Heavyweight championship. Bet on that, Michael Cole."
