Name: Shānlóng Jiàn 山龙諫

Nickname:

Gender/Pronoun: He/Him

Age: Looks physically around 25-28 though some say he's younger because of his face.

Birthday: Late summer (August 15th) of 976 AD (he thinks according to what he's figured out from things)

Sign: Leo

Gemstone: Peridot

Blood Type: AB+

Fav. Food: Seafood

Hated Food: Sweets

School/Occupation: Works at an animal themed bar/restaraunt as a bartender and sometimes server

Hobbies: What does your character do outside of school/work during their civilian life? This should be an activity that they do on a regular basis, and should be something they could reasonably do in the setting and within their financial means. At least two hobbies are required, but up to five are welcome. Each hobby should be described with at least two sentences. Hobbies should be something that can encourage roleplay or be used to inspire roleplay, however players are allowed to have solitary hobbies as well.

Board Games: After passing a library, he noticed people playing some sort of game, one of which was an economy-based one about trade and gathering goods. After that, he was hooked and would journey to the library for the monthly event to play all sorts of different games with both returning and new people. At some point, he wants to buy a few and see about having friends over but the library is nice because the constantly changing flow of people bring all sorts of new things to talk about during his job.

Shopping: Whether it was back on his homeworld or here on this planet, Shānlóng loves shopping and finding good deals. Reading through magazines while at work or looking for signs in store windows, he spends a lot of his time out and about looking for things to decorate his place and himself with. Any time a customer walks in with something he's interested in he often asks where they got it and then makes a note to go and take a look when he can. He will never shy away from a bargain either and loves haggling when he can.

Virtues: These are positive aspects about your character's personality that affect them on a daily basis, and are things your character could be praised and admired for. These traits shouldn’t be too specific or only manifest in specific situations (such as ‘likes animals’), shouldn’t be overpowered (such as ‘Perfect’), and shouldn’t be based on their physical appearance (such as ‘pretty’). Virtues are things that are directly related to how your character behaves. Traits should be balanced, so all profiles need an equal number of Virtues and Flaws and should not contradict each other.

Careful: Shānlóng was always someone who was careful and observant, always asking questions and making sure things were going well or at least not terribly. He also makes sure he does enough research on new things or asks the opinions of others while taking a grain of salt if they are new people. It has saved not only his skin but has kept his coworkers from getting roughed up by rowdy customers.

Sociable: While one of few words, Shānlóng loves being around people. He enjoys hearing conversations and dosing out bits of advice or comments here and there. Hanging around places with lots of people while out and about, he tries to find his way into parties or events. Because of how he is, he tends to be seen as someone to invite over for chiller gatherings or any time there are mixed drinks.

Flaws: These are negative aspects about your character's personality that affect them on a daily basis, and are things your character could be disliked or criticized. These traits shouldn’t be too specific or only manifest in specific situations (such as ‘hates kids’), shouldn’t be based on fears (such as ‘afraid of the dark’), and shouldn’t be based on anything that manifests physically (such as ‘clumsy’). Phobias and illnesses (physical or mental) are not viable flaws. Flaws are things that are directly related to how your character behaves. Traits should be balanced, so all profiles need an equal number of Virtues and Flaws and should not contradict each other.

Vain: So much time is spent before mirrors, soaking up compliments, or finding new fashion or streetwear trends that fit his appearance. A bad hair day or cold sore from illness would leave him in an even worse mood and not the best to be around as he grumbles or tries to mitigate things to fix his appearance.

Aimless: After everything, Shānlóng is lost on how to proceed and what to do. Even after coming to Earth he still has a hard time and goes between all manner of things trying to figure out what he's settling for. It's gotten him into trouble while trying to fit in among the humans and he finds himself struggling while looking to find what step to take next.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Hair and eye colors cannot change from civilian to powered form, nor can tattoos or piercings. If your character has a tattoo as a civilian it will appear on the powered art, though will have a glamour to prevent people who have seen both from identifying civilian identities. Hairstyles can change between civilian and powered form; only Corrupted Senshi have vastly different hair between civilian and powered forms (their hair grows extensively in length!) Unnatural hair and eye color are perfectly fine, and there is no need to say they use hair dye or wear contacts - your character is free to have been born with blue hair if you want. Genetic heterochromia is allowed, but please consider that this is still considered an oddity in our game environment; you are free to play with it but we encourage players to be considerate of this fact! If your character is intended to have different colored eyes due to injury, please make sure you have done adequate research and include relevant information when you post a quest, or PM the shop mule, The Space Cauldron, for help! Because civilian art isn’t required for play, this part of the form will be helpful in making sure others know how your character appears if you don’t yet have art for them.

Eyes: Color, shape.

Hair: Color, style, accessories. You can post references or style words!

Face: Shape, features -- Does your character have a round or oval or heart-shaped face, freckles, big ears or not; this is just to describe their face!

Skin Tone: If possible, a hex code may be helpful for the artist’s purposes, here!

Body Type: Are they tall, short, muscular, curvy, lithe, etc.?

Clothes: If you are getting student art, your character will be drawn in the school uniform. If you are getting a civilian outfit, this will discuss the general style of your character! This doesn’t have to be the only type of outfit your character wears, but filling out this part of the form can be helpful for others to imagine what your character looks like.

Attacks: These are your senshi's abilities and should correspond to your senshi's sphere. Senshi unlock a new magical ability to use in battle as they rank up ICly! Chibi Senshi should have weaker versions of the standard magic, or should have magic that backfires. Corrupted Senshi are allowed to have ‘darker’ magic. ‘Late Blooming Senshi’ ages 21-27 should have magic written the same as other standard Senshi but should have IC effects or erratic magic. More information can be found in the tips below! Senshi magic should be written to have a duration, a range, and number of uses. Senshi magic should be written to have a base ability, however players can include optional effects, such as more powerful or lasting damage, that their RP partner can choose to be affected by! Senshi magic can be a buff or debuff, can be offensive, defensive, or create illusions. Senshi magic should typically only be one type of magic; it should not be a buff, and be offensive and defensive, for example.

Sailor Scout Attack: Ephermeral Elation
Chang'E claps his hands as if to start a dance, starting his magic. Everyone in the area sees and hears the sounds of excitement and sees some illusions of various colors and patterns, finding themselves elated to the point that everything else fades away. All allies within range could find that in their elation, they are filled with optimism for the future and get a sudden second wind. For the duration of the magic, they will feel refreshed. They will be oblivious to damage/will not feel injuries (though they can still take damage and do not heal), allowing them to focus on their task. The effects fade when the magic fades.
Range: 10 feet
Time: 20 seconds
Uses: 3 Per battle

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Longing Elation
Chang'E claps his hands as if to start a dance, starting his magic. Everyone in the area sees and hears voices of excitement and music, colorful patterns swirling and expanding, finding themselves elated to the point that everything else fades away.

Range: 15 feet
Time: 35 seconds
Uses: 2 Per battle

Eternal Sailor Attack: Eternal Elation
Chang'E claps his hands as if to start a dance, starting his magic. Everyone in the area sees and hears a fantastical mess of illusion and finds themselves elated to the point that everything else fades away. Stuck in their own worlds momentarily they feel as if the thoughts in their head can have no downside and that all is right in the world. The problems come when the magic starts to wind down (the last 10 seconds), leaving enemies effected with an empty feeling left behind once their elation fades. Allies will be unaffected and have no repercussions. How deeply the whiplash effects a character is up to the player, there can be no whiplash if a player chooses as well.

Range: 25 feet
Time: 45 seconds
Uses: 1 Per battle

Deep Space Senshi: (Please delete this and the below section if you are not questing for a Deep Space Senshi. When creating a Deep Space Senshi, some information on the civilian form will be different, such as age; please include what age they appear as well as their actual age. Their birthday can be the date they arrive on Earth or any other day they choose. Their blood type should be any human blood type but should always be compatible with humans.)

Physical Features:
Snake like eyes, small dulled fangs, and small patches of snake-like scales along their sides.

Backstory/History: Chang'E was a hub, a place where people across the galaxy would come to trade and gather for festivals to ring in each season of harvest or holiday. Over the years as visitors from far and wide came to the planet, the culture and type of festivals changed as people would choose to stay behind and make their homes or open up new shops to expand the bazaars.

As the senshi, it was Shānlóng's duty to travel and invite important visitors and merchants from all over while negotiating trade options with various planets. It was a duty he'd been learning about since he was young and one that he enjoyed. Always acting as an example of a trustworthy and kind envoy, he helped set new things in motion to allow for other goods to pour into the market.

The problems came as the new influx of goods outweighed his ability to scrutinize things with the rest of the merchants to make sure no harmful substances or invasive species were making their way in. Unfortunately, that meant that things like currency weren't looked over, something as simple as a metal coin would prove to be the downfall of the homeworld he'd worked hard on.

It started with one coin, seemingly moving from the pile of its own will. It called to people and as the new and foreign currency spread throughout the markets, things started to change. Fighting began, hoarding began, and people were trading resources for these metal coins. Once enough of them made their way into the homes of the people of the city, the truth of the coins became clear. Getting up, each coin had been infused with chaos. They fed off the people slowly, weakening them while pushing the thought through that only the coins mattered. People were starving, not willing to spend the coins on food to eat or keep themselves alive. The more energy each coin drained, the more chaos it could manifest, allowing it to also create legs to scurry around and look for new targets to drain and leave behind those that have been tapped out of energy.

Shānlóng found himself stuck, unable to reach out to any of the worlds that had benefitted from the open borders and trade deals that had been written. Try as he might he couldn't get the masses to cast the coins aside, even the government and council that had supported him before cast him out because he was a threat to the shining metal they were amassing. The coins couldn't get to him, couldn't convince him to take them to his home and so they wanted him out.

Wandering across the planet, he watched as the people started to die all while clutching those coins in a death grip. Once the cities fell, the rural outskirts who had been unaffected moved in to take advantage of the luxuries they hadn't had before. It was a cycle as more and more of the remaining people moved in and took over only to fall to the same fate. It was a cycle that only he saw, generation after generation until the last person had died. There had been food for a while until the soil itself seemed to give up as well but after the last person fell Shānlóng found himself struggling as he wandered every corner he could reach. He was alive, which almost felt like a curse because of what he had to see, but he couldn't get it out of his head that maybe he could have done something. That he still wanted to do something because it couldn't end like this.

So when a pull broke from another world through the chaos that had suffocated his world, the first feeling of the outside at all, he followed it to try and find a way to fix things.
