In nature, rats can have 4-14 babires, and Empress Mocha has BEEN THERE, so part of Sanctuary's magic keeps rats alive, but also allows rats to have sensibly sized litters.
ALL rat owners can breed their rats, active or not. If you aren't here participating, however, you will cap at 4 pups.
Participating in the thread and being social is another pup p[ossible, for a cap of 5.
If you're here actively and even RP, then you cap at 6 pups possible. That's before Bandit's Bounty! Neat!
If you go to Bandit's Bounty and pay a tiny bit of money, there's modifiers. There's Mocha's Magic Pixie Powder, which lets a single rat magically become pregnant with pups wqith MAGIC! Perfect for singles or ace rats wanting a family but nothing.... ... That belongs OFF GAIA. (Please don't RP rats doing anything ick on Gaia. No. Absolutely not.)
You can also give trhe parent or parents a dandelion or unsalted pepitas in order to boost their litter by one with those extra nutrientsd!... Parent is already scarfing protein, okay.
In Oh! Rats! We do not believe breeding should be only straight. ALL genders or non-genders may breed in our shop, from a male/male pairing to two enbys. Love is good, love is great. And romance should be between two consenting adults, although babies can have crushes!
After the babiers arrive, you may keep ONE pup, per litter. If you own a parent and Dandelion or Pepita in, that's your ONE baby, you can't item in and keep. You CAN allow another person to item in, as long as items per breeding remain at 1 per parent.
IRat pups may be FREELY gffiven away, FREELY raffledor RP Contested off. You may also PM the colorist to ask if the shop can auction the baby for you. In this case a certist, or the colorist will set the auction up and a staff member will run it for 3 days maximum. They are then required to split the profit 50/50 with the owners.
