Cybele could not really help much with the Code, but she could try to keep an even sharper eye on the city than usual. Hopefully, it would buy them some time to do what they needed to do.

The city was quieter than it was sometimes. She did find a rather disturbing youma with the body of a centipede and the head of a hyena, but it was quick to dust. That was the only thing of interest for a long time, though, although Cybele stayed out anyway, trying to be responsible,

Perhaps she looked a bit to happy to finally see another person when she finally crossed paths with another senshi.

"Good evening," she said, tamping the smile down to something more polite. "I hope you haven't gotten into too much trouble."

She couldn't help the way her eyebrows rose when she looked the other senshi over. Was that a tail?

Deception was an interesting sphere, Cybele would admit, but it was hardly the kind of thing that she was going to hold against someone. Alastor's sphere was despair, she was fairly certain, and he was one of the kindest people she knew.

"Cybele," she introduced, with a curtsy since she was feeling a bit dramatic. "Of the Hunt."

It was probably rude to stare at the tail, so instead she said, "I'm all right, yes. It's been quiet tonight." She glanced at the streets around them. "Although, when that happens, it almost makes me feel like it's too quiet. It always makes me feel if the Negaverse is doing something under the surface."

It didn't help that something was happening with the knights. That had her nerves up.

"How long have you been in the city?" she asked, wondering if this woman knew about the Negaverse.

"Christmas," said Cybele, easily. The seasonal changes and holidays had been something that she had latched onto after she'd purified, something could help her mark time and also make her feel like she was a bit more human.

"I don't like the cold, either. My clothes aren't made for it." With one hand, she lifted the airy fabric of her skirt and then dropped it again. "But, yes, luckily we're getting into the warmer weather now."

Kemi's question was an interesting one, and Cybele went silent for a moment considering it.

In the end, though, she decided to be honest.

"I've lived here all my life," she said, and then gave a slight shrug. "But I only remember about two, three years of it."

It got blurry when she tried to consider her Negaverse memories, but she could count the amount of times that she'd seen each season on one hand.

"No," she said. "I'm twenty-eight."

She understood the confusion, though. Someone from another world, even one with another flavor of Chaos on it, would probably not be used to something like corruption, or the consequences of it.

"It wasn't an accident," she told her. "I was corrupted. I had Chaos pushed into my starseed. Lost everything. My memories. My will. It was a miserable existence."

She glanced down to the glowing mark on her chest, both a memory of what had been as well as a promise that it would never happen again.

"My friends were able to free me eventually, but purifying my starseed also had some lasting effects."

It wasn't something she talked about as often anymore, but there it was.

Cybele was silent for a moment, her gaze somewhere in the distance, but eventually she said, "Yes."

She glanced skyward. "I'm not much of a space traveler. I've been to my asteroid, and Earth. That's about all, but from what I understand, the Chaos is particularly powerful here."

There was something about that being the reason that Cosmos had sent so many of their starseeds to reincarnate here, but Cybele wasn't about to pretend she understood that kind of thing.

Her gaze was still even. She was used to it, resigned to it, the same way that she was resigned to her own past.

"I won't tell you not to worry," she said, "But I'll do what I can to protect you, all right?"

And she'd do what she could to pull her back from the influence of Chaos, if it came to that.

"All Chaos is awful," said Cybele. Yes, she had too few memories, and she'd gone through the ordeal of corruption, and she even had the experience of losing some of her power, when she'd purified. She didn't know if she'd trade that experience for that of one of these senshi from the foreign worlds, with their too-long lives, who had watched Chaos destroy everything except them.

Kemi's world was frozen, now. That must have been a miserable existence.

"And it would be an honor to destroy Chaos anywhere I can. Of course I'll do what I can to help with your world, Kemi."

She smiled, in a distant sort of way.

"But for now you can try to recover. Your power will come back to you in time. I've seen it happen to others like you."

"Well, I'd be happy to become your ally," said Cybele, retrieving her phone with a flick of the wrist.


While she didn't have Chaos on the world of Cybele the way that there was Chaos on some other senshi's worlds, gathering allies was one of her goals, as well. Earth was precious, and her home, and they needed to work together to protect this place, as well.

With that thought,she pulled her phone from subspace with a flick of her wrist.

She pressed a few buttons. "Let's see," she murmured. She'd used to get confused by the menus, but she was getting better at it.

"Looks like you're registered."

"It's a pleasure, being your ally," said Cybele, and she didn't have to try in order to smile. Making sure that nobody on the side of Order felt isolated or like they would have to fight on their own was something that she was always working against.

It seemed even more important for someone like Kemi, who was from another world and who might not know that many people around here yet.

"Hopefully I'll be able to see you soon, Kemi."

For the moment, she was going to keep on more with her patrol. With the knights affected the way they were, she was going to have to cover as much ground as she could on her own.

With a wave, she turned to continue down the way.
