Okay well, living in a human house was ******** weird. There were some things that were just... staples, it seemed, of any civilized peoples, but the majority of it was just strange and new.
Okay, maybe some of that was what they called a 'kitchen', holding food that wasn't always ready to eat. How was he supposed to know that? He'd been brought food his entire life, and now some food was off limits until it was cooked? He didn't know how to cook.. he'd never even considered that the food that arrived to him on broad platters started out as something else, until Hati had explained why he couldn't eat the raw bacon he'd struggled for twenty minutes to get open. Bah. What was the point of food you had to do stuff to before you could eat it?
And the so-called 'bath' room. A bath was not something you had to fill every time you wanted to use it... though the 'shower' had been actually rather delightful. Getting pelted by the falling droplets had been like standing in the warmest rain you could imagine.
Cernunnos mused over these things as he wandered his old haunt in the park, feeling slightly more at ease here in the winter-dead greenery than he did back in that strange place his new partners called a house. Here, at least, he was more or less alone. He could just be, without worrying if he was doing something wrong by Earth standards. Of course Hati and Asmodeus were too kind to scold him about anything, but he still felt the string of failure when he did something that didn't quite fit.

Now that he had a bit more understanding of how this thing called GPS worked, Procyon started to explore a bit more to try and visit places that had water. Illyria had mentioned a reservoir but he'd seen that some of the parks had fountains which seemed interesting. Wandering around, he really didn't like this cold weather. It was so different than back home, so much drier that it made his skin hurt wherever the cold wind hit him. The lined poncho he made helped a bit but he knew he'd have to get something warmer if it snowed again. Tapping at his phone, he saw that the park was coming up on his left and given the time it should be empty. It was easier to wander at night since the sun felt too strong here too. It was a mess but he loved all the differences too. Entering the park, he saw someone else wandering so he pulled the hood up to cover his ears before waving. "Oh Hello?"

The small boy jumped as he heard a voice, whirling about to find the source. He hadn't been paying enough attention, again, and he cursed himself for it. Some day, someone not-nice was going to get the jump on him and he was not going to be happy about it.
"Oh! Hey! Don't sneak up on a guy like that..." He said as he straightened his gloves, his soft ears pressed back into his white curls. Taking a moment, he tried to stretch out those inner senses he'd learned about, struggling to separate the things he was feeling from his own thoughts and emotions. Everything was such a jumble... was that warmth his own embarrassment, or the stranger? At least he wasn't feeling the creeping feeling he'd had when he'd met that corrupt... so this person was probably not infected with the chaos disease. Hopefully anyway.
"What are you doing out here? I thought was going to have the area to myself."

Their jumping made Procyon jump, just a bit startled by their sudden movement. Taking some time to move closer, slowly, he pulled his hood back down after noticing they looked a bit odd just like he did. "Sorry, didn't mean to. I didn't really expect anyone to be out this late, I wanted to look at the fountain." Tilting his head towards the thing, his ears flopped slightly in that direction as well as he pointed towards the thing. It didn't look like the picture he'd seen and he wondered if maybe it had run out of water. "I can leave if you want and ah! My name is Procyon, you're from somewhere else too right?" Was that rude to ask? He'd been used to seeing a lot of others from other places, in fact, it was the norm for him. At this point, he really only had met Miss Ida who was from this planet though he hadn't really asked that one chaos girl whom he'd scared away from the penguins if they were from here. Looking a bit more at them, they definitely looked soft and it reminded him of Illyria and Selinur as well. Something being soft and warm still felt odd to him, everything below the waves back home was squishy and wet. It was something he really liked about this world or well it seemed like almost every other world outside his own.

Cernunnos couldn't help flicking his gaze to the things that fell out of the other's hood. Were those ears? Definitely not normal ears... if you counted his own ears and the ears of the humans as normal. Which meant this was probably yet another new species of person from yet another world. He hadn't realized Earth had become such a hub for the cosmos... last he'd heard (and granted, that was a very long time ago) it had mostly been humans here.
"I'm definitely not from here." He quipped as he ran his fingers back through his hair to settle himself. He shrugged then, side-eyeing the thing the guy had called a fountain. "I don't care if you stay, I guess. Now that you're here."
Turning away, he jumped up onto the rim of the fountain and paced around it, balancing naturally.
"I'm Cernunnos, by the way." He called back. "Dunno why you wanna see this thing though... doesn't look very interesting. Is it supposed to have something in it?"

Procyon noticed them looking at him and brushed his real hand over his ears, tilting his head again the other way as he watched them balancing and walking around the rim of the fountain. "Oh, okay that works then. Maybe it needs to be watched to do something. Or... maybe it's because it's dark or something." Stepping forward, he looked at the fountain and saw dried leaves in it. "Ah, Cernunnos, I can remember that." It didn't sound familiar to him, not like Stribor had but it was nice meeting more people from other worlds. It made him feel better about the overall situation for everyone because each additional person meant more people to help. "It's supposed to have water in it, this planet is far too dry for me. I was hoping to see it running and maybe spend time near it. I don't think the others in my home would like me spending all my time there in the bathroom with the water running. Humans say it's expensive though I don't quite get what that means yet." It felt like it meant that they had to ration the water since there wasn't as much of it here compared to back home. Reaching into the fountain, he poked at what looked like some sort of hole and it didn't feel bone dry but it might be where the water drained out when it wasn't being used. "I wish there was more water here..." Looking back up at the other senshi he wondered for a bit what their home was like. "Do you like it here? On this planet?"

The pale boy watched as the other approached and poked about at the 'fountain', curious what it was he thought he was going to accomplish. Supposed to have water in it? Ah... maybe it was like the fountains back on his planet, but just differently shaped. That, at least, made some sense. No idea why it was dry though.
"Maybe its supposed to be that way? Though I dunno why you'd want one that doesn't have water." He said as he crouched down and peered into it in his turn. Which, honestly, was kind of stupid, he realized. Damn social instincts. Not like his looking about was going to magically fill it. "Or maybe its broken. Unfortunate you don't get to see it full of water."
He'd just have to come back when it was fixed or whatever. A soft ear twitched and Cernunnos shrugged.
"I don't know. Its fine, I guess. Better than being stuck alone. But its not the same. Everything is so weird and different and overwhelming. And I don't know anyone. I don't like that part." He toyed with the gloves over his hands, picking at the seams. "Some people are nice, but its hard to know who you can trust. And you have to trust someone, because you have no idea how anything works or how to feed yourself here. Then there is that pesky war they've got going on, which your automatically a part of just because you're a senshi."
He grimaced and shrugged again.
"Sometimes its better than being alone."

Puffing his cheeks up as he pouted, he pulled out his phone to show them an image of the thing during the day time. "See, it's supposed to have water in it. Maybe they turn it off at night so nobody gets hurt?" But how did someone turn off water? That's something he wasn't sure of exactly since he didn't see any knob or faucet thing like where he was staying had. "Maybe I have to come out during the day when all the humans are around...." Scrunching his face up as he thought about it, he knew he had that glamor disguise that Illyria had crafted for him but he knew during the day it would be frowned upon if he wanted to dunk his legs into the water. "True, there are so many people here it is hard to be alone but it's also hard figuring out who is good or not." Just like the rude chaos woman who had wanted to punt the penguins. "Miss Illyria and Miss Ida are really nice so far and I have met some other senshi from out there that have made their way here too. Maybe... you might find someone you used to know here? Apparently, there are a lot of us from what I have figured out?" He'd honestly met more alien senshi than humans at this point which felt odd given that they were all strangers on the planet. "Well, I would like to be your friend? Maybe I can help figure things out? I'm not really a fighter but that war thing they have going on has been tough. I haven't had too much time with it but I have seen some of the things happening because of it. I'd be up for helping when I can though if you need it since I've been pretty good at figuring things out."

That sort of made sense and was probably as good of an explanation for what was going on as anything else. One of the phone things was offered his way and Cernunnos eyed it, noting the very obvious fountain with very obvious water in it. Well, nothing they could really do about it now. Procyon would have to figure out some other way of getting his water fix.
Interesting, the suggestion that he might find someone he knew. It gave him weird sort of flutters of homesickness. So far, the only people from other planets seemed to be senshi. If only senshi made it here, then the chances of him truly seeing someone he knew as very low... depressingly so. The thought threatened to pull him down under a black tide and he had to fight it, distracting himself with something, anything, else than those thoughts.
He grinned boyishly when Procyon suggested being his friend, letting the conversation shift to something easier to handle. Reaching out, he gently tweaked the other senshi's... ear thing and let his own head tilt in a playful way.
"My friend, huh? I guess I could be okay with that. It could be fun." At least spending time with the other senshi would be something to do, something to keep him occupied. A way to get away from all the Earth people, even if he couldn't go home. "I can figure things out pretty well on my own, but I don't suppose the help would hurt anything, hmm?"
Procyon seemed on the innocent side of things, but maybe that wasn't such a bad thing. A different perspective and all that.

Jumping slightly when Cernunnos reached up and grabbed one of his rhinophores, he squeaked. "That's not for grabbing." Trying to pout slightly, he nodded and gently got their hand off of him. "I try to look around when I can. There's always so much here that I've never seen, and some people are great to talk to!" Nodding slightly as he rubbed at his hair to try and fix it from where he'd messed it up jumping. "I can definitely help you learn more about Earth! We could always meet around the fountains! But if you get a phone, I can add you there too, and you can always get a hold of me that way. Miss Illyria set it up for me when I got here, and it's been really useful once I got used to it."

He couldn't help a self-indulgent grin at the way the other pouted, looking adorably ruffled by the physical teasing. It made him want to tug on them again, just to see if he could get Procyon to yell at him.
"I guess I'll have to talk to Hati and Asmo, and see if they can get me a phone then." He said with his little half smile, filing that away in the back of his mind for a later sort of time.
"In the mean time, why don't we plan to meet back up here in a few nights? Maybe I'll have a phone then, and we can exchange information. Or just talk, like you said. I wouldn't mind that, I think. You can teach me what you know about Earth and maybe it won't all feel so strange and alien any more."
Unlikely, but hey, it was worth a try, right?
"I gotta head home though. It's gotten late, and Asmo will worry if I'm not home soon. Then she might come looking for me." He shuddered a little, just to himself. "I definitely don't want her to get mad because I made her worry. I'll see you in a few nights, yeah? At this spot, around this same time?"
Cernunnos touched his fingers to his forehead as he rose, flicking his fingers outwards in his people's traditional fare-well.
"Don't forget, Procyon! I'm gonna hold you to that." The pale boy said as he grinned and turned to dash off, feeling just a little bit better about his situation. Things were still grim and uncomfortable, but the little things sure did make it all a little bit easier to handle.
