Quote: The Tickets (1): Entrance to the Crystal Hearts Gallery is $50 per person, or $75 per couple however there have been a surprising number of businesses, big and small, offering free tickets. These can be won through raffles, games, loyalty programs, promotions, or just by being in the right place at the right time. Even if you hadn’t planned on going, can you really turn down a free trip like this? Access to an exclusive venue, a scenic trip through a crystal garden, an art gallery, and a free buffet? Not to mention the advertised lottery program, where just showing up grants you a ticket to win a souvenir. Plus, vendors–just in case you wanted something a little extra special for Valentine’s Day? The Crystal Heart Gallery claims to be for a good cause–all proceeds are going towards Destiny City charities. The event is open from 10AM to 10PM so there’s plenty of time in the day to visit.

Thea was definitely not planning on letting some silly event interrupt her training. But her father well - he insisted. By insisting he told her she wasn't allowed to enter the gym until she gave the event a chance. With much protest she was here staring at an array of pink, red, and bright decorations.
She quickly looked around and noticed a sign that said free entry this way. Not to mention it said free food, which was the main thing she noticed on the sign other than the free part.
As she walked over she looked around the booth and tried to figure out exactly what she needed to do in order to gain free entry. It looked like some type of game. She noticed pins and people throwing what looked like softballs at them. It reminded her of the circus games her dad tried when she was little to win her a stuffed animal.
She heard someone say, "You have to just knock um down". Hearing this she stepped forward eager to give it a try
"Hello? How can I try?" she asked kindly not really sure who was in charge of this thing.

Cici was wearing another lovely dress for this event and she was excited about going to another Valentine's day event. She was in love with the red, pink pretty decorations she didn't think any of it was too over the top. She paid her 50 dollar entry and she went in. She didn't need to play silly games to get in she had the money to do whatever she wanted. She also would be able to tell who was lesser coming in for free. She giggled to herself thinking about it. She had already looked at the crystal garden, next for her was the art gallery. Then perhaps the buffet.

Thea grabbed the three balls she was offered and aimed the first ball at the target. The first throw she missed horribly. To improve her aim and throwing technique, Thea focused on a few key steps. First, she stood with her feet shoulder-width apart and aligned her body towards the target. Then, she brought the ball close to her dominant hand, keeping her elbow at a 90-degree angle. Finally, she aimed for the target, extending her arm forward, and released the ball in a smooth, fluid motion. To her surprise she hit it dead on!
She was so glad her dad had taught her how to throw. Even if baseball was not her thing. She had definitely learned a lot, some of it she still uses in her boxing today. The techniques Thea learned in baseball, such as proper body alignment, fluid motion, and aiming for a target, can also be applied to her boxing skills. Whether it's throwing punches or delivering powerful jabs, the fundamental principles of balance, form, and accuracy remain crucial for success in both sports.
With a smile she handed back the final ball and received a ticket instead. "Thank you!" she said with a bright smile as she headed into Crystal Hearts Gallery.
She quickly entered, looked around, and wasn't sure where she should head first. That was when she saw a sign for the gallery and decided to head that way instead. She was a little curious about what artists were on display. Well that and she wasn't quite hungry enough to enjoy all the buffet had to offer.

She started looking at the art and she yawned this was kinda boring but she was expected to like this sort of stuff and she was expected to show up to a number of things. She really didn't care about most of it. She wasn't a deep soul. She liked what she liked and she liked getting her way. It was that simple. She looked at the painting of the city sparkling with stars it looked pretty basic and dull to her. She liked closing her eyes and listening to music and letting that tell her a story or paint a picture. Her imagination was better than some artists these days. Since there was no limit to her imagination and clearly artists were running out of ideas.

When thea entered the art gallery she realized the art wasn't anything like she was used to seeing in Greece. Which she visitied Greece every so often that she for some reason just expected all art galleries were liked there. So she continued to walk around until she saw an interesting painting. The painting had stars and the city in it. It reminded her of the star festival around here for some reason.
She noticed someone closing her eyes nearby and said, "This art gallery is interesting huh? I was expecting something different how about you?" she totally was oblivious to the fact her eyes were shut. She just figured they were admiring the painting too.

Cici looked over at the person who had interrupted her bored pouting and she glared at them and then she laughed "Oh this is nothing, there are far bigger galleries than this little street fair of a event." She gestured at the painting "Why would you think this is anything great?" She looked at their outfit and figured they had won tickets they couldn't have afforded the tickets otherwise. She was clearly a spoiled brat and always had been. "But hey if you like it, I'm sure it's good enough for you." She said in a backhanded comment. She yawned again, "Personally I think there are better artists out there and most of them are dead of course." She said with a smirk. She bet this person had never gone to a real gallery with classic art in it. She had been to tons of them and she had been over seas before. Cici was a pampered child of a rich family. She looked about thinking about what she wanted to do next, maybe the buffet would be alright, then again it might be lousy to in her view. She was used to refined things, it was her father who seemed to want her to be down to earth so she could connect with the lower class. Come on now, why would she need that to work at her families business? She didn't have much of a choice if she wanted to keep her trust fund and not be cut off from the money she loved so much. She couldn't have that now could she?

Normally Thea would just ignore the person but the amount of snobby-ness in her words irritated her.
So she smirked before speaking. She wanted to sound nice but she wasn't sure she had it in her. She did try her best as she responded. Since her father always said she needed to harness it in if she ever wanted to inherit the gym one day.
"First of all I said interesting - not great. Second you're right this is nothing. Especially compared to the Alexandros Soutsos Museum in Athens, Greece. Where they have the famous painting 'The Arnolfini Portrait' by Jan van Eyck. Which I'm sure someone of your status has seen before right?"
She knew her family wasn't super rich but they were pretty well off. Thea's family, rooted in Greek culture, held a strong belief in their own wealth and status. While they may not have been considered super rich by societal standards, within their Greek family, they considered themselves to be quite well off. After all her father owned one of the best gyms in town. She had seen many famous boxers come in and out of its doors. Which was why she wasn't afraid to be a bit of a kind smartass sometimes.
"Just saying you might not want to be so quick to judge. Not everyone is what they seem. But you know I think I'll heard towards the buffet next. I heard it has some very cultured restaurants participating and all this talk about art has made me hungry. You're welcome to join me if you'd like. I mean that is if you like good food, and would like to talk about some good art you've seen." She smiled, she wanted to have a good time and who knows maybe they just got off on the wrong foot. Plus she wouldn't mind hearing about some galleries they went too.

Cici just laughed and walked away amused by the way she had ruffled their feathers. She felt like she had won this match since she had upset them. (Fin for Cici)
