Heike 1 When it came time for Heike to leave, she was surprised to be delaying it. Heike had not voiced out loud when she had planned on continuing her journey back down south, but she was glad she had not. There was no one to question why she was lingering around Emeka for so long. Even she wasn't sure how long it'd been since she'd walked in here and met the Alkidike twins who had lived here their entire lives and had shared their home with her. And their friendship. It was such an odd thing to think about. Friends. The Elidae had come to really enjoy their company. Not so much seeking them out for companionship as simply not minding if they were around and even going out of her way to try to add to conversations or help them with something. Was that friendship? She honestly wasn't sure. There had been no Sister she had ever felt any sort of connection with. Not back home, not here. Trust was such a difficult thing for her to give up. She respected the older generations, as she was taught. That was different than trusting them.
Not that it really mattered. In the end, she had left. Heike found herself alone, in the middle of the forest once more, steering her body towards the east. When last she had been with her cousin, Doesina had stopped at Ast and Heike assumed she would still be there. Unlike those she had met in Emeka, the Elaria wasn't one whose company she enjoyed. Quite the opposite. She found Doesina silly and undisciplined, far too willing to forgive everyone anything. She chased after Earthlings like some lovesick teenager. One day that would get her into trouble, if it hadn't already. And Heike wouldn't be there to get her out of it. She sighed deeply at the thought, rubbing the bridge of her nose. The faster she got back, the faster she could get off Jauhar, and the faster she could be rid of Doesina. Hopefully forever.

Cathán shifted his spear as he continued hunting through the jungle. The hybrid had grown restless of sitting around camp once again and had decided to go test his luck out in the wilderness. It wasn’t the same since his brother had decided to pick up blacksmithing, the time it took to hone his skills leaving little room and time for Cat’s antics or any training together like before. And so the solo act continued with his reckless spree resulting in Cat’s return with constant new injuries to patch up. Somehow though he had stumbled into the path of an Elidae today, the appearance of the foreign Aishan making Cat nearly trip over a root before he caught himself.
Flipping his spear around in a flashy move like he was going to attack before stopping short, Cat grinned towards the Elidae. “Alone all the way out here?” He asked with his gaze bright with interest. She looked strong! And of course Cat didn’t know of anything like personal boundaries especially when approaching another Aishan who looked like a good challenge. “It’s a good place for a sparring match if you’ve got nothing else going on. What do you think?” Anyone else may have considered it a ridiculous request especially after such a rude entrance, but all the hybrid could see was the potential for a good time by clashing with the other Aishan.

Heike 2 What Heike loved the most about the wilderness was the quiet. So long as she stayed off the trails and roads, she could easily avoid others. The chances of finding another all the way out here were slim. Not impossible. She'd had to skirt around traveling Earthlings before. But still not common enough to be much of a worry. So it was more than a surprise that she, or rather he, found someone else out here, so far from anything. Even more so when he seemed to have come upon her without her even noticing he was there. That alone made her narrow her eyes in anger. Not only an Earthling, but a male had come on her unawares. Only....
Her eyes took him in with a look of contempt, her lip curled. She put one hand behind her back, to grip the spear that was tied to her bag. He wasn't even worth the effort, really. But if he really insisted on this, she would have to indulge him. At least enough to beat him into the ground as a lesson not to provoke random Sisters, who he had no right to even look at.
"You really think that wise?" she asked, gesturing to the weapon in his hands.

Oh that was a look which made his blood boil! Cathán couldn't help the grin that crossed his lips, his gaze brightening with defiance against that curled lip. "Here I thought the Elaria were the more antisocial ones." He replied, not wanting to back down at all especially after receiving such a reaction. Even if someone was annoyed by him there was something about that look which made him determined to prove himself. The last time he had been looked at so distastefully was when he visited Zinris, the rush of feelings from that fight with the other hybrid making him seek even more dangers ever since.
"Wise?" Cat let out a laugh. "I've never been called wise so why start now?" He taunted, twisting the weapon in his hands as if preparing to block an oncoming strike. "But if you're too afraid of having a hybrid trample on you in a sparring match, I suppose I can't hold it against ya." He knew those were fighting words, especially against any purist who would sneer at his very presence. If anything it made the curve of his lips even more obnoxious, Cat fully taunting the other Aishan to see how she would react.

Heike 3 Not a surprise that he wasn't willing to back down. Hybrids never did have much sense. The Earthling half of their brain was at fault for that. As if they would ever be enough of a match for a full Sister. They were not born for battle. They did not hone their skills enough. They didn't already have the body of a warrior from the moment they first opened their eyes to the world.
"Shouldn't you be selling candles or whatever else it is you Earthlings do with your time?" With a flick of her fingers, Heike released the spear from its fabric hook on her back, while also sliding the bag to the ground so it wouldn't hinder her movements, tossing the spear between her hands. Stepping lightly, she circled him, always keeping her eyes trained on his face and body for signs of action. And for an opening to make her own.
If he was so stubborn to do this, it was his funeral.
