Welcome to the Drama Unit. In this module, we will cover the Elements of Drama and we will review some plays and performances. Dramas can be very detailed with staging instructions, characterisation, setting details, and sometimes dramatists (playwrights) also leave flexibility. Review the materials in the course module, then get ready to share your thoughts in the forum threads below.

Before we begin, answer each of the following questions in a separate post:
• Have you ever attended a professional drama performance? Which type of drama was it (play, opera, musical, dance)? • What is the last play you read? Did you enjoy it? • Have you ever seen a musical drama? What type of musical was it? Do you enjoy musicals? • What is your experience with opera and ballet? • Have you watched a film / TV adaptation of a play? Which format did you enjoy most, and why?
