Well that had been the quickest and most awkward introduction she’d ever faced. Not she was left standing in front of a very tall, very intimidating looking Elarian woman. She’d been told it was her guide’s mother. Of course she hadn’t gotten to really explain things before Kyllha had taken off. So now all she could do was give a wave to the woman.

Her daughter had brought home a stranger, An Elidae, and then took off somewhere else. She stared off after her child before she sighed and looked at the other girl that was standing before her. Of course the girl gave her an awkward wave and she had to scoff a little. “I’m not going to bite, if that’s what you’re afraid of.” She heaved a sigh and motioned for the girl to speak. “What are you here for?”

Since Kyllha had failed to let her mother know why she had brought a stray home she was faced with having to explain that on her own. So she cleared her throat when Akeldama asked her why she was there. “Oh uhm.. Your daughter thought you might be able to introduce me to the mystic.” That was what the plan had been earlier anyways.

She closed her eyes and thought that she would need to get hold of her child and make sure she didn’t bring home any more strangers. If Pruu knew that their little one was running around the woods picking up strays she’d lose it. When she opened her eyes again she stared at the girl. “No.”

“Than- What?” She had started to say a thank you, thinking that perhaps the woman would take her to where she needed to go but instead there had been a flat out refusal to help. “Uh, why not?” She was curious as to why Akel had told her no and if she thought that perhaps Qila herself was a threat.

She eyed the girl a bit before she decided to answer. “Because the mystic is busy.” That and she didn’t exactly want to bother her any. Not for some little girl who came to sight see. So she shook her head a bit and motioned for the girl to walk in the direction she pointed. “Come on. I’ll take you somewhere else instead.”

Well that made sense. If the mystic was occupied with other business then it would be rude to interrupt it simply to ask if some stranger was allowed near the mother tree. So when Akel told her to come with her she gave a surprised look but moved all the same. If she was going to get something else in return then who was she to complain.

She led the way for the girl and took her along an outside trail. It would skirt the village just a little and eventually go up a small incline. From there one could see the mother tree hidden away in the village. She motioned out to it so that the girl understood where to look.

As they walked she looked around and couldn’t help but notice they were walking away from the center of town. It made her frown slightly. Was she being escorted out? Then when they were on some type of small hill Akel stopped and pointed. She followed with her eyes and then paused. “Oh my.” There stood the mother tree for the Elarians.

She crossed her arms over her chest as the girl caught sight of what it was she wanted to show her. “I’ll see if I can’t snag an elder to take you closer but this should work for now.” The woman spoke with a bit of pride in her voice. Oddly enough this wasn’t the first time she’d taken someone to this small hill to show them the tree.

She nodded her head. “This is amazing.” Her eyes seemed glued for the longest time but she eventually managed to peel them away from the beautiful sight to look at Akeldama. A large smile was in place on her face. “Thank you.” After that her eyes went back to the sight of the Mother Tree located inside the Elarian village.

She nodded her head at the sight of the smile. A small smile of her own forming, though she hid it away from view. “Not many remember this hill is here.” She commented off hand. “I used to come here often as a kid. I’m fairly certain Kyllha comes here often too.” So why her daughter didn’t just bring the other girl here was beyond her.

“Its amazing. We don’t have something like this where I live.” There was no hill to go on to see the tree. Then again she didn’t remember there being many visitors to her village. Unless they were kept secret from the rest of the village. Her own mother was one for gossip so she figured she’d have heard about it.

“I’m sure there’s a place somewhere that others can see but not get close.” She’d made the trip to the Elidae village with her own family to visit her sister-in-law. She hadn’t really explored much as that would have been seen as disrespectful but she didn’t think that the tree was completely hidden from view. Well protected, yes, but not hidden.

“If there is I never found it.” Although she had been a creature of habit for the most part. She stuck to certain trails because they had the best views. Or the best berries. Maybe she’d have to explore a bit more when she got there to see if there was something similar to see the tree with.
