"To the bakery?" She asked as her mother wrapped a cloth over the top of the basket.
'Yes, they are expecting these cookies for their child's birthday in a few days.' her mother confirmed, though Aldara wasn't sure why they were baking them when the parents of the kid owned a literal bakery.
"Couldn't they just make their own? I mean, they own a bakery and know how to bake." She was confused, but then again... This was also the fact she didn't want to leave the home for dumb reason.
Aldara's mother put her hands on her hips and stared at her daughter. 'Aldara, not everyone knows the recipes of people outside their families. Now, you are going to take this basket and make the delivery.' her mother said sternly making Aldara flinch a bit.
She hardly seen her mother this stern, normally she would do the delivery herself. Shaking her head, Aldara grabbed her shawl and wrapped it over her shoulders. Sure she didn't need it, but the sun was sometimes awful bright. Taking hold of the basket, she was ushered out of the house and into the bright outdoors.
"Right, deliver the cookies, then right back home." Aldara said as she stepped away from her house and onto the road. What else could go wrong...
