She had needed to find a place to repair her dagger and when she asked around she got pointed in the direction of a smithy not too far from where she’d been. Of course she was new to the area so she wasn’t sure hoe good they were. Back home the weapons were made by a sister and she trusted them. However, since she wasn’t back in her own village yet she couldn’t really be picky.

SHe yawned as she looked around her dad’s forge. With nothing better to do, and her brother busy cooking something, she had decided to spend time with her dad as he worked. Since they hadn’t gotten to spend that much time with their parents growing up she was trying to make up for lost time.

He had decided that he wanted to annoy his cousin and his uncle at the same time and since he knew that Sio would be at the forge he’d gone as well. It was just too bad he couldn’t annoy Ari as well. Maybe he’d go pay him a visit afterward. For now he peered over his uncle’s shoulder - as best as he could anyway - being nosy.

He hadn’t minded so much that his daughter had decided to stop by. His nephew however was a bit on the annoying side. Mostly because he was being nosy without actually saying anything. It made it hard for him to work since he had to be conscious of where the boy was when he swung his hammer.

When she located the smithy that she’d been told to go to she looked around to see if there was a main place to shop. Apparently one was able to just walk right in to this one. At home she was used to them setting their wares out on a separate table. The Elarian gave a knock on the door before opening it. “Hello?” She called out the greeting to show she was friendly.

She rolled her eyes softly at her cousins antics. Although with him being in town she was fairly used to it. After all, she’d grown up with him and so she knew he enjoyed getting on the nerves of those he loved. She was about to tell him to give her father some space when the knock came and someone walked in. Since she was shy she kept quiet.

He grinned at his uncle as he noticed he was well in the man’s way. However, he didn’t want to compromise the metal so he did duck to the side and allow him to swing a bit better. After the second hit of metal on metal he heard the knock and turned his head. Still smiling he waved at the newcomer. “Hey.”

With the space given to him by his nephew he was able to swing his hammer easier and actually get to making the sword he’d been working on for the past several hours. Of course he missed the knock but when he heard the greetings of both the customer and his nephew he paused to look over at the woman who had walked in. “Can I help you?”

She waved back at the boy who had greeted her and then smiled at the man who had the hammer in his hands. That was definitely who she wanted to deal with. “I uh.. Need a blade repaired.” She pulled the chipped dagger from its place and held it out with both hands. “I chipped the edge.”

With the greetings made she tried to blend into the background. New people weren’t really her thing. She looked from the new lady to her cousin and then to her father. As the blade was produced she of course looked at it as well but other than that she did nothing. She was hoping that the lady wouldn’t notice her at all.

“Ooo, how’d you manage that?” He was curious what the Aishan had been doing to chip the edge of her dagger. In truth he knew it was none of his business but there was nothing else for him to do other than be nosy and possibly annoying. He turned his head to look at his uncle with a smile. “Good thing you’re good at repairs too huh.”

He sighed as his nephew was once again annoying. “Don’t make me send you home to your mother.” The boy was old enough to be on his own so being sent to his mom was more insult than anything. Then again he was sure his sister would just laugh at him for doing it. To the woman with the blade needing fixed he nodded. “I can do that. You need it quickly or do I have time to work with it?” That was the real question.

She gave a half smile at the exchange between the two. It was interesting and amusing. Of course she did notice the third person in the room when she had turned to look at the younger male. So now she was looking at the girl. A nod of her head was given. Since the girl hadn’t said a greeting Ali wasn’t sure if she had something against her kind or if she was just shy. As the blacksmith asked her about the time he had she gave a small shake of her head. “I’ll be in town for a few days so there is time.”

Well her desire to go unnoticed was ignored. She felt her cheeks warm up as she was given a nod from the lady. Not sure what else to do Siofra gave an awkward wave and then quickly shuffled to the side so that Zohra could block her from view. She hated when she didn’t know how to deal with meeting new people but there wasn’t much she could do about it.

“Oh that’s mean Uncle.” The threat to be sent home only made him roll his eyes. His mother was likely to laugh at both of them. Still, he did calm down a bit. And when Sio shifted to be behind him he turned to look at her, giving a worried look. Usually she tried to hide when someone made her uncomfortable. So far he didn’t think the other woman had done much.
