Zybilna's head surfaced from under the water, her small body fighting against the soft beach waves of the very calm, mid-afternoon day. Taking in a deep breath of air, golden eyes scanned the beach in front of her. It was easy to spot her mother and father and Tao. Her head spun in place as she looked out over the water for her twin brother. A wave of the seawater sent the youngling sputtering for air. She was getting used to the movement of the ocean waves upon the shore. Knowing full well that she had to be careful of any undertow. Thankfully, her mother and father knew the safest places for them to play at.
Giggling before diving back under the surface Zybilna was on a mission. Today she was not only practicing her diving, but exploring the various fauna of the wet world. Since her mom had insisted on wanting to spend more private time away with her dad. She was going to get more freedom to play with her brother Vaehaeys.
Catching sight of a shell under the semi clear water. Zybi swam down to grab it. Her fingers lacing around the object before her lungs began to bother her for the need of better air.

Drawing small circles in the sand, the hybrid monk glanced from one child to the next. A feeling of overwhelming pride in the offspring she shared so lovingly with her mate Lynxdaroch. It was surprising to see that her children had been born with the colors she had exhibited before the change. While she had driven herself into consuming as much knowledge and material as possible about the strange phenomenon, she wasn't able to find any explanation for the cause. So she had simply learned to accept the event for what it was. It didn't chance how she felt towards her family. She loved them all for who they were. Feeling the love and support in exchange.
Giggling as she watched Zybi's head surface and disappear again. She knew the girl needed to blow off some steam. Teiluj knew she was pushing her hard to learn as much as she could. She was making the same attempts with her son, though the results were different. Showing just how much the twins varied in their personalities. Wiping some of the building humidity from her forehead, she wasn't too concerned with Zybi playing around in the water. She knew if trouble occurred, Lynx would be right there to keep them safe.
"I think, they, are the best gift you could have ever given me." Teiluj hummed. Turning her gaze towards Lynx. Her once golden, now lime eyes took in the sight of the man. "Have I ever told you, how much I love all of you?"

Vaeharys wasn't too far from his twin, though while she was busy diving under the water he was occupied with floating. His little body laid out on the surface of the water, just going along with the waves as they pushed him closer and closer to the shore. Every so often he'd have to move and swim back out to start all over again. He didn't seem to mind it all that much, in fact when a wave rolled under him he giggled.
His head turned to the side, dipping one ear into the water, and watched as Zybilna dove back under. He kept her whereabouts in mind so that he knew when and where she should be at any given moment. He waited for her to surface as he let his limbs stay relaxed.

Lynx had swam these waters with his own twin as a kid and so he knew that they were safe. The softer waves in this area were more forgiving than the harsher waves farther down the shore. Just as Teiluj did he kept his eyes on his children, watching what they did and timing how long they stayed under the water. Should they be under too long then he was prepared to go in after them. When he heard his lover speak the hybrid male turned his head toward her, reluctant to take his eyes off the kids. He took a breath and moved his head to shake at her. "No. They are gifts you gave to me." Lynx winked at her. "Everyday but I enjoy hearing it." He reached out with one hand and wrapped a loose strand of her hair around his finger. "I know I don't say it enough. I am truly thankful to have you in my life. I love you and I intend to spend the rest of my life with you and our children."

Kicking off the sand below her, Zybilna propelled herself towards the surface. Her eyes eventually found their resting place with her twin. Breaking along the surface of the water the youngling giggled, quickly depositing the found item in her brothers hand. Her arms and legs making the needed motions for her body to stay treading at the surface of the water. Her voice breathless. "Here, another. Wanna see if there's anything in this one?"
Her breathing was heavy at first. Slowly calming before the youngling dove back under the water. Their mom had only recently taught her how to braid her hair, and she was determined to attempt to braid the pearls into her brothers hair. His hair was pretty, prettier than her own. And she loved the added adventure in playing with his hair.
After having kicked off the bottom of the tidepool. Zybi found it rather difficult to see through the murky water she had kicked up. Letting out a few bubbles in irritation she moved back towards the surface. "We should move a little more that way." Zybi pointed in a random direction. "I can't see anything in the sand anymore here."

There was love and tenderness in the hybrids eyes. Enjoying the moment she was able to share with the man she loved so deeply. Closing her eyes against the feel of her hair being toyed with. Moving just enough so she could lean her head against his shoulder. Her eyes remained closed. She was too busy soaking in the peace the day was giving her. Away from the chaos of her companions family.
"I know I promised you more, do you think these two troublemakers are old enough for us to maybe... aim for some more?" She opened her eyes to the sound of Zybi speaking to her brother and gave a soft laugh. "I'll bet we may have to put holes in those pearls. She's probably going to try to use them as beads in Vae's hair."

When Zybi surfaced beside him he smiled at her and held his hand out as he saw her bringing a shell out of the water. This one was in tact so he did wonder if there was something in it. As his sister dove back under he moved so that he was no longer floating but treading water to stay afloat. He eyed the shell a bit, turning it around to see if there was a place he could pry it open. There was but it was too small for his fingers, so they would need something thin and strong to put into it. Or maybe just smash it on a rock.
When his twin surfaced again to say she couldn't see he looked down at the water. It had gotten a bit murky. So he looked to where she pointed and then nodded. "Okay. Maybe you'll find more. I think I can smash this one open." He commented as he slowly started to swim in the direction she'd chosen.

He let go of her hair as she leaned her head against him, that way it didn't pull. As she mentioned her promise to give him more kids he chuckled a bit and focused on the two in the water. Were the twins old enough? He worried about that. There was some years between him and his siblings. Especially the last two. "Almost.." He finally said. "Let them enjoy being your only babies for a bit longer then I have no problems adding more." Seeing the two swimming to another area he watched with hawk-like eyes to make sure they didn't go too far. "You might be right and I don't think he'll stop her." Their boy had taken a liking to having his hair done even if his sister did wacky up-dos. "I'll be sure to get the tools out when we get home."

Zybi 3
Glancing back as her brother mentioned smashing the shell, Zybi shook her head quickly. "No wait, we should ask papa to help us open it. Remember what mamma said, the shells have multiple uses. Even as something to sell back in Oba for a little extra money. They sell better when they are intact. "
Having given her reminder, Zybilna took another dive under the water towards the direction she was pointing in. Making sure she was still swimming within the bounds of the marked territory. She had learned her lesson the last time she had wandered to far away.
Popping her head above the water to see if her brother was following, Zybi waved in his direction. Another dive followed her eyes scanning through the sandy bed in search of any more shells. Catching sight of a few, she marked their location in her memory this time. In case the water became too clouded again.

Her head remained against Lynx's shoulder. Taking the rare moment to absorb as much of the much needed contact as she could. Looking up at his face briefly at the mention of the twins being her only babies for a while longer. She had to wonder if he, himself was speaking from experience. He was the oldest of several siblings after all. And unlike him, she was an only child. "Alright, we can wait a little longer. There would have to be a reason you're wanting it this way. "
She closed her eyes and returned to her resting position. These rare treasured moments were full of peace after everything they had endured together since they had first met. Her hand reaching up to trace along the veins of his arm. "Do you think we should be heading back to Oba soon? I know we've made the trip a few times now with the children. Much easier too without my mother trying to join in."

Vae 3
As she reminded him that the shells could be useful even after they were empty he looked at it then nodded his head. His sister was right. Plus the inside of the shells were usually really pretty too. So he kept it in his hand as he swam slowly over to where the new dive location was.
He wasn't as mindful to the boundaries as his sister was. Mostly because he followed her no matter where it was they were going. In bounds. Out of bounds. The twins were usually together.
When he noticed that Zybi had found her diving spot he took a breath and joined her in the underwater adventures. His eyes took a second to adjust but once he located a shell he went down to grab it then made his way back to the surface. The only bad part was that he didn't have anything to hold a lot of shells with.

He leaned his head against hers and smiled even though she couldn't see it. "Zasha and Zohra were born not too long after Iexa and me. It was pure chaos." He knew his mother had lost a few years off her life due to them scaring her. "Give the twins time to mature a little before we give them little siblings to help scare us." He laughed at the thought. Of course he'd done his fair share of things so he could anticipate what his own kids would do. He moved so that he could look at Tei's face. "Unless you would like to be brave like my mother and have more right now." Lynx wasn't against the idea. He just knew how his mate was when the kids got too far away. He could only imagine if it was more than just the twins. "I have no issues with having more. I'll gladly take a whole litter if you think you can carry it." The man smirked at Teiluj.

Plucking another shell from the sand, Zybilna made eye contact with her brother. Giving him a nod before heading to the surface. She wouldn't be able to hold that many shells either. It was probably best to go hand what they had found over to their parents so they could come back to find more.
Sinking a little into the water Zybilna motioned to her brother to follow her back to their parents with the shells. Twirling in the water, and kicking out with her feet Zybilna moved towards the shore. Towards her parents

Teiluj's eyes snapped up to watch Lynx's movements, searching his face as he spoke. "You and your siblings must have given your mother a handful. It's a good thing we can come and visit her so often so she can help out." Teiluj smiled. She enjoyed Lynx's mother's company. She felt like she belonged, like she mattered, loved and stable.
"I trust your decisions Lynx. You know that, besides you have the experience of siblings. Which I don't." Blushing furiously at his wink, Teiluj averted her gaze out towards the children. Watching Tao bark and hop in and out of the water as it crept up the sand. He wasn't as interested in joining in the water, just playing with it. Snapping to see how fast he could catch the odd bubble before it disappeared or popped.
"Though now that you mention it. I do have a suspicion that little girl of ours is going to be a problem. She's already sneaking off often enough as it is. It's not good when we are traveling, she could easily get hurt." Teiluj fussed. Wiggling her feet in the sand. Flexing her toes thoughtfully.

Vae 4
He looked up at his sister and noticed her motion to go to shore. Underwater he nodded his head and moved to swim up and get a breath. Vaehaerys was okay at diving but he couldn't stay under as long as Zybilna could. When he surfaced he shook his head and blinked his eyes to get his bearings. Once he knew which way he was swimming her started toward their parents.
The little boy figured he could drop off the shells he had and then go back in to find more. He'd have to ask his sister how many she wanted.
