Zybilna was busy working on a puzzle that had been given to her and her brother by a family member. Lifting another piece up to inspect it, Zybilna stopped and turned to look at her older brother. A mischievous grin danced across her face while she contemplated something they could do.

"You know Vaeh, I think I have an idea." The pair were currently sitting in matori, a place they were often brought, in order to keep close connections with their fathers side of the family. She enjoyed the visits. Her grandmother had even started teaching her a sneaky thing or two. "Remember that cave I pointed out near the shore when we went fishing?"

Zybilna's smile grew beckoning her brother to sit with her. "We should go check it out. But we have to sneak by pappy. In the kitchen." She whispered suddenly much quieter in her play than before.

Zybilna watched her brother moving around. Curious she watched his actions and plans unfold before understanding what he was really doing. Covering her mouth with both of her hands as she tried to hide her giggle. Nodding her head eagerly, she followed her twin secretly to the door. Making sure to avoid any creeking in the floor, or bumping objects that would alet pappy to their location. Sneaking food from under his nose was one thing, but to get out the door was another.

Taking hold of her twins hand, Zybilna lead the rest of the way forward with Pasha in tow. The loatoa jumped up onto Zybilnas head, the youngling wasted no time in sneaking carefully through the door. It wasn't locked today, making today's escape even easier.

Tugging her brother through the door, Zybilna took off running and giggling. No one was going to catch them now. "C'mon c'mon." Zybilna giggled, her golden eyes watched pasha leap forward and take off through the grass. Making sure to keep right on the loatoas path. "She will remember the way. Lots of fish."

Her giggling intensified the further away from the house they got. Swinging her arms out to the side as she ran faster, humming and giggling while tilting this way and that. Every so often she would flap her arms in imitation of starline. Only slowing as she ran out of breath. "One day, I'm going to be strong enough to ride Starline, just like mama. Queen of the sky!" Pumping her fist up into the air she spun around to look her twin up and down. "With her trusty knight on a -" She paused hesitating, her mind struggled to recall another animal like the kinfa. "Another kinfa!" She finally concluded.

Suddenly remembering what they were doing, she snapped her head back to see just how far Pasha had gotten. Spinning back on her heals she reached back to grab her twins hand and take off back after the loatoa. "Maybe we can find some nice eggs in the cave and take them back to papa."

Having not been paying attention to where her feet were going, Zybilna's toes caught in the arch of a tree root. Letting go of her brothers hand to shove both palms out in front of her, determined to brace her fall. Yelping as she hit the ground. "Well that was rude," she pouted. "Pasha come back."

"Oh no, Vaeh!" Zybilna bounced back up, quickly checking to make sure he hadn't gotten hurt or scrapped anything. "Who put that tree there!? They should have a play date with banshee. Stupid." She busied herself with checking her brother for wounds. Periodically calling out to pasha.

"Okay fine, you don't have to touch them, you can just carry it in something else." Sitting back with a satisfied huff Zybilna's eyes turned towards the sky. Instinctively making sure they weren't being followed by starling yet. Grinning when she couldn't see any signs of the large creature.

Pushing awkwardly to her feet she continued looking around for pasha. Reaching out to help her brother to his feet. A small panic washed over her, waiting for the loatoa yo appear.

Eventually the geline emerged, a soft mewl, a yawn and a stretch. "Okay, there you are. Now, onto the cave."

"Are you okay though." Zybilna asked looking at her brother through the corner of her eyes. Doing her best to keep tabs on pashas location so they didn't get lost. Jerking to an immediate stop with her hands outstretched defensively to either side. Her body instantly moved to position herself between a sound in the distance and her brother. Lowering herself as soundlessly to the ground as possible. "I don't think we are making it to the cave." She whispered. Motioning for Vaehaerys to get lower to the ground too.

It wasn't much longer before pasha had also circled back around towards the twins. She wasn't the source of the strange noise. Something bigger was out there.

Pushing her index finger to her lips in a hushing motion, Zybilna kept a careful watch over the area of the field in front of her. Taking a step back towards Vaehaerys protectively her arms still outstretched. Keeping her small frame low to the ground. "I don't know." She whispered, shaking her head slowly back and forth. "Maybe we should have brought Tao along with us." She mumbled her voice even lower than it was before.

Zybilna watched pasha closely, her eyes flicking about. It was almost simultaneously reactive between pasha and Zybilna. The loatoa bolted forward, the same moment that Zybilna grabbed hold of her brothers hand again. Jerking him forward through the roots and grass. Too small to be bothered by any trees that may be in their path.

It took a bit longer before they did reach the cave in question. Heaving deep, heavy breaths as she slowed her stride upon nearing the entrance.

The cave itself was a small hole leading deep into the ground. Only big enough for the twins to fit through with pasha. "See I saw this when we were out with uncle the other day." Getting down on her knees, Zybilna crawled forward. Her eyes struggling to adjust to the dark. "It's not that bad, just small."

Zybilna nodded slowly. Her twin was likely right, this was probably just an animal den. It looked so much like a cave full of adventures when she saw it from afar. After a moment of crawling though the tunneling they emerged into a rather large opening. Zybilna had to rub at her eyes, the sparkle from the faint light reaching into the cave bounced off polished quarts. It was like standing in the center of a giant geode that someone had cracked open. Without more light however Zybilna wasn't eager to press further in. This was her limit.

Turning to see if her brother had gotten through to the same cave she had. Pasha was waiting in the center with her tails flicking back and forth. In her mouth was a struggling piplit, the loatoas fur was soaked from her belly down. Beside her Zybilna could see the rippling of water from a low tide. "Wait... Vaeh, how long have we got until high tide?" A sudden panic entered her voice, swallowing back a dread that she may have just gotten them into some pretty serious trouble.
