Quote:
Prompt 14 (Plight of the Penguin): Most birds migrate south for the winter. Destiny City is hardly a tourist destination for any migratory bird–much less penguins. They don’t even fly! And yet, Destiny City has a colony of roughly a thousand penguins that have decided to take a winter vacation in the metropolis. One evening, the horde of penguins waddled into town, and though they’ve broken up into smaller groups for the time being, there are still so many of them. They are friendly and they are foolish. They don't know anything about city life. They waddle into stores, hang out in the road, and stare at decorative lights. They look like they’re having the time of their life, and they are not afraid of people, at all. They will follow you home. They’ll croak at you. They’ll try to eat whatever you have in your hands. The penguins look like Adélie penguins, but they are only about a foot and a half tall and some are far more plump than others. All sorts of rumors have been going around about these penguins–they’re migrating because of climate change, they escaped the zoo and bred in the forests of Destiny City, they’re escaped from a lab attempting to create a new wave of pets, they’re aliens–to be honest, no one really seems to know. The city is corralling them and attempting to relocate them somewhere safer, but the friendly little penguins are happy to be involved for as long as they can. By the end of the season, Destiny City will have safely recovered all of these cute little birds, so they cannot be kept as a pet and will escape if you attempt to confine one, but they are mostly friendly and like to be involved in whatever you’re doing. Their calls can be either cute or creepy, and they look like funny little monsters if you manage to agitate them enough to get them chasing you. They almost always travel in small groups and always look after each other.

For some odd reason, there were penguins running around the city and she hated it.

One followed her into the house she shared with her mom and they both had the time of their lives trying to get the damned thing to go back to its flock. Imagine her ire when while on patrol she ran into MORE of the damned things as well as a white moon senshi that seemed like they were the same power level as her. Instead of turning around and leaving the poor thing be, Pezz stalked closer, cracking her knuckles. This would be her chance to get rid of the little shits AND get her first starseed. Once she was done cracking her knuckles, the lieutenant summoned her “weapon” twirling it between her fingers. “You look disgustingly content to be playing with the most recent scourge of the city.” She tilted her head, “What’s a little snack like you doing out here all on your own? Don't you baby white moon bitches have, like a… parent or escort for the first couple of weeks?” She knew nothing about the other side except that they are a hindrance to the Negaverse’s plan to protect the Earth and it's people, which was enough for her to be honest.

Any reason to practice using people like punching bags.

Procyon had followed the flock of penguins from the park where he’d spoken with Stribor. He was worried about the little things getting lost or hurt as they crossed roads and into alleyways. He’d been sitting on the ground in the center of a group of six of the little guys, feeding them treats and snacks that he’d gotten from a friend.

Looking up as he felt chaos nearby, he got up and stepped carefully over his little friends. “They’re my friends, aquatic just like I am. You’re one of those… Negaverse agents, aren’t you?” It was that different type of chaos than the one that ruined his homeworld. This one had a disgusting mouth, he could hear just rage and nastiness flowing out.

Adjusting his winter poncho over his uniform, he pulled out his arm that was made of metal and whatever other material Daedalus had used. It didn’t feel cold like his real one so it was easier to deal with things that didn’t need a lot of dexterity in winter.

“If you are here to hurt my friends, then I’m going to have to stop you.” He’d figure it out, at least he’d try to and if it came down to it he could maybe call for Miss Ida to come help or maybe Selinur would be better since they enjoyed the cold.

Awwwwe.

He sounded cute, and if she wasn't in such a bad mood she would happily just drain his energy and leave him be. However, he was just in her way at this point and she needed to make sure those stupid puffy birds didn't live to see the light of another day. The agent let out a cackling laugh, “YOU'RE going to stop ME?” granted she knew the senshi had magic, but depending on the type of magic she could just dodge and get some good hits in. Speaking of hits…Pezz brought her fists up, getting into her boxing stance to prepare. “You'd better hope that baby magic of yours knocks me out senshi, because if you don't, I'm going to beat that pretty little face in.” THEN she was going after the puffy monsters.

Without much else she dashed forward, fist raised to strike hard and fast.

Sailor Scout Attack: Procyon’s Path
Procyon says the name of his attack and takes a step forward, anyone in a 10 foot circle around him no longer see him but instead see a place of transition. Whether it be a hallway they think they recognize or a train station devoid of people, it will be an area that feels wrong but without obvious reason why. They can see and interact with the area but it is all an illusion. For as long as they are within the illusion, they will feel disoriented and lost, like they have no foundation and no direction. They may feel anxiety or stress, or an uneasy pressure as they navigate the sensation that everything they had is gone and there is no concrete path towards the future. When the magic fades they may still have a sense of unease with them or a feeling of being watched. Magic lasts 30 seconds and has a radius of effect of 10ft from Procyon. This can be used 3 times per battle.

“Someone has to.” Stepping forward Procyon mumbled the name of his attack and waited to see what blowback would happen this time. As long as his little bird friends were okay things would be fine. He’d gotten used to getting dizzy or feeling drained after using his magic.

Pulling both arms up just in case that didn’t work, he tried to mirror their pose as he sidestepped. They were pretty tall so hopefully he could keep low and avoid getting hit, moves more flowy than fighty.

Just when she thought she was going to get her first hit on a magic slinger, they mumbled something and just…Disappeared. All she could see was tiled flooring, concrete and…Where was she? “Huh?” The lieutenant looked to the left and right, seeing nothing but an endless hallway. Was she in an empty subway? How? She was just outside not too long ago… “T-This isn't funny! Hey you stupid little magic slinging s**t!!! Come out and fight fair!” she continued to walk down the empty subway, groaning as a weird pressure started to build and press down on her back. Everything just felt wrong, like something didn't belong in this strange place. Was it her?! Is she the thing that didn't belong?! If so, then how does she leave? How does she get out? The lieutenant's breathing started to increase while she grabbed at her chest, finding it hard to take in oxygen. Leaning against the wall she tried to navigate her way out, anywhere really so long as she could get out of this unnatural hell.

“Please…..Please let me out! I don't wanna be here anymore!” The pressure! Why was it growing?! Was she going to die here???? No! She had to escape! Her fists started banging on the walls, hoping someone would hear her pleas and rescue her. She was almost half tempted to hit her oh s**t button in the form of Villon. Taking on a magic slinger without bringing one of your own to back you up should be rule number one during training.

——-

Well… it seemed to be working, even if he’d gotten pretty weak from the attack. A few of the little penguins started circling back around him, making their weird little calls as they all watched the girl talking to thin air. He felt a bit bad about things but they had been pretty rude. Shooing his little friends back to the tree line, he called out. “Hey! Over here!” If she made her way over this way the magic would be over by then and maybe she’d be a bit less fighty.

He’d seen all sorts of reactions in the past with his magic but this was a bit concerning, were they having a panic attack? It would be bad if they passed out in the cold since he really couldn’t do much about helping them with that either.

The lieutenant was about to cry when she heard a voice coming from a certain direction, instantly picking herself up to run towards what she would hope is her way out. When she finally made it back, she collapsed to her knees, sniffling. That was an experience she did not want to go through again, didn't matter HOW much she was supposed to grab starseeds or some s**t like that. She looked at the senshi with anger in her eyes, still sniffling, “You magic slingers are nothing but DANGER and do NOT belong on this planet…Next time I will be ready for whatever bullshit you decide to throw my way.” Getting up on her feet the lieutenant backed away and took off. This was embarrassing, but it was an eye opening experience, one that she would definitely learn from.

Danger? But he hadn’t done anything to hurt her? It hurt a bit but he’d gotten her to stop bothering the little birds so as she ran off he joined the creatures and kept trying to get them to go back to their home, checking over his shoulder just in case she came back. He’d tell Illyria about his first experience with one of the chaos members, it wasn’t anything like he’d expected.
