Quote: Prompt 17 (Cryogenic Crisis): A strange phenomenon has overtaken the flora of Destiny City. Most prevalent in large trees, but occurring also in saplings, bushes, and any wooded plant, the color seems to be completely draining and the plants are becoming oddly crystalline. Leaves and bark especially almost seem to be turning to ice, and observant passersby might notice that the trees seem to be crystalizing. They are cold to the touch and even seem to melt under heat. The increased weight has made it dangerous to walk beneath any of these trees; branches also snap and fall, and even leaves and small twigs can become dangerous projectiles. Scientists have said there is a pollutant in the water causing a strange chemical reaction, but there’s still something suspicious about it. Destiny City has employed some specialists to treat the afflicted trees, and some already seem to be in various stages of recovery–but if you’re out and about, chances are that you’ll still find a few of these arborous anomalies. Voyager had been through a few of Destiny City's winter anomalies while being a knight, but every year seemed to be stranger than the last, and this time it had to do with the trees. Well, a lot seemed to happen to the poor trees this year, he could only hope that most of them would still be alive by the end of it. Still, he couldn't help but be curious and as he had heard his colleagues at the museum talking about the trees and cold to the touch. He only wished he could preserve one of them, but one of his arborist friends had told him that the leaves seemed to melt in the heat. It was the main reason he had come out tonight, to look at the trees around the museum and other flora that had been unfortunately afflicted by this year's anomaly. If there was any trace of any chaos magic he wanted to find it. Unfortunately some of them couldn't bear the weight of their new ice limbs, and he couldn't help but yet out a yelp when one of them came crashing down near him. And then when he felt another energy signature he almost let out another noise of surprise, before he realized that it was another Knight. Still, he could have done without the possible heart attack. He went off to search where the aura was coming from. Perhaps they had more knowledge of this affliction?

Silistra blinked when she heard a loud sounds and a cry, she thought for sure someone was hurt so she hurried over, she didn't realize she had frightened someone, or she would have apologized. Once she found the knight she looked them over to make sure they were alright. She hadn't even really noticed the ice all over everything she was focused on the knight and if they were hurt. She was a bit out of breath and finally said "Are you alright? What happened??" She huffed a breath and leaned back and looked around trying to look and feel for danger trying to figure out what was going on.

Voyager felt his face go a bit red in embarrassment. He hadn't meant to yell loudly enough to attract someone else's attention! "I'm fine, just one of those ice crystals fell nearby and gave me a scare. Sorry for worrying you so much." He said, looking at the other Knight. He saw the symbols on her uniform and figured that she was a Knight of Saturn. "I've heard so much bout the trees and their crystalization that I wanted to check them out myself. Seems I wasn't prepared for the random surprises that they wanted to give me." He said with a chuckle. "I'm Voyager. I usually patrol around this area."

She sighed out she was glad they were not hurt, she wasn't too worried about helping them heal she didn't mind the pain she took on in order to help others. It was her way. She then shook her head "There is no need to apologize." She said in a soft tone. She didn't want them to feel bad for no reason and being upset because she had gotten upset was silly indeed. "I am glad you are unharmed." She said a little stiffly now the danger was over she was a little uncomfortable with the situation and at a loss as to what she should or could say. She smiled a little when he introduced himself and she said "I am Silistra squire of Saturn and I go around there area wherever I think I may be needed to try to help others." She said in a soft tone. "I can't blame you for wanting to see this it is quiet remarkable."

"It's nice to meet you Silistra!" He said with his signature grin. "Glad to see someone else out tonight, and doubly glad it's not an Agent of Chaos. And that's good! I usually like to go where I know the area the best, but going to new areas and seeing what's there is also helpful as well. I'm sure you've seen a lot more of the city on your patrols than I have."He looked back at one of the trees. "I was hoping that I may see if there was some sort of magic causing all of this but uh, well I'm not any sort of tree expert and I've almost been taken down by one of the branches so I haven't been all that useful in figuring out what's going on with them." He said with a chuckle. "Guess it's just another strange phenomena of the city."

Silistra nodded in agreement she was glad there weren't any agents of chaos out here as well, she wasn't much of a fighter. She was a gentle sort and didn't like violence and conflict it was a wonder why she had ended up where she was, but she had been wishing for the power to help others and she got what she asked for she just had to help her wonder as well as help others. In a way she was healing her wonder as well. She shrugged and then said "Well I suppose, but I don't know how long you have been patroling compared to how long I have been patroling, I am a squire now so perhaps that makes sense." She paused and looked around "It does really look magical." She nodded "That is without question this city is very strange and I haven't seen a holiday where something weird did not happen. I think every knight and senshi would be on edge if a holiday did occur where nothing was happening and everything was peaceful."

He chuckled at her response. "Perhaps you are right. We would all be wondering if something was going to happen the whole time." He looked at the tree again. "Well, as much as I would like to say I knew something about all of this, I suppose it's just another mystery that I'm going to have to note down and mark as unsolved." He had started to make a point of keeping a journal on his Wonder about all of the strange happenings in Destiny City that couldn't be explained. Maybe, sometime in the future, someone would be able to read what he wrote and better understand what was happening. He wanted to leave his mark as well. Even something that said "I was here, I tried to help. Perhaps what I have written down will help you." "I like to believe though that even if we don't know what's going on, something good can happen out of it. Like meeting each other. I think it's good to always go and build connections everywhere. Sometimes I feel like we need to have some big party to meet more people." He said with a laugh. "It is getting late and I'm not sure I want to be impaled by one of these icicles. If you're on your way home I can accompany you. If not or you don't want me to, then I'll be on my way to go and finally get some sleep. Been looking at old artifacts all day."

She nodded to everything he said and then said "Yes, I think it would be a good time to go home and having you walk with me would be a great comfort." She said in a kind tone. She was a little unnerved even if this was a beautiful sight.

He smiled at her. "Good, glad to have some company while we both go back." He hoped that they wouldn't run into any Agents on the way back, but if they did, at least there was two of them.
