Changes: [Going for the last far right hair color, the bluish/green]

Vilasini had never been truly that bothered by pollen before. Usually when the few flowering trees in Jahaur decided to bloom for the season, the large petals unfurling on the trees around the edges that actually seemed more sensitive to the seasons despite the constant warm and humid temperature of the area, she would just continue on living her life with a little sniffle or something. She would do her morning chores, go to the market for trades and other various jobs that the merchants and local shop owners had to offer her, and then return home to tuck away her savings and enjoy a quick dinner that was usually something she picked up while in Neued. If Rek was home then she would try to get home a bit earlier to make a meal for both of them, her skills not being at the level of some professional cooks but enough for a decent meal where they could spend time together and catch up since his latest job as a wandering mercenary. This time though when Vilasini saw the gleaming pollen in the air it was a bit overwhelming, the cloud of it basically smothered her and forced her into her home where she kept the curtains tightly drawn for once. Talk about strange! She just hoped Rek was fairing better than her in this mess, that was for certain. What if it was worse out in Tale? “He was supposed to be home by tomorrow evening, so I guess we’ll see.” Sini would be so disappointed if the pollen stopped him from his visit, it would be the last time for her to see him before departing to Yael. She wanted to travel finally and had found a friend who she trusted to keep her safe on the road, after all. Not that she would mention Doesina’s exact heritage to Rek…not quite yet. She still had to test the waters with him and see if she could just get him to keep a not murderous expression on his face whenever she did bring up an Elarian. It was tough enough with the local Alkidikes and spirits forbid she say anything about those living in Yael, the descendants of Extremists! So the best plan she had concocted thus far was to leave him a note in his belongings, something he would only see when he was already in Oba or to leave one here at the home for his return from his next mission. I’ll probably leave it in the kitchen with some preserves or something for him to enjoy when he returns from that one, just in case. It would be better to leave a note like that with something sweet rather than tucked in his travel bags. What if he saw it before getting to Oba? Rek would probably get back in time to pull her from the docks before even getting near Yael!

So she focused on simply cleaning the house, packing her bags and making plenty of preserves and other things that would last for a good few months. By the time she was done, Vilasini had settled in for the night and it was only the next morning that she realized the itchiness of that pollen had indeed been a bit different from anything she ever experienced before. “What is this?” Vilasini’s gaze widened as she touched her hair, the silver now gone and replaced by a tealish color. It was so bright and vibrant! Her baffled expression was quickly replaced with delight as she gushed about the changes. She did love surprises and talk about a good one! “Oh, I wonder how Rek will react?!” He should be home from his trip to Tale soon and they were supposed to have dinner together before he left for Oba within the next few days. The man never stopped working, sheesh! Did she act like it was a dye? Did she panic like it was an illness? How did one even explain this other than that strange pollen having some sort of effect on her? Sini wasn’t certain how to react. She still felt strong and healthy, well strong depending on perspectives. She definitely had stamina and energy even if her punches still felt like feathers being thrown at someone’s face! Either way all of those thoughts left her mind when she opened the door to find a frustrated Rek, his hair under that bandanna now surprisingly matching her own instead of being its usual white. “Oh how delightful!” Even while he grumbled about it, Sini couldn’t help but to grin happily as she helped him settle in and prepared dinner. What were the chances that they both shared something like that now? It truly was as if the world was saying they were family regardless of blood and she loved it!
