It was one of the first days in Sauti, Limbree roused from her slumber in one of the few inns in the airship port town. Stretching she yawned before showing Skitter off her chest, his favorite spot to sleep and sat up. The Talmna chattered loudly as it was moved from its spot. Curling up again the talmna curled up on the bed and proceeded to fall back asleep. Limbree, rubbing an eye chuckled at her companion’s antics.

“Sorry Skitter, but it is morning and time to get up.” She said scratching behind its ear. “We have a day ahead of us and places to explore. Who knows, maybe we can tinker on something.”

Skitter yawned again as its ear twitched because of the scratching. Its long tail flicked behind it before the tufted end flopped over its face. Limbree only chuckled again as she threw back the covers, blankets falling over Skitter, though it didn’t seem to care.

“I wish I could sleep like you, but I am energized and ready for the day! Let's get breakfast and hit the town!” She said with enough energy to disturb anyone who might have been still sleeping within the inn.

Skitter barely moved, besides its ears giving a stiff twitch, the Geian merely shook her head as she pulled on her outfit for the day and wandered over to the hanging mirror. With comb in hand she pulled her hair back and secured it in her favorite style. Hanging off to one side of her head and a little messy. Packing up her belongings, though they weren’t much, Limbree once more stepped over to the bed.

“Skitter,” She said almost softly. “Do you want breakfast? I am sure we can find you a nice fruit platter.”

The mention of food was enough to get the Telmna to sit up, tossing the blankets that were over its head. Food was one thing that Skitter-eek liked the most. It would do anything for food, even n** something from another’s pocket. Chattering with gusto, SKitter leaped from the bed and onto Limbree’s shoulder. Bree herself laughed at her companion’s antics again before picking up her crossbow and headed out the door.

Walking down the stairs, Bree waved to the innkeeper as she slid into a booth beside one of the wide front windows. Picking up a notepad and pencil the innkeeper headed over to take Bree’s order. Looking at a rough menu, she picked out the farmer’s special of eggs, bacon and hash on the side. She also ordered a bowl of mixed fruit for Skitter. With a cup of strong coffee as well, she glanced outside at the odd dust that was drifting around.

“Well, that is new…” She muttered as the innkeeper came back with her coffee.

‘Yes, news has spread that the mother trees have gone into bloom and pollen has been in over production.’ said the innkeeper as she too looked outside. ‘Strange things have been happening to those who venture out in it.’

The ominous words of the innkeeper piqued Bree’s interest. Strange things? Eating her breakfast as quickly as possible, within reason to not become sick. She paid for her stay and the meal, leaving a generous tip. Limbree picked up Skitter and headed outside.

“Now let's see what these strange things are going on around here.” She said as she looked around, the pollen floating about through the trees.

As Bree walked through the town, she looked around at those that bustled about, no one seemed the least bit phased by what was going on. Really they seemed to just ignore the pollen and just wave it away from their faces when it got too close. Stopping a moment, Bree held out a hand to let the spores collect upon her palm, she squinted at it. It seemed like she was trying to analyze the pollen with just her eyes, but it looked much like normal pollen from just about any other plant. Blowing it from her hand, a bit rolling back to brush against her eyes.

“Ack” she said, blinking and rubbing her eyes a bit. “That was not planned.”

Blinking a few times, Bree looked around again as some were laughing at her for her antics. Did this spoil her excitement of what was happening? Not in the slightest! Carrying on, she exited the town and out into the wilderness. She wondered what sort of critters she could find in these strange new lands. More importantly she wondered what changes this pollen was going to give her. She had noted some skin changes on those in town. Was that something that could happen to her? In a way she hoped so!
