A last minute decision in Jiu's part had landed him in Belrea. Usually he wasn't so impulsive but he wanted to have the experience of traveling before he settled down. Seeing as his family was mostly located in Matori he figured he'd end up there as well and while that didn't bother him he wanted to be able to say he'd gone to different places. So he and his mount were now across the waters and taking in so much. With Huaijiu's photographic memory he was taking an interest in almost everything he came across. If it was new he wanted to get up close and inspect it. He also found interest in the people he saw. While his facial expression didn't much change, he still looked like a grump, he was enjoying himself. Jiu wanted to find the perfect gifts to send back for his brothers and his parents while he was there. Not just so they could have something new but also so they knew he was alright.

Nayyara found herself a little heartbroken that her trip was coming to an end. Sure, she missed her family back home, but the new sights she witnessed left her feeling like she needed to spend her lifetime exploring. It was a tough mix of homesickness and wanderlust, and she found herself a bit reclusive today as she worked such feelings out. Her mother was off arranging for their last ship home, and she decided maybe it would be helpful to purchase a few trinkets for her cousins. What was interesting about Belrea was the use of bronzy metals, something similar to the beads back home but still different.
Maybe she could find something to decorate their dreads, it was always a way for Aishans to separate themselves out, and she figured maybe her cousins would enjoy such things. So, she wandered about looking for the right vendor who might sell them, or be willing to take a commission.

Huaijiu remembered what his brothers liked so he was on a mission to find something to fit their tastes. Being that he was in a completely different territory meant that it would take time for him to figure out where the shops were and what each one sold. So as he looked around he made sure to familiarize himself with the area. Thankfully his good memory gave him something of a mental map. His mount followed along just behind him and Jiu could feel the stares from the Belrean natives. Not many would have seen a Matori beast so he could understand the stares but he didn't like it. The grumpy look on his face only seemed to get worse as he did his best to ignore those he passed by.

Finally, she found a vendor that specialized in metal trinkets, the colors a vibrant bronze that was local to Belrea. Grinning, she quickly made work of the special order, turning rings into dread accessories shouldn't take too long. The merchant guaranteed that it would be done before she left, and that she would have enough to spread out among a few of her cousins and sisters. Passing along almost all that was left of the local currency in her possession, the tall Aishan grinned with glee as she spun around, only just taking note of the commotion.
Tilting her head, her antennae twitched before she realized there was some sort of creature wandering about, a mount from another area of land. Curiosity growing, she casually moved closer to look over the crowd and see what might be happening.

Things were a bit uncomfortable but didn't seem to really bother him until someone went to touch his mount. Huaijiu didn't want to chance the beast getting upset or overwhelmed so he paused and reached out to block the person. Jiu had made sure to not move too quickly as that could be seen as a threat. "Please don't." His deep voice came out in as soft a tone as he was able to manage while still being firm. When he went to start walking again he caught sight on the Aishan as she looked on along with the others. He'd seen a few Aishans before so it wasn't such a shocking thing, but he did hesitate for a second before he gave her a nod of his head in acknowledgement. From there he moved toward the next available shop so he could look. Jiu was slowly making his way closer to where Nayyara was. When he noticed this he would toss her the occasional glance.

She continued to watch in curiosity, her brain connecting the dots to realize it was a Matori beast. She hadn't spent too much time in Matori, quickly passing through what felt like ages ago as she and her mother headed toward Jauhar. Still, the beast was as interesting as it was seemingly dangerous. It reminded her of her mother's mount, something she expected to see back home once the two arrived. The poor thing was a bit too big to travel throughout Tendaji.
As the crowd began to disperse, especially after the rider discoraged any sort of interactions or curiosity, Nayyara was left standing. The vendor behind called out, and she turned after another quick eye contact with Huaijiu, before smiling and nodding as she confirmed the pick-up time.
"Perfect, I will return later today. Thank you."

Oddly enough it looked like he was going to go right past the Aishan - He had as yet to place which tree the woman hailed from due to his limited knowledge. The stall he was after was next to the one it looked like she was finishing up business at. Huaijiu didn't want his mount to cause the woman to think she was in danger so he took a few extra steps to put himself at the head of his beast, positioning himself between the snaptrotter and the woman. However, the crowd didn't seem to want to give way and make a safe path for them, so he was forced to get closer to the Aishan. "Excuse us." HIs head nodded along with his words to show respect. Though since he was so close to the woman he did take the opportunity to get a better look at her coloring and markings. Jiu had to admit that the combination was pleasing to the eye. The harsher colors of the Lightning people was a bit much for him so the softer tones were welcome.

As she finally wrapped up her purchase, she took a step away from the stall and her antennae twitched. The crowd was a bit overwhelming and she shook her head before spinning to look at the beast with a new appreciation. She nodded at the tamer who was walking with it with a bright smile.
"Handsome beast you've got there, unusual for this area." She piped up when they had another bout of eye contact, "And here I thought I was the one getting the most attention, but it seems I've been outshown."

The voice of the Aishan made him pause so that she could have his attention. He might not be the most talkative, as that was a role reserved for his brother, but he did know his manners and looking at someone when they spoke was a sign of respect. The compliment to his mount caused him to hold his hand out to the snaptrotter and gently rub the beasts head. "Thank you." It pleased him to know that his familiar was appreciated. At the mention of the attention he looked around, noting all the looks that were being tossed their way, then looked back at the woman. "You are welcome to keep the attention. I'm not much of a social butterfly." He actually wasn't sure what to do with most attention.

She raised her brow at the comment, before glancing to look at the snaptrotter a bit closer. She had seen a few in her travels, but never really got up close. To be fair, she wasn't following the path of her mother, so she didn't spend too much time admiring mounts that could be rode in battle.
"I can understand. Most places I've went they gave me a bit of room to breath, but here they are so...curious." She glanced around at the open stares that continued, "It seems to be a cultural thing. Probably not the best place to travel if you're looking for some peace and quiet."
