watching the footage from the Jedi temple, Palpatine glared with a snarl at this unforeseen development. ever since the boy, Simon, had reamerged, he felt his grip within the Force start to weaken 'interesting ... can she sense him?' he pondered before hearing a knock and put away the security footage as he put on his mask of the kindly old Chanselor as the door opened to show a strange woman come in being escorted by a couple of troopers "ah ... might i ask what the meaning of this is?" he asked curiously

Palpatine hesitated at the avian-like woman and her words before glancing at the troopers. unlike the Clones, these were his personal Red Guard which meant that he could say what he needed to and word wouldn't reach ... unfavorable ears. waving his hand to allow Xayah some breathing room from the guard, Palpatine remained the guise of an elderly grandfather with the needs of the galaxy in paramount.
