It had been felt further off about 20 minutes ago. A power signature of order. Standing in a parking lot, he slowly lowered the Uber driver back into their car and closed the door.
He waited 3 more minutes to see if it would go away, but it stayed, and seeing as it was a few hours before sunrise, that meant night was still in his favor for cover.
Goal - get there before they met up with whoever they were probably going to see or decide to head back home. He couldn't count how many times he started to head towards a energy signature only to have it vanish a few blocks from getting there. Either they sensed him and decided to bail out of the situation or they just grew bored.
That was a bit of the toss up with so many people were young or unwilling to want to deal with a tussle when they had jobs and appearances to keep up in the morning.
crossing the city was also a little harder when you had to find ways around busier streets and districts, but he eventually got a block's length away to the signature. Wonderful!
Rounding the corner, he looked about, trying to spot them among the city landscape of street signs, parked cars, bus stop booths and garbage bins.

Sadly for her the uniform she wore stood out like a sore thumb, she couldn't really help it, she looked like winter personified somehow. The colors were to her liking and she had shorts on under the skirt, thankfully, she had not liked just having a skirt when she'd just awakened as a knight. She still didn't like how easy she was to spot in a crowd though.
She knew the person was close, right on top of her nearly, she had felt their approach and had stopped and waited in what she'd been doing. She had been planning to go home and crawl into bed but then she'd felt the signature. She hadn't been sure if she should approach or not but they'd been fast moving to close the distance. Now they were here and she called out.
"Came looking for me?" From where she stood Gorner stepped onto into easy view, since the street was empty of people and no moving cars were around to risk being hit by, she might as well make it easier to see her for whoever this Captain was.

The call made it easy. It meant that while they could sense him, they weren't trying to hope and pray that they could hide. If they sensed him sooner, they had ample time to power down and shuffle away from this area.
This one at least was okay with fighting him.
As they stepped fully out, he moved to be out in the road two. A high-noon encounter in the city.
"I am." He answered and looked them over. Ice blue - which knights were that again. Some of them overlapped in colors.
"Which royal planet do you serve, knight?" He asked as he watched them. "I want to say you look very close to a old friend of mine." To which he gritted his teeth.

Looking the officer over she was surprised, very surprised, to note that they looked like they were part youma. She hadn't been aware that it was even possible, to turn into something which wasn't even human, though he still retained enough humanity. It was a very odd concept and a bit uncomfortable even.
"Castor." Came the answer from her, whilst she looked over her own uniform, it should be obvious right? Mercury knights were similar in colors but they got fur and warm clothing. When winter came she froze in this clothing, the one good thing was she now had shorts under the skirt, but it was not clothing meant for the cold of winter. How Castor, the planet, was cold and people were dressed like this was beyond her.
"A senshi? A friend?" She questioned. She didn't know Castor well, having only met him once, but she somehow doubted he would be friends with a Negaverse officer.

Wolframite made a gag with one of his long-claws to his throat.
"I tried to kill him a lot. He tried to kill me a lot. Then there was the time we killed a lot together. It's a bit of a mixed thing we have, but I still wish every day for him to pop up so that I can skewer his head right of that cocky little neck of his." He said, and looked around as if the devil would show himself up at any minute.
"I can't believe his influence is living about in knights like you. To call a joke of a Prince like that your leader would make my skin crawl." It would have been a touch of irony if he had been a Castor knight instead of one for Ganymede.
"Out here to fight the good fight for the lovely Code?" He asked.

"I've only met him once, so I don't call him leader. I don't even know if he's around to do any leading." So he certainly wasn't a leader if he wasn't around to do said leading. "A prince in title alone." And not a leader at all. That was as far as she was concerned. She hadn't come away with too bad an opinion on him but not the best either, seeing as it had been just the one meeting. One would think if he wanted to take his knights under his wing, as he should, that he'd be around more and try and communicate with them. Maybe it was some test, or who knows what, which had him leaving his knights on their own.
"No, I don't fight for anyone, or anything, but myself and my own partner." Who was at home right now. She didn't fight because someone, or something, told her to. She fought for her own future and that of her partners. To put an end to the war so they hcould live in peace, and enjoy all the activities they both wanted to get up to.
That said she had no issue in summonging the vase which served as a weapon, at least a vase being hit over someones head could do damage. But she still didn't see why she didn't get an actual weapon - no sense was made with that.
"Well then, shall we?"

"Well that's at least a reason to fight. So many of you just keep away from the battle - dressed for war but not willing to get bloodied. I always found that so very strange." He shook his head.
"No need to listen to Castor. He's a s**t person and a s**t Prince. I've spent enough time around him and the only thing he has going for him is that he's a cockroach that refuses to die no matter how often you stomp on him. Hopefully your admission to him being gone either means he got bored or dead." He could hope for either, but he did hope he could still kill them one day.
At her weapon, he stared a long time. "Huh. That's something I never thought I'd see - and I've seen a lot of weapons." He licked a few claws as he shrugged.
"Yeah - let's have some fun." And he smiled before rushing in. He needed to get a feel of how she was going to swing that vase and move. How murderous was she .

Was it wrong of her to want to laugh at the Captains words? She knew she didn't wish Castor dead, though she didn't know him well at all, she didn't wish any senshi or knight death. But to hear someone so casually talk about him, someone who knew him, and who just talked the way this one did. It was amusing, she couldn't help it.
The idea that this one had fought Castor, at least she asumed as much, told her he hadn't always been a Captain or he was insane taking on a royal. But how could he have once been a General, at the least, and now he was a Captain? Those were questions for another time and someone else - anyone else.
She could have, and maybe should have, swung the vase at the incoming Captain but instead she went for her magic first. It would, she knew, help with any opening shots she took at the Captain and she could use the boost. Focusing on her magic she poured it out, and around her feet, from the vase. The magic there, around her feet, would give her the boost she needed and that was when she struck out with a fist at the other, the Captain having closed the distance between them. MoonKitsune Heads up warning, I suck with knight magic and writting it. Squire: At this point the vase has gotten bigger, but remains nice and light in weight for Gorner. Now however the vase also allows her magic, finally. Filling the vase now is Gorner's magic and when she pours it out it will form a small puddle under her feet. While she is channeling her magic, for up to thirty seconds, Gorner is stronger physically and her hits will land harder than previously. She has a high chance of hitting a person and causing them to stumble backward.

Hitting a standing figure was good for throwing them back, but when you were running into the fist, that was another story. The resulting hit was enough to send him past her and to the side, head spinning and ears flattening at the swell of pain. Either that puddle had done something, or this woman did boxing outside of uniform. The weight of the punch felt like it belonged to someone twice her size.
Seeing stars, he held his head and tried to regain his senses, stepping back and away to give distance. He had to buy some time to have his vision return. Being pummeled in the head was a quick way to loose the fight.
"Now I get it." He said, glancing at the water that looked like 3 puddles swaying at the moment.
Sleet Tempest Snape No problem. I have issues with it too.

"Oh?" She questioned while turning to fully face the other, ready for when he came at her again. Was he going to come for her again so soon? She had no doubt that he'd taken a good shot to the head; which was well earned in her opinion.
Knowing that her magic was limited, to seconds only, she ended it for now. At least she knew she could call upon it again when she needed it, because so long as she didn't use it all there would still be magic left to use when called on next. It was very different from how senshi magic worked, thought it wasn't a bad thing, she rather liked how her magic worked. She could use it as needed over the course of a fight rather than onyl get a few uses from it she could get many if broken up to short bursts.
"Gonna try that again?" She asked while moving in to close the distance between the two of them. "Or was that enough?"

As they moved, he watched, continuing to keep that distance to pull away from that puddle. If it was a resource they could return to and tap for another attack, then keeping it away from the other was vital. That didn't mean that vase didn't have more, but even that took a moment before they could attack with its affects.
They were shaky at first on their feet as they moved backwards, head hammering from the hit. Remember, you idiot. This isn't like before. You're still a captain.
Eyes darted about to take in the area. Cars. A few city trash cans.
As they drew near, he took a deep breath, flexing his claws, and teleported. Not far, but right behind them. "More please." He answered, and went to slice their arm. That vase had grown larger but still seemed light for the senshi to hold. Maybe just maybe it needed two hands to manipulate. If he could make them a pain to use, slow it down, then it gave him more of a chance.

Teleporting, that was one of the things she hated most about the Negaverse. They could teleport. It made keeping track of them hard, almost impossible, because they could teleport and that could be used as a means to turn the tide in a fight. It wasn't a means of escape, like most might figure it, it was an attack of sorts.
She turned, as fast as she could, but didn't make it in time to avoid the claws to her arm. Her bare arm was bleeding within moments and the burning pain that seemed to radiate up her arm had her fingers twitching in pain. Cursing she gripped the vase, wit hher other hand, tighter as if it might help relieve some of the pain she was feeling.
The blood stained the pale blue fabric of her uniform, something she couldn't care less about, but the pain was what she cared about. Wildly swinging the vase, rather than use it for it's purpose, the knight needed to make an escape safely. She didn't know what had happened to her arm but this wasn't good, it wasn't normal, something was causing this pain and it wasn't the claw marks decorating her arm. No, there was more to it and she needed to wash it out if she could.

The hit landed, but not without the vase connecting again. It stung like any hard vase would, but it didn't feel as if it weighted a ton. Not like how that punch felt like, and he stumbled back and away, moving further and further back and out of reach. Taking these hits was not good, but getting the arm was at least evening out the playing field for him. It was just unfortunate that the vase collided with his shoulder, making it 2 to his 1.
Gripping the shoulder, he knew he was now down to only one weapon and not the two sets of claws. Gritting his teeth, he took a deep breath through them as he stepped further back.
"Didn't think that oversized picture could maneuver that well." He admitted with a grit of his teeth.
"Don't think I caught the name."

"Gorner, and it's not too heavy to swing." It was solid, as you'd expect, but it wasn't the heaviest of thigns. She just hoped that it maintained it's weight if it were to get bigger whenever she became a knight. Because if it got heavy, and bigger, she'd never be able to swing it like she could now. It was akward even now, because it was a vase, but it wasn't too bad.
"And your name?" Since they were exchanging names she might as well ask; right? Even though she knew they'd never do more than fight each other if they ever saw each other again. It was at least good to know who you were fighting, and put a name to a face, it wouldn't hurt to know his name.
Gorner was watching him, even while she looked down at her arm, he wouldn't just leave her like this. She had to be ready for when he came at her again. She just hoped she could be ready...because she couldn't hold out much longer, the pain was intense and the burning wasn't stopping. The burning in her arm was spreading and soon she'd need to turn and leave this fight; not because one more trade of blows. She might nto win, and he might not either, but she would leave him hurting for the night. She too would be hurting tonight. Derrick would need to help her for certain, and she'd have to get him to not worry and calm down.

"Wolframite." He answered, rolling his shoulder and wincing.
"Seems we did each other in a bit." He commented, regarding both of their shoulders. Fighting like this would be rough, and if any one from either side showed, up, that could spell the end for the other. He already teleported once. He couldn't do it again lest he risk not being able to get home.
He rolled something again. Dislocated. He'd need to pop it back into place. Damnit.
"Well this was fun." He commented, regarding the situation. His mind was judging, and while his bloodlust pushed to keep going, he wanted about to come home more banged up than ever. He at least should wait a few weeks for that.
"I'll raincheck on that vase. I feel next time we'll be just as strong as before. Would really like to see what else you get up to. Till then." And with that, he teleported away.
