He was pacing while he awaited the healers. He knew that Vallen and Briska had their time. She was a lovely female, one that understood that the child...or children were to be raised by Isaris and Vallen. Isaris didn't know if he wanted to include her in their lives or would that confuse them. Oh spirits he was nervous.

He was fretful as well but slightly more calm than his mate, after all he could just try again if the last month had not proven fruitful. She was a nice girl, she deserved a good mate and her own children. He was grateful that she was doing this for them and he resolved to send gifts every year around the time of birth if he had been successful. However he also knew they were going to basically disapear off the map and there would be no room in their lives for her. If the children wanted to meet her and ahe agreed when they were older he saw no problem with that. He didnt think she would cause a ruckus.

He looked to his mate. "How long do you think they'll take with her?" he was pacing. "I mean...when we have them...we just...leave...is that okay?" As he paced the male took to playing with his braid. Keeping the tip of it in between his hands as he twirled it around his fingers. A nervous habit of his that he knew Vallen thought was cute. "Yes I think that is expected, but for now lets just see if she is pregnant. I don't think she expects to be in their lives...maybe if they ask when they are prentices, at that point I don't see a problem, but we will be the parents." He by no means wanted to confuse the kids in any way. If they had had the aparatai then they wouldn't have needed a surrogate. "I think that is the point of a surrogate? If she wanted her own kids she could do that."

Isaris nodded as he sat down finally. "Vallen...I love you." he chuckled. "Thankfully she and I look similar." He nodded. It was a fear that he wasn't about to voice that Vallen might of liked trying with a female after all. He knew that if he wanted to attempt it, he would need spirits and liquid encouragement. He had been with Vallen far too long for him to consider anyone else.

"I love you too, and rest assured, you are prettier by far, especially for me." He winked at the mate he idolized. He would die without him he was pretty sure. He certianly wouldn't be pleasant to be around without Isaris to mellow him with a touch or a word. "You look more nervous than I am. Im sure I'm virile enough, if it didn't catch I will try again."

He chuckled as he heard the reassurance. That was a minor relief. He knew Vallen was hot air and recklessness. He blinked when he brought up trying again. He understood they both wanted kids, but it would break him if Vallen did want to be with a female more than him. He jumped at the Healer. Standing again. "Is everything alright?!"

He saw the look on Isaris face. “Try again only to get children love, you are my mate, no one else even holds a candle, you are my sun and rain, my night and day. My everything.” He said all of this in a very firm undertone. He inclined his head to the healer who was watching them with a bemused expression.

He blinked when Vallen confronted his fear. He smiled softly. "I...I mean..." he reached out to grasp Vallen's hand. "I know. To the end of the stars." it was their vow to each other.

“Everything is fine and you are in fact going to be parents.”
The floor heaved like he was on the deck of a ship and Vallen caught Isaris’ shoulder before he fell over. “That is excellent news!”
“And no need to try again now.” He pinched Isaris butt and grinned broadly at the healer. “Thank you sir.”

"Thank you indeed sir." he said as he squeaked when Vallen expressed his joy. "Hey!! Not in front of the healer." he hissed at the other. "Control. I'll give in at the house." He whispered to him.

He gave Isaris a weasely grin. “He knows how these things happen.” That and Vallen had used his own thick thigh to hide the pinch from the other man but Isaris wouldnt have seen that. This was why he didnt do public all that often. He could be dressed ip but not taken anywhere.

The older male chuckled softly as he nodded. "Right then..." he looked to the Healer. "Thank you." he perked up seeing Briska. "Ah, thank you!!! If you need anything Bri. Let us know!!!" He wanted the female taken care of after all. He looked at Vallen. "She knows we're here for her right?"

“Yes dear, she knows.” He had made it plain and he grinned to see his mate so animated and happy. “Hey, you are going to be a dad, what say we go to the bakery and get a cake!” They seldom did off the farm dates and Vallen wanted to spoil him, stuff him full of good food them bring him home so they could both bask in the glory.

"Yes lets!!!" he was excited. They were going to be parents. In nearly a year, however...that was what mattered. They were going to be parents. He would get to hold a baby again. "I can't wait to hold them."
