It was a glorious day in Jauhar. The trees were thick, the radaku were energetic at feeding time. It was a proper peaceful day. He looked forward to breakfast as he had skipped it this morning to feed the fur babies. Sometimes if he was looking for a critter kind of comfort he did that. The radaku pack liked it anyway. He would take them for a nice hunt maybe tomorrow. Today was a designated rest day and he looked forward to spending time with Isaris. Their schedules had been hectic recently but their efforts were going well. Time to relax a bit.

It was finally a restful day for the household. Most of the fur babies were already taken care of by Vallen. While Isaris took care of the flying babies and a few of the water babies. He found himself prepping meals for the day to make things quicker. More time for rest later on in the day if he did this now. Pre-cut the veggies for the non-meat eaters of the fur babies while he diced the meat for the meat eaters. He smiled as he could hear Vallen up and about. He had a quick breakfast for them already warmed and ready.

He strode in and made a b line for the coffee pot that was persistantly perking away. "Gods, I love caffiene." He swung by his mate and kissed him on the cheek after he was holding a steaming cup of joy and energy. He was a nocturnal creature for the most part but the life they led made him a morning critter. Coffee made it better. "Oohhh and food too." He kissed Isaris again for his extra effort.

Isaris chuckled as he returned both kisses. "I know you do, its why I make sure there's always a kettle on." he hummed as he snapped a wooden spoon on the nose of a pup. "Not. Yet." his tone was firm but gentle. He chuckled as the rascal took off for the pack. "Your kids." he teased Vallen all the time that the four legged beasts took after the younger male.

He shrugged unabashed and peered into the pan the pup had been begging from. He was not sure if his own nose might not get booped, but it might be worth the risk to steal a slice fo bacon. Hmmm. He eyed Isaris with mischeif in his eyes. "The apple doesn't fall far from the dog as they say." He grinned and tried to snitch a bacon.

He raised the spoon will full intent on smacking the younger male, but was too late as the bacon was stolen. "You realize we have a limited amount of that till we hit the market?" he chuckled. "I'm not leaving the home today. We have a few things we need to fix up. There's the aviary that has a hole in the siding. The pen out back still has that missing part of the fence. Thus why the pups are inside to avoid them running off."

He wriggled his nose temptingly. "It was worth the risk, the restock will be my treat, not to worry." He grinned. "Its fun when the pups are inside, its pure chaos all day, well so long as they dont get into our bedroom and shred our bed like their do theirs." He had cleaned up his fair share of defluffed bedding out in the pens. "I'll get the tool belt, it makes me feel right manly."

He hummed in thought. "So, plan is we take care of everything while we have the light. Then we rest through the afternoon and night?" he liked that idea. They used the natural light as much as possible to save on supplies. Isaris was personally a fan of their fireplace. "Oh, did you want me to chop some more firewood?"

“Sounds like a good plan to me.” He munched his bacon prize pleased with his cleverness. “Sure I can warm up the old chop n block.” Cutting wood was pensive and rewarding. He loved watching the flames dance, it was one of their favorite things to do watch the fire and chat over warm beverages while the pups played.

The elder shifter laughed. "You leave the firewood to me. You go handle the pen and aviary. Since you like building more than I do." he pointed out as he got their plates to sit for food. "Now, sit down and enjoy this meal with me at least."

He sat immediately with a thump like one of the pups. “Yes please.” He tugged his plate closer and mowed down. He was a bottomless pit. And always would be. “So good!” He loved Isaris’s cooking.
“I do like it when you chop wood and I do like fixing things as well.”

He smiled as he sat with him. Chuckling as he dug in himself. He had set out the food for the pack and other babies before he sat down. Wondering to himself how it was they came to this lifestyle. He felt like the housewife. Which wsa fine...

“How exactly did we get so many critters, one would think we were beast tamers not fighters. Pretty sure we have more than most tamers..” He grinned. He loved them all. He napkined his face off. He usually ate pretty fast and leaned back to enjoy the digestion and sipped his coffee letting the caffiene light him up.

The elder took his time eating a bit. Musing over that thought. "Well, you kept bringing home hunting hounds that got hurt...their former masters didn't want to nurse them back to health. So...we did." Isaris had a hand in that a bit. He didn't mind tending to the wounds. "Soon, we started getting abandoned puppies because we have a theif!!!" he looked at one of their older girls who had a habit of finding abandoned babies and bringing them home.

“By then we couldnt very give them back could we?” He looked over at the female who looked smug, like she knew they were talking about her. “When she was younger it was my underwear.” He smiled remembering his holey drawers. “Then the breeding…”
