The heat had been too much for him while in the barn but Oserys had managed to finish the important chores. Animals had been fed and groomed. However, when it came to moving the hay yet again from one stall to another empty stall for no reason he'd skipped out. He was now convinced that the pointless things he was being told to do were meant to keep him busy and on the farm rather out and about. Since he wasn't too keen of the idea he left the second he could.

Ironically he was taking the same path as when he'd run into Ezili, only this time he had no long grass to pick at. Instead he had an apple that he was busy balancing on the bridge of his nose as he walked. So far he was doing pretty good with it. Of course that meant he was going from being cross eyed to keep an eye on it to looking down to see where he was going. Last he'd looked the pathway was clear so he didn't peek again for some time. He missed hearing someone ask a question but the loud whistle caught his attention. "Dis you lose a pet?" He asked the whistler without looking at them. Oserys was still looking cross eyed at his balancing apple, arms half out to his sides as he took one step at a time.

The voice registered as belonging to Ezili when she got closer to him. Oserys smiled but was still trying to keep the apple balanced. So far he'd done really well in not dropping it. However, as she started to describe her pet, and it sounded an awful lot like him, he lifted his head up. In doing so the apple rolled down and fell toward the ground. He was quick enough to catch it, kind of. He missed with one hand and had to react quickly to get it with the other. With it in hand he looked up at Ezili. "Are you saying I'm your pet?" Oserys had a half smile as he asked the question.

"Pretty sure to be a pet I'd have to stay with you most of the time." At least that was what all his family pets did. They lived with them. "You also don't feed me." He clicked his tongue at her. "Horrible owner. I could starve."

Well at least he wasn't boring. Oserys would hate to be known as the boring kid she'd met once. It made him grin a little. "We did talk about that but you brought it up first. I just agreed to walk on my own rather than be carried again." The boy laughed. She'd proven she could carry him off so he wasn't going to argue. When she pointed out his apple he held it up slightly. "Ah yes, I had to bat my pretty eyes at someone else to get this. So I guess begging is a skill." He'd simply asked his brother for one.

"Both. Though the last chore was pointless again. All the other stuff was done." He nodded his head with a smile.

He thought for a moment before her offered a slow shake of his head. "I don't know, some pets like sweet grass. And lemon grass might not be too bad. Smells zesty."

He gave a nod of his head when she questioned whether or not it was she who brought up kidnapping him first. Of course he ended up laughing when she pretended to be hurt about him batting his eyes at another. "How else was I supposed to get a snack?" He asked innocently with a shrug.

The mention of him advertising himself as a good worker made him shake his head a bit harshly, sending his blond curls flying and messing up more than they already were. "Still didn't do the dusting." Oserys grinned. "All I did was feed and groom the animals." He pointed out. Surely rangers didn't have animals that needed tending to, right? Not like farmers did.

A tilt of his head could be seen as she plucked a bit of grass from the ground. He eyed her a bit but listened to what she said. With a half smirk he leaned forward so that he could look her in the eyes. "Did you want me to bat my eyes at you for food?" He could. Though if she had none to give it wouldn't do much. The leaf she pulled out served as a distraction and he looked down at it with some amusement. "Ah, you found my compass." He remembered their conversation about taking directions from a leaf instead of a flower. He was still up for trying it. It wasn't like it would be too dangerous, right? So he held his hand out to receive the leaf as he straightened up. "I think we have an adventure to start!"

He was glad she agreed that a generous kidnapper would have fed him. Then again, Oserys didn't really consider himself to have been kidnapped. She'd only carried him a few feet before letting him go. And he'd been able to return to his family farm. He visibly paled at the mention of Kinfa. "I'd rather not care for those things.." Apparently the wind boy had some type of aversion or fear to the large birds.

With the leaf handed over to him he grinned and held it up for inspection. He'd gotten a pretty good look to begin with but now that he could see it up close he was impressed. "Good looking leaf." He glanced at Ezili before he twirled it between his fingers slightly. "Okay little leaf.. which way should we start our adventure?" After asking the question he dropped the leaf to the ground and let it flutter about. Whichever way the pointed tip landed was the way they would begin to walk.

He only glanced at her when she started to pick on him for his aversion to the giant birds. Oserys made no comment about the Chiavi. Instead he focused on the leaf. That was what today would be about. Their adventures of taking directions from the leaf. He nodded his head when she mentioned the direction it was pointing. "That way it is."

As she brought up the waterfalls he grinned at her. "Swimming could be fun." He'd not been in a while. It wasn't a really hot day but he figured the water would be refreshing enough. "My owner can swim right?" He jokingly questioned before he bent down to pick the leaf up. Once it was in hand he stood and started to head in the direction it had been pointing.

He gave a nod of his head, his eyes looking at the leaf in his hand as he twirled it once more. I can swim pretty well, don't worry." Oserys glanced toward her and and grinned. "I used to sneak off to go swimming a lot when I was younger."

When the got closer to the trees he didn't seem to be bothered by it, so when she said it was his final chance he had to give her a huge grin. "I'm fine. Are you scared someone will figure out you kidnapped me?" He was pretty sure rangers frowned upon that behavior. The boy tossed the apple into the air and caught it one handed before he took the first steps beyond the trees, almost defiantly. "Seems even my fearless owner is scared of something, huh?" He teased.
