It was less than fifteen minutes after sending the message to Nectaris that Promethei would get a reply from Princess Cybele. Quote: This is Cybele. I hear your husband needs purified?

Promethei was exhausted. While he was feeling a bit better than he was earlier, that was only by a margin, and he had spent the entire night awake staring at a door. He was fairly sure he had been awake for something like thirty hours at this point. When he got a message on the hologram on his ring, he glanced at it absently, before his brows went up. Cybele. That one. The new princess that he had seen ascend to the... Cosmic throne? He had no idea how this s**t worked. "Good news, Ellie," Promethei got up, looking for his wallet. "Your friend followed through." ... When did he go to that conference? stari_magax Cybele, Yes he does. Spent too long in the Negaverse tbh. He's w/me now

Cybele squinted as a literal Seven Eleven receipt appeared in her hands. It was a crumpled one, too. She could read her name scribbled across the top, and something towards the bottom seemed to say yes, but that was about all that she could make out. It would be rude for her to send back a text asking if he had any plain paper to write on, wouldn't it? That was unfortunate, as she didn't think they were gonna get anywhere very fast if she was going to have to try to interpret things like this. It was somehow even worse than Nectaris and her popsicle notes. At least there was a way to bypass any sort of notes that wouldn't come across as rude. Cybele pressed the call button on her phone. "Hello," she said, professional, cheerful. "This is Cybele. Just trying to make sure you don't have to go through all your scrap paper. Can you tell me more about the situation?"

Amasis "Are you really using old receipts?" came a deadpan from the kitchen. "Just take a page out of one of Tobias' notebooks for ******** sake." Promethei rolled his eyes at Diryas' commentary, but slumped off and snatched up one of the notebooks just as a call came through to that ring.. hologram. Ringgram? Whatever. He answered it. Maybe Diryas had been right to tell him to go get something a little more legible than receipt paper-- "Howdy," he replied, before clearing his throat, burying the twang under his words. "Right. Yeah. Captain Ransomite has been in the Negaverse for a few years now? Guess he decided he was finally done with that s**t." And if he hadn't been, well, Zebulon still wasn't going to hesitate. As Diryas had said, love wasn't a free pass to put other people in danger. "Anyway he's in my bathroom."

In a bathroom. All right. That wasn't exactly what Cybele had been expecting, but she could work with it. It was probably easier, actually, since it meant she wasn't going to have to try to track someone down who she couldn't call on her senshi phone. "As long as he's willing to leave, I should be able to purify him fairly easily," she said. Should being the operative word, as she'd never done it before, but she'd watched Ganymede do it a handful of times, including to herself. "The only caveat I have is that we should do it in space. Less chance of it turning into some kind of scene, that way." There was a brief pause while she considered things, and then added, "Did you want to do it tonight?"

"He says he wants to leave." Did Promethei believe him? Well, he believed him enough to call in the reinforcements. He would still believe it when he saw it succeed and Ransomite was wearing a different outfit. But he was leaving either way. Because if he wasn't, he wasn't leaving this house. Space. Zebulon had gone there enough to collect a few trinkets like the ring he was using and figure out that his past life was somehow also a professor--he guessed the intelligence was just in his blood, and Elliot could suck it for calling him conceited for the name. But he still hadn't considered going to space for a purification. "This s**t turns into a scene?" They already had enough scenes in a way. "Fine. Space it is." And if he didn't Purify, he would have nowhere to run and they'd gave an easier place to-- His gut turned, but he ignored it. "We could do tonight. The sooner the better, considering."

"They don't usually turn into scenes," she told him, since really she'd only seen the one, and that had been its own whole situation, "But just in case." He said he wanted to leave. That wasn't exactly a heartfelt response, but Cybele would take it. Her thoughts on the matter were going to a similar direction to Promethei's, himself, not that she knew it. If he turned out to be lying, as long as they were on her world, they could always kill him. She'd have to find a quiet way to do it as to not upset the others, but hopefully it wouldn't come to that. "All right," she told him. "I can't come to your bathroom, though, unless you want the whole Negaverse getting suspicious of your house. Even my Eternal aura is fairly noticeable." She'd be willing to do it if she had to, but if they couldn't safely let him outside, then she was going to be heavily questioning his willingness to leave. "Is there a good place nearby where we could meet up?" A beat passed. Cybele pressed her lips together, considered something, and then added, "And can I invite Nectaris? She went out of her comfort zone to make sure that your husband would be all right. I think she deserves to see the follow through."

So they were going to have to let him out before the formal purification point. He supposed it made sense if they were going to be going to space. He didn't know how much power it took to teleport more than like one person, but he couldn't imagine it would be easy. And they were likely to be five of them. But what would be appropriate? And was he truly happy with letting him out? He was at the point where he didn't think Elliot was actually going to do anything, and if he did Promethei could resolve that, but did he even want to resolve that? "I circled back a bit later, once my boss left, but you were already gone."His words stuck in his mind, and ultimately he buried down his feelings on the whole matter to focus on where they could meet. He drilled down on it for a moment, tossed around thoughts in his head, thought about the concept of finding a grimy back alley, thought about finding one of the thousands of green spaces in Destiny City, but in the end, only one thing was really sticking. "Yeah, sure. I'll send you a location, we can meet nearby there. It's a club, but I know it well. It's secure." Was he picking the locale that meant a lot to the four of them to make a point? Perhaps. Or perhaps it was just to drive home what had been disrupted by the decision to stay in the Negaverse for as long as he did. Perhaps still he might have been doing so to reinforce what the four of them were, and to give something that might stick as a memory even if everything else left. Hard to say. "And Nectaris can come. Sounds like she put a lot of effort into getting him out." There was a part of him that thought it was one of the only right decisions to make. He knew Elliott still trusted him. Diryas and Zebulon had reacted exactly as he could have expected. But having someone who was solidly on his side and not two inches from actually murdering him twelve hours ago would probably be ideal. "So that'll make six of us. Imhotep and our civilian partner Tobias would be tagging on too."

Cybele didn't necessarily go to clubs often, for senshi business or otherwise, but she had no problems with meeting up at one. It wasn't like he was asking her to go to the top of a skyscraper. The fact that he was bringing others did have her blinking, but she didn't let any surprise or concern show through in her voice as she said, "Yes, that should work. I can be there in around an hour." Hopefully her newfound strength would allow her to take that many people up to her asteroid at once, but if it didn't, she could figure something out. They could always have a purification on the dance floor. That would be something. "I'll see you then?"

Good. She agreed to it. It felt like the only right thing to him, and him leaving the Negaverse to return to them, because as Toby said that he didn't have to say goodbye, at the place they all knew so well felt like the only right move. He would have to tell the other two that they couldn't keep Elliot locked up any longer, but that was neither here nor there. They had the princess. "See you then. So long," Promethei agreed with a bit more of that twang slipping out that this was probably over, and they knew exactly what they need to do from here. They would meet the way to purify him out tonight. At the club where they all met for the first time together.
