Strangely, people are surviving with only minor, if any, injuries at all. Being struck can feel like a static shock, or can feel like a sudden flash of heat, and targets are left with a strange lightning mark across their body. Oia was out and looking up at the sky as the sky grew dark, it wasn't odd since there were often storms this time of year so she continued with her patrol thinking nothing of it. She hoped no one was going to get hit, but then again what were the odds of a person being hit by lightning? She shook her head, nah that kind of thing only happened in the movies right? She went to the next building keeping her senses open for trouble that might cause harm to the people having fun at the festival. She would protect them as a knight of the cosmos.

Pax liked storms. And the wet. And the rain. And - anyway, for someone who had a lot of things they distinctly didn't like, they'd always felt incredibly at-home outside during thunderstorms.
Admittedly, having all this hair did make storms a lot less pleasant when they had actual pounds of hair to deal with lugging around when it got wet instead of just... a normal amount of hair... but that wasn't about to stop them. This was probably what braids were for? Not that they had one.
The festival was annoying because it meant people were always out, and always loud, and neither of those were things Pax liked, but they still had a quota, so they'd been hanging around and looking murderously at anyone who tried to make eye contact. Including what's-her-name in the sparkly outfit. Ew? She looked terrible.

Oia gave the corrupt senshi a look as they looked at her with a whole lot of hate, she had her baton in her hand and she glared at them in return if they wanted a fight she was more than willing to give them one. "What are you looking at!!?" She asked with fire in her tone. She wasn't about to back down. She had always been a bit of a hard a**. She didn't need someone else to save her she could save herself. She grinned and nodded to the senshi she could handle this on her own.

"You look - you look terrible," Pax said in the flattest tone possible, and just to get the point across, gave her a thumbs-down. If they'd ever worn that much white they would've looked like a washed-out polaroid, and in their opinion, she wasn't managing too well either.
Star motif? Kind of tacky. Rainbow hair on top of the pastel rainbow outfit? Seriously overdoing it. She had sort of a cosplayer vibe, Pax thought, except for some series they'd never heard of and weren't interested in, and she'd decided to make a casual version of the outfit for... a character who did not exist. Something like that. The point was, they didn't like the outfit, and they didn't like her face or her decision to be in their vicinity.

Oia cocked her eyebrow "You think anyone chooses what their outfit looks like? I'm a page of the cosmos." She gave him a duh look, like what was he thinking? "Did you pick that dark boring outfit this morning?" She rolled her eyes "So are we going to just have a battle of words or are we actually going to fight jerk?" She said her hand on her hip. She excepted them to fight by now rather than this exchange of insults but whatever. "Why are you corrupt anyway? Nah stupid question you are definitely corrupt." She shook her head there was no redeeming this guy. Way too rude and combative, unless that was a sign of being a corrupt, what did being a corrupt mean anyway? She wondered.

"Influence," Pax said, and assumed (perhaps incorrectly) (almost definitely incorrectly)she would extrapolate the full sentence being 'you probably influence your outfit in some way when it's created'. No need to waste all that breath on words. At least their outfit worked with their palette.
Objectively, Pax was not a confrontational person. They were, however, prickly like a porcupine all the way down to their soul and did not enjoy being slighted, and it looked like the same thing a lot of the time.
They took one step towards her, a look of dismissive cruelty on their face, and were promptly struck by lightning.
It didn't even really hurt. It was more confusing than anything. They were left blinking, wide-eyed, pale jagged marks of lightning crawling up from under their collar to their chin and cheek.

Oia wasn't sure she agreed with that but who knew, she kinda liked her outfit so it was possible, then again she wasn't much into rainbows so it was possible they were just an idiot. Oia blinked in the light of the lightning. She hadn't been expecting that nor was she expecting that she would be stuck in the next moment. It stung a little on her arm where she could see a burn. She hurt a little but not as badly as a strike should hurt least she was pretty sure they both should be knocked to the ground and perhaps even killed. She frowned and said "Was that a sign that we are both wrong?" She pondered out loud. Density City was a strange place indeed. Having an argument and get struck by lightning. Well they were both hit did that count as a battle? She shook her head this was so stupid. She sighed to herself.

That was not the end of things if Pax had any say at all in it.
Which they did, kind of, maybe. But they also didn't really want to stick around and posture with some girl who'd seen them just be hit by lightning, and also gotten zapped herself, so instead their hand sped out - tapped her on the shoulder to cast their magic - and Pax immediately started booking it in the other direction, because running was a more interesting prospect for the next two minutes than having her possibly-somehow-maybe punch them through the magic.

Oia didn't even have a chance to fight back since the senshi ran away after attacking her, she went down on her knee and the vibrations rang through her body. Once she was able to move again and she left as well she didn't want to deal with that guy any more.
