The Meteor Shower (3) : It wouldn’t be a star festival without a meteor shower! Right on time, a beautiful array of shooting stars graces the night sky. This time of year is unnaturally clear and it’s incredibly easy to see the stars. Most meteor fragments appear to be little white or yellow lights streaming across the sky, but if you watch closely enough you may find that some of them seem to be a whole rainbow of colors. The scientists have reported that it’s just different components burning up as they enter the atmosphere, but there’s something undeniably magical about it.
Ametkhan has had a lot on her mind lately. She had seriously been considering the possibility of searching for her biological parents. Not that her current parents were lacking in anyway or form. They provided everything and then some for her. It's just that she felt like a piece of her was missing, and without that piece she might never be whole. She had so many questions, and she wanted to find the answers. She thought that if she just found them, she could fill the void she had been feeling for so long. The mention of her past life and her newly acquired Senshi friends set her on this path.
So tonight she decided it was time to let her mind take a brief break. She quickly climbed up the only empty hill she could find. Since this festival was a lot more popular than she had ever realized it was. Perhaps that was because this was her first time attending the event in any capacity. She looked around for the most suitable spot and decided to take a seat under a tree. She wanted to take a moment to appreciate the sights and sounds of the festival. She wanted to take in the wonderful atmosphere, and to feel the joy of being surrounded by so many people while still keeping her distance. She wanted to savor the moment and forget her worries for a while.
With her back to the tree she began to close her eyes, but just at that moment she saw what looked to be a meteor shower! This time of year is unnaturally clear and it’s incredibly easy to see the stars. Making this time the most ideal time to view this amazing sight. She watched in amazement as the stars danced across the night sky, feeling a sense of awe and wonder. She felt like she was in a dream and that all of her worries were melting away. Like the magic of the dancing stars made all her worries and questions disappear as she watched. She smiled, grateful for the gift of this moment.
It was like all the chaos of the world melted away and she was able to just be in the moment. She felt connected and at peace, filled with a sense of joy and contentment. She stayed in this moment until the stars had all disappeared, her worries gone with them. She realized she could wait a little longer to find her biological parents, and that maybe her parents were a blessing for her right now. After all they were at every event, they never missed a birthday, and the amount of I love yous she received was off the charts. She knew she was loved and that was enough. She took a deep breath and smiled, feeling happy and complete. She was content with the family she had. While one day she would want more of an answer, right now she just wanted to end this patrol, and head home. She needed to see her parents right now, and give them the biggest hugs she ever had. She wanted them to know they were enough - more than enough for her.
