Strengite absently hummed to herself as she sashayed down the hall while carrying her folder of papers, her skirt swishing and swirling about her legs. She looked like an office worker with her uniform, if a bit out of date, but there was a glint in her eye, a rather ruthless look. A look like a cat who just caught a bird, it wasn’t dead yet but that was only a matter of time. The cat who had gotten into the cream as the saying went. She was happy and proud of herself. She just had to show Beni the proof of that little accomplishment and maybe just maybe she could pull off a massive score.

She finally reached her destination, a single door. Strengite rapped on the door in a melodic way, not quite following the cliche of ‘shave and a haircut’ knock but not far off. The leggy woman waited until she had permission to enter but almost as soon as she did she came to a stop, shocked at what she saw. “Wow! Just wow! How do you even fit all this in here?” Her entire reason for coming went right out the window as she surveyed the space. It was quite mind boggling.

“But why?” Strengite poked at a plant with her files, still amazed at the sheer number of living things currently situated in Beni’s office. “Why have a damn plant store in your office? Trying to prove you have a green thumb or something?” Personally she didn’t get the appeal of plants, the only reason she tolerates flowers is because they prove that the guy who gives them to her wants something. She would much prefer something with a larger intrinsic value like jewelry or just straight up cash. Flowers? They were just pretty. Useless but pretty.

She moved out of his way, following him into the hall, as he directed them to relocate to someplace less green. “Oh? Do tell! I’m all ears mon général.” Was he up to some plots as well? Now that would be fun. Strengite was quite curious as to what he was up to. “I was just going to share the data I scrounged up for you but now I’m much more intrigued by your little greenhouse you have going.” She grinned at her superior officer as she sashayed behind him.

She just shrugged and made a face, plants were pretty at least and that a good florist could make serious bank on flower heavy holidays. But they were too… intrinsic. They had no real monetary value. Then again, maybe not. Strengite perked her ears up as Beni went on to explain what his little plant monstrosities could do. “Oh really now?” Her grin mirrored his own even as she passed over the file. “Now I can think of a few ways they can be useful. I can even figure out ways to work it into these plans,” She poked at the manila folder now in Beni’s posesion. “Many, many ways they can be useful.” So many ways. So, so many ways.

Strengite was always willing to share her ideas, as long as she got a cut one way or the other. Maybe Beni would take her up on it, it wasn’t like this was the first plan of hers he was helping her with. Returning the favor would be helpful. Besides what helped him ultimately helped her. If only because she got a little gold star in her personnel file. “Aye, Aye, Captain! Sooooo…..” She started to say the opening line of that stupid children’s show before continuing in a normal cadence and voice, “I did a bit more digging on the ideas that came up during the last meeting and here are the results.” That meeting had been quite fruitful so the file was rather gearthy. “I also polished up a few of the more grander ideas so we can pass it up the chain.” And by ‘we’ she meant her, with Beni’s assistance, because if she wasn’t getting any direct payment she at least wanted the credit for pretty much handing the higher officers gift wrapped plans that just needed implementation.

“Nice! See if you can wheel a bigger office out of it too.” Strengite suggested, absently hoping she could snag Beni’s ‘old’ office if that actually happened. Having a space all to herself would be quite nice but she hadn’t been able to get one just yet. Shame really. Since she could have used the room for formulating her plans. Other than having other officers possibly peek at her work there wasn’t anywhere else in the universe that was more secure.

The Captain just grinned, a more smug type of grin then a happy one but a smile nonetheless. If she wasn’t going to get money from some of her plots then she was damn well going to get the credit for it. “Roger that boss man, lead the way.” They had much to discuss. So many little things still needed work before anything could be presented. Hopefully they could cover most of it before he had to go off to do ‘General’ stuff.

Maybe they could go grab a drink after! She would never turn down free drinks. Especially if she could add to her quota while enjoying said free drinks.

“Boo.” Strengite vocalized her opinion on the thought of no larger office before shrugging, “Eh, guess it is what it is.” Ultimately it didn’t matter to her if he got a bigger office, other than the very minor chance she could swoop in and snag his current spot. That chance was so minor that it might as well be impossible. Ah well. On to things she cared much more about… Herself!

“Great, so here is the jist of things-” Her voice trailed off as she closed the door of the small room, leaving an empty hall and an office full of greenery behind them.
