The rain started coming down in sheets as Aoede walked with her umbrella down some of the alleys by the bar crawl that was occurring tonight. Every time she bumped into someone, she would siphon off just the tiniest bit she could without having them notice her. The bigger the crowd the less questions came up if you were nudged or bumped by someone. Her small stature beneath the umbrella also helped keep her mostly out of sight.
It was a productive night given all the drunks and partygoers that flooded the streets despite the horrid weather. The small blob of energy in her hand was getting close to what she wanted to gather for the night. Tucking it into subspace, she popped off the crowded area to rest for a minute. There were energy signatures of all types around but she still was figuring out how to tell the distance of them. It took a lot of focus for her to get a feel for it but as she stood there she could tell someone from Order was nearby and they were stronger than her.
She was worn out already from the draining she had done as well as running around in heels in the rain. Carefully turning on the text app, she threw her phone into subspace and hope that she could speed text someone to get her out if she needed it. First she would try and sus out her chances on her own.

It was both a busy night and a wet one, it seemed. Plenty of people were braving the rain for a bar crawl, and Izanami had decided that it would probably be best if she was out there, too. A pretty umbrella decorated with cherry blossoms was swung over her shoulder, and she wove through the crowd, eyes open for Negaverse or Dark Mirror miscreants out to harass the people who jsut wanted to have a good time.
She was, in truth, sacrificing a nice evening indoors playing Jack Jeanne, but the newest otome release could wait for her duty to the entire universe. Or something. Honestly, sometimes she just wished she had more time in the day, in order to do anything else at all, but work and law school ate up so much and she had to squeeze in hobbies between that and being a magical warrior, and....well.
Fun just fell by the wayside. Oh well.
She could feel other auras nearby, and one was distinctly close and distinctly a corrupted Senshi. Which meant she needed to be on the lookout for--there, away from the crowd. Overly long hair, and she swore that for a brief moment, she caught a glimpse of forehead cracks. Not that she could say much, with hers falling so low, but she had a suspicion that this was her target, especially with the woman clearly trying to hide under her umbrella.
"Hello there," she said, as she strode forward. She knew she had to sound threatening--good. "Up to no good, Negaverse scum?"
Aoede looked up at the taller woman as they approached. The hair threw her off for a moment because she thought that it was a trait of other Negaverse senshi like herself. She sounded like she was trying to be intimidating but the use of the word scum made her almost laugh. Were they just another order member who was all talk like that little knight from the other day?
"Hello there," she replied as she waved a little greeting. "No matter what I say I doubt you'd believe me?" Behind her scarf, she was smiling a little bit. "You look a bit like one of us with all that hair, you know?" Leaning forward a bit she looked up at the woman to try and get a good look at her attire and face. No matter what happened, she would try to make one of those reports later.

Ah. Sass. Izanami couldn't help but find the sass deeply annoying. But at least she'd guessed correctly, and actually found the Negaverse Senshi she'd known was here somewhere.
"It's possible that you and I have very different definitions of up to no good," Izanami acknowledged, "but mine includes most everything I could imagine you being out here, powered up, in this weather, to do."
It was a good thing that regardless of weather conditions, her magic worked perfectly, because otherwise this rain might have been more than an annoying hindrance. As it was, she only needed one hand to use her magic, and so she could adjust her umbrella casually, and keep herself from getting rained on.
"Fortunately, long hair doesn't make me one of you," she said, "and I never intend to become one of the Negaverse's pet monsters. Cremation Pyre."
Quote:
Izanami holds a hand up in front of her face and speaks the name of her attack, and blue fire ignites around her hand. She then gestures at one target, and the target appears to be engulfed in blue flames. The target will feel as if they are being cremated from the inside out, with a sensation of pain akin to second degree burns over the entire body. The fires last for 35 seconds, but at player discretion, lessened pain can linger after the end of the attack, and the target can be left with moderate burns. Anyone who touches the target will experience the same burning pain on whatever part of their body came in contact with the target, but not the possibility of damage. Izanami can use this magic twice per battle.
Aoede had been right at least that this woman was already a threat because a moment later she felt a blistering heat radiating throughout her body. Flames had engulfed her and the first two things she could think of were to drop her umbrella and quickly try doing what she could to quash them. Nothing would put it out though and the flames burned and burned against the downpour.
It hurt and it hurt bad, this was the first time she had actually felt some sort of fear from an order senshi. Was she going to burn all the way up if the flames didn’t go out. If this was how it was going to go then she would try her own magic and hope that it would obey her or even work a bit better than normal. She reached out and coughed the name of her attack weakly before screaming into that same invisible mic that she always had when using her magic.
She was gonna make this b***h’s ears bleed if she could.

Sailor Scout Attack: Screaming Cacophony
Aoede holds her hands in front of her like she is holding a microphone and speaks the name of the attack before screaming into the imaginary mic. Everyone within 10 feet of her hears a cacophony of noises ranging from car alarms to screeching and yowling cats. It can leave ears ringing or cause slight disorientation. The noise only last for 30 seconds and it can be avoided by getting out of range. 3 times per battle

Good. Her magic was working. Izanami knew she shouldn't take glee in other people's suffering, and mostly she didn't, but there was a vicious part of her, right at her core, that did. That was glad that she'd shut up this smug Negaverse brat.
Unfortunately, she had not been prepared for the backlash.
The sounds all around her seemed magnified a thousandfold, a cacophony of city noises, birds screeching and thunder crashing and cars screeching and somewhere, an alarm, and--
Izanami slammed her hands over her ears, umbrella slipping from her fingers and to the ground.
She had to get away. Had to get somewhere quiet--
Her umbrella was left on the ground as she leapt for the nearest roof, hoping that if she put some distance between herself and the Corrupt, the sound might die and she might be able to think again.
Aoede saw the senshi leave but the flames kept burning. In desperation she pulled her cell out and hit the location button to ping it to her brother with the shortest message she could manage, Tele me.
Tucking it back away she felt the flames burning more and more, her skin under her uniform was burning now and each second seemed to go on for an eternity. Eventually, the flames ceased and the cool rain coming down seemed like a mercy. Closing her eyes as she cried from the pain, she felt herself being pulled away as she started to fall to the ground. Everything went black.
