Iorhel 1
Her parents were away on a mission that needed all three of them, this was quite rare and she was bored. The pirate ish ship Sea Wasp was in their cove. As a family business it was allowed to anchor there. She snuck away from her minders using skills her parents had taught her and swam out to meet the ship. She found a lowered ladder and climbed right up. It was likely for those that fancied a nice swim in the water during the heat of the day. Her feet thumped to the deck and she looked eagerly about her.

A sound pulled him out of th his stupor, scrubbing the deck until it gleamed. Captain was away securing supplies and visiting family. Some beast cargo was to go to a different port that they were heading to anyway so Kechi had agreed to carry it there, it would save everyone shipping cost. Looking over he was surprised to see a youngling standing on deck. “Hey what are you doing here?”

The ruckus alerted him and familiarish forehead crystals let him know the lineage of the young one. He called to his neighbor, “Tathy is that a new ish relative of yours? Why is she here do you think? Kechi would not have bent the youngling rule eh? I thought it was only prentices allowed on board.?” He distinctly remembered that rule.

“Huh?” he looked up and glanced around. “Oh, Iorhel, no, she must have snuck aboard. Our babysitter must not have a high enough level to keep tabs on her. She learned from the best unfortunately.” Chip off the old block she was nearly as adventurous as he and his brothers. Though this was mildly safer than flying off on the back of a beast. Did he feel pride?
“Iorhel you shouldn’t be here.”

“So what? It is not everyday that a pirate ship stops in your bavkyard and the parents are out. It was a golden opportunity. “Besides I knew my cousin would be here to protect me.” She shrugged nonchalantly. “Whatever.” She was heading into the difficult years. She looked forward to it. Though she did wish her sister had been able to come too.

What a brat she was already, should be most interesting as a prentice and hopefully corrected before she became an adult, not even his own sister had been this spicey. He couldn't believe this had come out of anyone who lived on the same ranch that Kechi and Tathy did. He shook his head disaprovingly.

They would have to do something about her before the captain got back. Who knew how she would react to a stow aboard, even one close to the family. Kechiri could be quite tempermental. Must have gotten it from her Father. He hid a smirk, they had a playful slightly pokey relationship where they enjoyed teasing each other.

"Iorhel," he said warmly, sometimes his cousin needed reminders fo her age and actual capabilities as would any good warrior. "Kechiri will not be happy with your behavior, remember how scary she can be, or perhaps you just haven't seen it yet but believe us it is pretty darn scary. She even spooks me and my brothers sometimes...she lurks too where you least expect it." Who knew how long she would be gone.

She loved Tathy so much right now, he understood her need for adventure. "Very well cousin do lead on if you would." She was getting a tour darn it. She smiled cooly. This was the most spontaneous thing she had ever done. She loved the salt spray on her face and her hair and the horizon that faded into the distance.

Great babysitting duty. This was not in his job description and he could get in trouble just as easily as the rest of them and he didn't have the benefit of being related. Even friends previous to signing on counted and he hadn't known anyone. That left him quite vulnerable. That and kids were not his forte.

He sighed and begrudginly began the tour. He wondered if the children from the other female parent would be better or worse than this one. Iorhel's sister looked the most like her mother. This one was a haughty version of her Dad for the most part. Even in build she took after her Dad.
"Come this way." The sooner they started the sooner the madness would end.

He smiled seeing Kellye take up the torch. Atta boy. The new kid Amathrag looked like this whole thing was pure torture. Tathy was not afraid of death or torture or being fired. He had all but been conscripted for this voyage. It was do the tour or turn her in to the captain and he couldn't break this kind of courage, not when it might be needed in days to come. He trailed after, tugging on Iorhel's hair like an older brother. "Cousin, cousin, cousin."

She admired the intricate sea serpent theme woodwork on the bridge. The whole ship was stiking and detailed and painted brightly on the hull. Sometimes knowing that there was someone not afraid of you was deterrent enough for pirates. She was apparently also very fast. Ior thought it was one of the coolest ships ever. She had always loved boats. She let the tour continue, nodding at appropriate intervals and drinking it all in with her eyes.

He was bored, bu upon lookin gup he felt like he wouldn't be bored for long. "Captains back!" He hissed at them. Everyone including himself scattered to less obvious hiding spots. The Sea Wasp wasn't that big of a ship being a fast sloop, the perfect design for fighting pirates but a draw back when you were trying to hide on board. They utilized supply boxes and stuff that were being loaded.

"In for a dime, in for a dollar. Lets speed this up." He hissed and grabbed Iorhel by the hand, moving counter to their as of yet oblivious captain. The rest of the crew was uninterested in their drama. They wouldn't be getting in trouble.
He held Iorhel close and checking on the position of Kechi again, he switched positions. He had to admit this was kind of fun.
