The lights in the arena go out, plunging the crowd into darkness. There is a slow beat that seeps from the speakers. As the main music of The Devil's Rejects hits the speakers, red lights turn on focusing on the stage. Standing in the center of it is a figure wearing a long hooded coat. Despite his face being hidden, the crowd knows that shadow of a man. They know the hulking shape. Rex Kobra is back. He stands for a moment on the stage, staring at the ring. He quickly throws his arms up and out to his sides, prompting a burst of flames to erupt on either side of him. As the flames die down, the rest of the lights turn on all red as well, bathing the entire arena in a reddish glow.



Rex starts down the ramp. His attention never drifting away from the ring. All the unwashed masses around him don't deserve his attention. Not yet. Not until the get to see him drag his first victim to the dark. Once Cyrus has been pulled closer to the serpent's embrace, then maybe the crowd would be a little worthy of his attention. At the very least, they'd be worthy of his scorn. Now? Now, all they deserved was apathy.



Rex stops at the end of end of the ramp, and raises his arms to his sides. He can feel the power of the ring. His cathedral to drag people to new found faith. Lowering his arms, he makes his way to the steps and stomps up them. At the top, he moves to the middle of the apron and climbs into the ring by stepping over the top rope. In the ring, he moves to the center and drops to his knees. He then lowers his hood. He stares ahead of him, not focusing his gaze on the crowd but instead of the reddish glow of the lights. The red that will fuel him through the match to come.



Rex stands, removes his coat, and drapes it on one of the ring posts as his music dies before looking to the ramp and waiting for Cyrus.

Ding-ding-ding

As soon as the bell rang, Rex moved to Cyrus and would attempt to deliver a solid kick to the gut in an attempt to start the match off as violently as possible.

If successful, he would immediately attempt to deliver a strong clubbing blow to Cyrus's back as he was doubled over.

Rex was surprised as his foot was caught. He wasn't expecting that. He had hoped and thought to show up to the match and dominate. But he had underestimated his victim and so he was caught and before he could formulate a plan to deal with that, his more agile prey took him down to the mat. It was an inconvenience but he could only hope it would prove to be a minor one.

The boot connected again and again and again. The kicks were painful but there was a sort of bliss in that pain. A reminder of what happens when you allow hubris to dictate your actions. As the Lion kicked at his leg, Kobra laughed at the lesson The Serpent was teaching him by allowing him to falter in this moment.

Kobra's leg was released. His opponent sought to stomp on his body. Kobra welcomed the blows with more laughter.

"Yes. Kick me while I'm down, show me what a warrior you are, Tamed Kitten." he said through laughs and coughs.

Kobra knew that if he got into his opponents head by taunts and reveling in his own torment that eventually Cyrus would make a mistake.

After no response from Rex, Cyrus would swing a kick aimed for the man's face. If that connected he look to pull Rex back to his feet, looking to whip him into a corner.

The Lion's plan of attack was squashed as Rex countered, whipping Cyrus into the opposite corner!
