Ondine wasn't really calming down. At least not in the sense her parents desired. In fact, one might consider her a bit estranged from her family, considering the type of crowd she was beginning to associate with. It started off initially with the street brawls, before she was invited to a bare boxing ring. That eventually caught the attention of the darker side of town where she was occasionally paid as an enforcer. It was a bit ironic, considering the times they needed her help she'd stand out like a thumb, but eventually they dragged her along during the day where she made quite a bit more sense.
It was always funny how the big men who resisted paying back their loans would underestimate her, until she knocked their asses on the ground.

They had made good progress out of Jauhar, and now they were near the border and taking a small break. From what she had learned, Tale was a bit of a unique space, with long empty plains between nests of settlements. She was quite excited to witness it, the new landscape so different than the others before. That was probably the best part of this whole trip, beside the reconnection with 'her roots'.
Just being able to witness the sights, smells, and culture always had Nayyara grateful she was able to make such a trip, and sad that it was slowly coming to an end.

The evening was just beginning to settle in, and Ondine was sitting on a bench in the small town reviewing her marks for the week. She wouldn't track down all of them, but she knew she had to keep herself active if she wanted to get this done and get back to her fights.
A low chuckle left her lips as she saw a familiar face in her list, and she shook her head in amusement. This one would be easy, often they were but him especially. They were almost friends with how often they crossed paths, and she assumed he would simply pay his dues and be on his way. Maybe she'd treat him to a pint if he played nice this time.

Somehow she had made a wrong turn in this small Earthling settlement, and with the sun lower in the sky she felt a twitch of uncertainty. She really shouldn't linger after dark, though surely these Earthlings were intimidated enough...yet she had heard from other travelers the risk of being targeted by the unsavory folk.
Glancing about, she caught sight of a muscular hybrid and decided it might be safe enough to inquire about where the inn was.
"Hello." She called out cheerfully, moving close enough to be within line of sight.
