Sinistra could not say it had ever left her mind, what happened that evening with that poor DMS Super that had been gathering energy. But she also could not say it was in the forefront of her mind. Vaguely, she recalled the guilt of the night, and thinking, for some reason, she needed to plant a baby tree to make up for the karmic impact the whole thing had landed.

That tree, the one Melpomene had been resting in while he was gathering his energy, had gotten a pretty ruthless kick from the easily agitated Deep Space Senshi. Of course, it had taken no damage and was likely existing as it always had. That did not alleviate the miserable guilt she was still feeling in the back of her mind.

Tonight, she had left Wezen at home. The Deep Space Senshi was tired of patrolling, and though she had recently met Camelot and the whole thing had been a very fun and lovely time, Wezen was just as dour as always once she was alone. Sinistra accepted that as just her nature, but it was still sad to see. She did not push, wanting the alien to figure out her new Earthen roles on her own, but she hoped Wezen would perk up soon.

Whatever had happened to her on her planet, for her entire life, it must have been horrible. Sinistra did not know how to ask about that, and thus had not even tried.

So tonight, Sinistra was patrolling on her own. It almost felt strange, walking along on her own, when before she had always done her patrols alone. She was just so used to keeping her DSS nearby, it almost felt wrong to not have her there now. Still, it was better this way. She did not want Wezen to feel entirely dependent on her, nor did she want to chain herself to one focus. She still had her own goals, wanting to get stronger and all that.

And, though she tried not to think on it too hard, she wanted to make up for all the trouble Wezen caused when they were together. She could only do that if she was alone, and incredibly lucky.

Finally, tonight, luck seemed to be on her side. She felt the slight pull of an aura nearby, and she almost felt like she had experienced it before. She was not sure who it was just yet, but she moved toward it just the same.

Tonight was an easy night for him, he'd already handled some energy gathering, and was moving across the college campus towards the bars that lined on of the streets surrounding the campus. He'd decided to grab neergy from those who lookedl ike they needed a sleep, they were sleeping around the campus library right now, as they'd been wearing themselves out with studying. He could only hope the sleep some needed would be a good thing, and appreciated, but they had looked so damn tired. He'd powered up outside the library windows and sent his wraiths in to work their magic.

Now though he was headed across campus towards the cars just to see what was happening. He might just run into someone he knew, not likely though, but he was certain to see some interesting things going on no doubt. What he wasn't expecting was to pick up on a super senshi's signature. Well hopefully they didn't come for him, he wasn't up for a fight tonight, though he could handle himself he wasn't interested in it. He sort of wanted a good laugh at the expense of a few drunk college kids...like he wasn't a college kid himself...but he wasn't the sort to get drunk and act like a fool.

Sinistra had almost forgotten she was a student still. True, she likely would be one of those 'career' students, who made a life out of research and study, but she still needed to keep up with her work just like anyone else. It was just difficult to do, with all her new responsibilities.

Most of them stemming from one source, of course. She had never had to keep someone alive before, and even if Wezen did not require all the food and attention a 'regular' human did, it was still more than she was used to. And she worried so much for the other, over thinking everything and seeing all the trouble Wezen could get into even before she got into it.

Being a roommate and care taker was exhausting.

A tingle in the corner of her senses told her there was something not quite White Moon nearby. She moved toward it, keeping her guard up but hoping against hope that she would not run into a fight or any sort of trouble. She had enough on her plate already, and though she was still patrolling she was doing her best to stay out of fights.

She got close to the aura, and blinked in wonder at the source she actually recognized. He had a complicated name. she was very thankful it came back to her, anyway.

"Ah, Mr. Melpomene!"

A complicated name which most people shortened but apparently not the person calling out to him, as he turned to see someone adressing him and approaching. Raising a hand he smiled, he did remember this senshi, she'd had that very tall friend with her. Looking around, almost worried about said friend turning up he saw no one else - good. Letting out a breath of air he nodded his head.

"It's good to see you, it means you made it home well that night." He spoke, making sure she could hear him as he rasied his voice just enough. Last he'd seen this sensh ishe'd been caught up in her friends arms and her feet off the ground, he really had feltg bad leavin gher like that. At least he knew she'd made it home alright, though he really didn't doubt it.

"What brings you out tonight...and alone?" Was she out hunting for people like himself or youma perhaps, they were easier and safer to deal with. He did prefer dealing with them than other people as they were fairly simple minded and easy to destroy. He also didn't feel so bad about fighting them.

"I didn't get your name last time we ran into each other."

She did not miss the way he glanced around, and could hardly blame him for being nervous. No, Wezen had not come out with her tonight, which was a bit of a break not only for the alien herself, but her roommate. And pretty much anyone she met on the street, though most would not know the trouble they avoided.

She was trying, the poor thing, but there was still a lot to learn.

"Ah, well. I showed Wezen some things on a streaming service, and she wanted to continue with the show she was on... I haven't seen her so quiet and focused before, so I didn't have the heart to drag her away from it. And maybe she needs a night in, anyway. All that chaos chasing..."

She did not think it was healthy, really, the way Wezen hated Chaos so purely. But what did she know? Maybe that was just how things were done where Wezen was from, and it was a hard habit to break. She did not speak too much about her planet, though Sinistra had the basics down. It sounded like a terrible place anyway.

She was blushing furiously already, just remembering the last time she had run into this poor Dark Mirror.

"Ah, yes, I'm so sorry for all that. I've felt terrible ever since, and I was hoping to run into you again just to apologize. My name is Sinistra, Senshi of Brooms, and she is Wezen, Deep Space Senshi of Haunting." It only felt right to be honest, as Sinistra felt a very deep sense of debt at this point. How could she make up for her friend attacking him after he had agreed to stop draining energy that night? She bowed her head and upper body slightly, eyes tightly shut, in apology.

"She seemed different in behavior, and you talk about her like she's a child or similar." Which really made no sense to him. She wasn't some chibi senshi, which he'd heard of but not yhet encountered, he really didn't want to run into some child senshi and have to deal with them. Melpomene wasn't sure how he'd deal with a child senshi; especially if they wanted to fight. It wasn't something he could do.

"I told you that night it's fine, something was obviously off that night." And from the sound of it was still of, something he didn't understand, because it sounded like that senshi was rather childlike. Childlike and impulsive and acted, and spoke, without much thought on things. "What do you mean when yhou say deep space? If that a new faction?" If there was some new faction in this war it miught be good to know, why had he not gotten the memo on this?

"I suppose that sphere explains her magic...good to know for the future." Though he had no intentions of running into her again, or her magic.

"Not a child, really. She's about my age, though she's... been 'alive' much longer, I think. It's hard to really understand, and she does not talk about it all that clearly. But she's from another planet, and she's just learning about things here on Earth. About humans, and the battles and factions in the city."

Sinistra sighed, shaking her head and looking miserable. She felt very responsible for Wezen, wanting her to be happy and well informed, and also for the results of Wezen's actions. It was like whenever the Senshi of Haunting did something dangerous or bad, Sinistra took personal responsibility for it. Even if it was all but impossible to completely control the alien, and she did not really want to do that either.

It was a difficult place to be in, though she had no intention of casting Wezen out. That would just be even worse, for everyone.

"I'm not really sure of the details behind it all. She just says she showed up here, and that's all there is to it. She doesn't speak of her planet much, but I don't think it was a very nice place. She believes they were all dead, or just... she didn't know what being 'alive' was, in a way. That's why she reacts so strongly to everything: I don't think she ever got the chance to before."

She straightened up at last, watching the Dark Mirror carefully. Should she be telling him about all of this? He had been kind enough to her, and he did not seem like a violent kind of person: Camelot told her to trust carefully, and that was what she was choosing to do. Follow the good she felt in people.

"I really don't think she meant any of it, like, personally. She seems to stop thinking when it comes to Chaos."

"So she's not like everyone else here? I mean like the other senshi, like us, and everyone else?" Where they'd been reborn here and were senshi - but they'd been born here and grown up on Earth. He knew he was different from other senshi, from ones like Sinistra, by being a dark mirror senshi. But he was still a reborn senshi who grew up here on Earth. "So she's an alien...?" That explained things, it really did, different culture and the all that. He knew Sinistra had confirmed that already but it still a shocking thing to take in, an alien on Earth and trying to fit in. He could understand now when Sinistra had been trying to stop the other, the alien didn't understand things here, Sinistra had been looking out for her.

He'd heard that senshi homes worlds were destroyed and dead and such but surely not all of them, the odds were against that really. So was her homeworld still alive and not? If it was dead how had she survived and made it here? Unless that had been a recent thing but again - why here?

"I think, given what you have said, it's understandable. Assuming everyone is dead, because she thinks they are, means she's been alone for some time. That can do things to people, mentally, add in the lack of knowing what killed everyone poetentially. I get it. She just needs to avoid chaos and eventually find out that most of my court is neutral in things. We're not going to be getting involved in things." Not really, and in part that was due to them being such a small faction. They couldn't afford to go making enimies with either side much less both sides. They'd get wrecked.

"Well, she is the senshi of her world, but no. She's not like us. She was living on that planet until just recently, when she was brought to earth, but the planet is dead. Consumed by Chaos," Sinistra said, thinking back to her stilted conversations with Wezen to make sure her mental notes were correct. She prided herself on her status as a good student, and being able to take good notes.

Studying had never been hard for her, and it was something she actually enjoyed doing. Being able to use that a bit now, to bend her scholarly attentions toward maybe finding a way to help Wezen and to teach her everything she could about earth, was actually very fulfilling for her.

It was fun, in a way. Stressful in many others.

"I'll do a better job of explaining what the different teams are, so she knows not to just attack anyone. I've already explained about power levels, and how dangerous it could be if she attacks someone stronger than her, but she does not seem to retain that lesson well. Or she's choosing to ignore it," Sinistra tried not to think the worst of people, of course, but Wezen was particularly stubborn about some things.

"Honestly, again, I really am sorry about the way she treated you. And that tree! She'll make it up to you next time, if you ever meet again. Though I understand just staying away from her. Anyway, you've been very patient and very kind, and I appreciate it."

"So it's been consumed by chaos. That might be why she didn't like me without knowing anything about me. She sensed chaos, which we are, and went for me without a thought." That did make sense then and she would be someone to keep away from his court, perhaps he should warn his court when he could. Yes, letting them know might be a good idea. Cause while they had a good relation with order, and the Negaverse, typically this one didn't know that and wouldn't care either.

"It's fine, again you don't need to apologize. And the more you've spoken the more I understand things. I think whatever happened has her set against chaos - of any sort. I don't think she's thinking but rather acting on whatever feelings, and perhaps memories, are tied into chaos." Which made her a risk to herself and others around her, but he doubted he needed to mention that here.

"Like I said the dark mirror isn't set against order or the Negaverse. We're more neutral and I'm not looking to fight, not really, so I don't mind listening. Ayway, if you don't mind I do have a bit of energy draining to do. I don't plan to harm anyone but the energy is needed to keep mirrorspace stable." And that was needed so they had a safe place to go, and a means to travel since they didn't teleport. "If you don't mind." Nodding his head with a smile.

FIN

Sinistra chuckled, finally looking relieved. It was like a weight off her shoulders, knowing the other did not hold it against Wezen. Her behavior was bad, but Sinistra knew she was learning, and she was also trying her best. She just had a lot to take in, and it was all far more complicated than anyone who had just grown up on this planet really could understand.

Even Sinistra found some of the things Wezen found confusing to be very strange and difficult to explain. Things she had just never had to think about or explain to anyone before, because they were pretty much consistent for everyone living in Destiny City. Or anywhere, she imagined. Earth stuff.

Not Wezen stuff.

"Of course, I'm sorry. I will uhm. I'll just go do something else. I'm sure you won't hurt anyone... and there are probably Negaverse soldiers I should actually be stopping right now." While it was a moral grey area, picking and choosing who could drain energy and why, Sinistra felt like this was one of those compromises Camelot warned her would often appear. "Have a good night, and I hope to meet you again! I'll make sure Wezen is on her best behavior, too."

She looked nervous about that promise, then offered a helpless shrug before turning and hurrying off. She did want to check in on her alien roommate, just to make sure she was still enjoying her show and had not snuck out or gotten into any other trouble while her back was turned.
