Tonight he was out on his own, he had wante da bit of time on his own, to gather energy from those unsuspecting civlians of the city. His wraiths were out doing what they did best - gather energy. While they did their job Melpomene was up in a tree watching, the tree branches and foliage providing a nice amount of cover, it was so far going well. They weren't taking much energy from each person hanging outside the bar across the street, just enough that it added up. He didn't need to be caught, or have his wraiths seen, that would be bad.

He also didn't want to take too much from a single person and leave them unable to defend themselves should they need it. He cared a bit too much about the civilians and there well being, at least some would say he did, but he thought it was only right to care about them. He needed something from them but he didn't need to wreck them to get it...so why should he drain them to unconsiousness?

Shifting in the branch to get comfortable, it wasn't exactly a nice place to be sitting, he pushed some leaves out of his face so he could see and keep an eye on things progressing.

"You did very well tonight," Sinistra was saying, as she walked beside her new, though now mostly settled, roommate. It was strange, having an alien in the house, but it also made it seem a lot less lonely and empty. She had never noticed how quite it had been, until it was no longer quiet and she was always chasing after her new friend just to keep her from accidentally killing herself, lighting the house on fire, or blowing something up.

Wezen, as she grew more used to the idea of 'life' as a thing she got to do, was growing more and more adventurous and curious. With that came a whole lot of risk taking, exploration, and testing things in the most direct and dangerous ways she could manage while maintain an honest, almost strict innocence. It made it impossible for Sinistra to ever be mad at her, but it was also a constant struggle to keep up with her and keep her safe.

Tonight, though, Wezen had not done anything completely sudden, like running into traffic, which warranted a pat on the back. As Wezen was still learning to enjoy direct contact with other living beings, it was actual a literal, though gentle, pat. Wezen bristled at first, then relaxed and seemed to light up as she looked at Sinistra.

As much as someone who physically did not know how to smile could light up, anyway.

"A bit boring," she pointed out, which made Sinistra sigh. She paused, though, sensing a darker aura nearby and waving her hand in the other direction.

"I think we should go this way: that feels pretty strong, and I don't think we-"

Wezen was half way across the road at a run, a car screeching to a stop to keep from hitting her as she darted away. Sinistra let out a cry of dismay, thinking she would have to take away that shoulder pat now, but chased after the alien once the car had moved on.

Under the tree, Wezen stared up at the human sitting in it, a deep frown settling on her pale face. She kicked the tree soundly, making the branches shake a bit. "What are you doing?"

He'd sensed the incoming auras but hadn't thought much of it, why would they come for him? Not just because he was a dark mirror, which were fairly neutral, but why come after a super senshi? Only one of them was super themselves. Though he supposed the two against one, even if one was weaker, thing played into this.

Looking down as the tree was kicked, and branches shook, he stared for a moment. "I'm gathering energy. Why are you kicking a tree, I doubt it's done anything to deserve being kicked." As if a tree could do anything more than remain in place, in soil, and grow. A really boring life trees had, although he supposed they didn't much care since they weren't sentient and couldn't care.

"Why are you here?" He questioned from his perch, pulling his legs up closer to himself and pressing back to the trunk of the tree for some better balance. When he wasn't being so well hidden by dense branches and leaves he was easy to see, the colors of his uniform standing out brightly.

Sinistra skidded to a stop next to Wezen, grabbing her shoulder and pulling her back from the tree. Not a violent type by nature, Sinistra was slow to pick a fight and only used actual violence when she absolutely had to. She had been trained by a Knight and a Royal Knight, so she knew enough to be able to defend herself admirably at this point, but she really did not like to.

She hated being rude and, no matter how she tried to justify it, punching someone that was just sitting in a tree was definitely rude. She was glad that she stopped Wezen from going further than just kicking the tree.

Wezen ignored her, pink eyes fixed on the figure in the tree. Sensing dark auras, though this one was new to her and not the same as the corrupt and the negaverse ones, always seemed to have this effect on her. She became hyper focused, to the point where Sinistra was not sure she saw or heard anything but the source. Something resonated in the alien, and she seemed to simply hate Chaos in a pure and utter way.

For Wezen, Chaos had been all she knew, before she saw its face and recognized it for what it was. Here, she could do something about it. She did not care what form it took.

"It houses you. It deserves the kick. Come down," she demanded, her voice deceptively soft.

"I'm sure Wezen is simply requesting you stop your energy gathering for tonight, sir!" Sinistra tried. Maybe this one was open to conversation? She could always hope so, even with her little alien friend trying to start a fight without hesitation despite the difference in their strength. "Do you think you might be amenable to that?"

"I'll kick you if you come down," Wezen said, as if that would help their case.

"It doesn't know it houses me, it doesn't think or have choice." he stated, for some stupid reason defending a tree. Why the hell was he defending a tree...and why was she kicking a tree for housing him? As if it had some sort of choice or say in the matter. He felt like he was trying to talk to a child...and he felt like smacking his head on the trunk for a moment. Why was she blaming the tree for him being in it?

"I can do that, I've gathered enough anyway." And ok so she was goign to kick him...he really wasn't worried about that. He needed to get down so he could find a mirror and head home, or somewhere else, if he was going to be leaving this area. He didn't have teleporting skills like Aloysius or his sister.

Climbing down he pulled out a mirror shard and let his wraiths return to the little shard, which he tucked up his sleeve then.

"All better little senshi?" He asked tryhing to soften his voice as if talking to a child, because it was what he'd do when talking to a younger child at the orphanage.

Sailor Scout Attack: Hologram Ghost

Wezen holds up her hands and summons the spectral image of a small ghost. It is unique to each enemy, often inspired by their fears or memories. It screams and lunges at the target, directly at their face. When it connects it passes through its target and dissolves, leaving behind a white hot pain where it made contact for a few seconds. The feeling lingers as the pain fades, a sensation of not being alone in ones own body, of being haunted, and a crawling of the skin taking up the rest of the spells duration.

30 Seconds
Three Uses
Ten feet

"Wezzy, please, this is going a bit too far, let's just see if we can talk to him-" Sinistra was trying to whisper to Wezen so the DMS did not hear, thinking they still had a shot at brokering some sort of cease fire between them despite Wezen casting the first kick. She had always heard the Dark Mirror were not necessarily as dangerous nor quick to anger like the Negaverse, though she knew to stay on her toes.

It was difficult to balance the threat of Chaos, though, with the threat of Wezen running wild at the same time.

"Choice?" Wezen said, though it sounded like there was supposed to be a lot more anger in her tone. She was still learning the basics of language, let alone how to put emotions into her tone. Everything she said fell a bit flat, despite the fire burning in her eyes and the tightness in her shoulders. "We are all wheels and cogs. There is no choice, not on my planet. You abuse the luxury as though it is a toy. It means nothing, to choose. You choose to hurt, when you do not have to. You choose to stop, because you will do it again later."

"Ah, sir, thank you so much. We'll be going-" Sinistra cut in, looking incredibly thankful for the DMS despite her struggle she was having with her alien friend. If they could end things peacefully, then it was not technically a loss. Yes, energy was drained, but they would recover. No one was hurt, and the draining was stopped for the night. It was not ideal, but it was also a lot more than she had been expecting. "It really is kind of you to stop, and we definitely appreciate-"

That was when she noticed Wezen launching her attack.

Wezen had allowed herself to be pulled back by Sinistra only to get enough distance to lift her hand.

"Hologram Ghost."

"Yhes, the tree it has no choice - it's not sentient. So you don't need to kick and abuse it." It was a living thing but not sentient, how did this senshi not get this? Though he did notice there was something off, maybe, in how she spoke. It was like she wasn't sure on the emotions and how she felt...maybe, he honestly wasn't altogether sure on this. Something was off though and he knew that.

"Yeah, yeah it's not a big issue. We don't have some quota or anything." Waving a hand about. He didn't have to go out every night or gather some certain amount of energy. It was what he could get and when he could...it went to keep mirror space stable, or so he figured it. Mirrorspace still wasn't altogether stable and did try and hurt it's own senshi...for some reason or other.

He might have been going to move off, to find a mirror to slip into, but that got stopped when the taller senshi decided to use their magic on him. The image of a blond haired man, with green eyes, mouth moving but no words coming from them appeared and while he wasn't scared there was some amount of stress at the sight. His step brother had been a stressful thing for him on and off for months now so this was not a pleasent thing for him, and he did try and back away from it. Backing up he misstepped and landed on his a** just as the image pressed into him before vanishing and leaving a red hot pain tearing through him like fire. Cursing he held his chest with one hand, grasping at the layers of fabric he wore.

Biting out the words of his own magic. "True Loves Kiss." Cause he hurt so bad he choked on the words, even as he glanced around and rubbed at his chest. "s**t." That magic hurt, still, though he knew it would lessen in time. He could only hope his own magic lasted at least as long as hers so he could get past this feeling without being open to another attack.

Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: True Loves Kiss
Again Melpomene will press his fingers to his lips and blow a kiss towards his target (faction doesn't matter) and again, like the last time, a swirl of bleeding heart flowers will be directed towards his target. Upon impact the person will feel an uncontrollable love towards those around them and will not only seek to help them but will even try and protect them - going so far as to put themself in harm's way if the feelings are that strong. This attack can be used twice in battle and lasts forty seconds.

*Once he locks onto a person, and blows the kiss, it will hit them even if they move - unless they move out of his five foot range.

Sinistra felt very much like the tree: she was caught in the middle of what was definitely going to turn into a fight, and she had no real desire to be there. Her alien roommate had started this fight, but with someone much stronger than she was. And probably way more experienced, too: even her powers were new to her, in their application, though she was quick to use them. Wezen had no filter, and that absolutely applied to the liberal use of her powers as the Senshi of Haunting.

It was a sphere that Sinistra, with the much more innocent sphere of Brooms, was a bit afraid of. She definitely did not want to see what it was capable of, and definitely not when their 'opponent' had just said he would stop energy gathering for the night!

"I'm so sorry, she's... not from around here," Sinistra heard herself saying, pulling Wezen's arm, but it was no use. Though Sinistra treated her like she was small, she was actually far taller than the senshi herself. Though Sinistra was a rank above her, her strength did little to move the literal wall that Wezen could become when she was being stubborn.

Wezen snarled as she watched her opponent. Suffering and pain were emotions she understood. Even if she did not react like the humans here, she knew what they felt. She knew anger, too, though she had never named it before. Helplessness. Longing. All these things she had felt, without the names attached. She did not, however, understand the emotions that suddenly forced themselves onto her by his counter attack. She stopped dead in her tracks, as if the sudden conflict in having to feel such new and powerful emotions had completely shut down her mind.

"Wha..." she managed, though she was looking at Sinistra in utter confusion, not knowing what this strong desire in her was all of a sudden. She moved closer to her Senshi companion, clinging tightly to her and almost lifting her completely off her feet.

"Wezzy! Ack!! Guys, stop! This is getting out of hand, we don't have to fight each other!" Or hug each other this tightly, she bemoaned silently. She could not launch her own attack to separate them, though a good gust of wind that sent them all far away from each other seemed like the ideal solution right now. "I'm so sorry, Mr. Dark Mirror! Please understand, she doesn't know what she's doing!"

From hios place on the groun Melpomene was glad to see his magic did something, though he was surprised to see his target going for the other senshi, this was the second time it had directed the target to someone else though he wasn't about to complain either. This was still just as useful, if not more so, as he was able to feel the fading pain and magic, though as the pain lessened to a tolerable level he felt something else something off.

It was like something was watching him and gooseflesh rose along his bare arms. The hell was this magic? A shiver left him as he lcimbed up onto his feet. "It'll just have her clinging to someone and willing to do nearly anything for yuou - to keep you safe." He answered for the super senshi, to explain his own magic. The poor super senshi didn't seem to know what was going on and he felt a bit bad for her, seeing as she'd been lifted off the ground and pulled into a hug, it seemed a bit uncomfortable when he looked at it.

"Call me Melpomene, Mr. Dark Mirror sounds akward." And he was running out of time before his magic wore of, not good, he wasn't looking forward to the other senshi using her magic again on him...or picking him up and perhaps throwing him somewhere. She might be able to do that...right? She seemed rather strong. Yeah, he didn't like that idea one bit. He was already feeling off and uncomfortable right now i na way he was unfamiliar with.

Sinistra looked at the DMS helplessly, not sure how they had all managed to get here. She was not the tallest person around, while Wezen managed to tower over almost everyone they met. To be trapped in her arms now, being held prisoner by a stone still Senshi that did not know how to deal with herself in that moment, was very inconvenient.

Really, Sinistra was vulnerable like this, unable to defend herself or Wezen in that moment. thankfully, it did not seem like the Dark Mirror Senshi, whose name she had only just learned was Melpomene, was interested in taking advantage of it.

She was thinking her lucky stars, or whatever else she could silently thank, for that. If this had been a fight with the Negaverse, it likely would be taking an ugly turn right about now.

"I am so sorry," Sinistra said, without a hint of insincerity, "Melpomene. I promise, if there is a way I can make this all up to you, I will. I really did not want to hurt you, and I know her magic causes pain. I'm sorry, I truly, truly am. You should go, while she's uhm. Like this." Broken, as far as Sinistra could tell. Wezen was just holding her, tightly, and did not seem inclined to let go any time soon. She knew the magic would wear off soon, but would that stop the new feelings and confusion that had Wezen so thoroughly stumped? Sinistra was not so sure, but she would be there for her roommate no matter what.

She just wanted to get them both home, where they could be safe. And everyone else could be safe from Wezen.

"It's fine." Even as he heard a faint shouting, familiar to him, as he was certain he felt and maybe even saw that spectral image of his step brother one more time. That was creepy, maybe even a bit chilling to be honest, he didn't like that senshi's magic. But he was certain, from the looks of things, that she didn't like his magic either...or well she wouldn't when she came up from it.

"Don't apologize. Just handle her." Nodding his head as he turned to make his own escape while he weas still safe to do so, he did not want to get caught by that senshi again. As soon as he was far enough awway he might just power down and walk home...so she didn't try and hunt down his aura and fight him again.

"Her maghic isn't as bad as it could be, turst me, I've heard of worse." Though he'd thankfully not encountered worse, he didn't want to, he was certian if he went home honestly injured by someone Aloysius would have something to say about it and even more to do about it. Shivering at that thoguht he did infact hurry himself away from things, let the smaller senshi handle the other one, he was going home.

Sleet Tempest Snape
FIN!

Handle her?

Sinistra was starting to wonder if she could. The more Wezen learned about Earth and its culture, about life and how it worked, the more reckless and dangerous she got. She challenged everything she did not understand, or what she thought she did not like. She hated Chaos with such deep vehemence, how could Sinistra ever hope to control it?

But she had to learn. She had always been booksmart, even Camelot thought she was tactical and clever: there had to be something she could figure out to help Wezen keep herself out of trouble. It would just take some more trial and error... though hopefully not too many more lessons learned the hard way.

Wezen let out a pitiful whine, nuzzling against Sinistra, who she still had not put back down yet. Sinistra was sure the magic had worn off, as the DMS hurried on his way. She could not blame him, though he was very cool about the whole thing. Still, she knew she had to find him again later and offer him some kind of an apology. He had done nothing to warrant Wezen attacking him like that, and he had been amiable in stopping his energy hunt for them. Sinistra felt terrible, then, for things turning so sour.

For now, though, she had to focus on her roommate, and getting the two of them home. Wezen carried her, but did start walking with a few gentle words from her captive Super Senshi. They would just have to figure everything out once they were safe in their living room.

Which Sinistra would apparently have to be carried to, as Wezen showed no sign of wanting to put her down.
