Ultear 1 It was a beautiful stormy day, the sea a dark teal with beautiful highlights. It was a perfect day for walking the beach. Though on the horizon there was a youngling on a wooden paddle board. He froze for a moment when he saw a broad scaley back rising out of the water behind the child. The snaptrotter began steaming toward the youngling.

Vaiarava 1 She was unaware of the reptilian predator lurking behind her. She was too concerned with the storm that had to her seemed to pop out of nowhere and it and the current had pushed her much further down the beach than she had thought. She was focusing on paddling to shore when she saw a crazed earthling racing toward her.

Ultear 2 He raced to her location and swiftly put himself between her and the giant beast intent on a snack. The jaws opened and s**t with a snap, a single tooth grazed his upper arm and he felt a gash. He was grateful that was the only damage though. He was way more concerned with the small kahi’s health and keeping the beast off her so she could escape.

Vaiarava 2 She squealed and did her best to get to shore where it would be easier to manauver. She marveled at the bravery of the earthling. He had gone between her and death. She dare not look back any longer, she had to focus on her goal. Get up on the beach. Touch sand and go! Adrenaline surged through her.

Ultear 3 He turned when he could and schooched her board the short way to the beach when he scrambled up with her, "Come on, I don't know if it will come up the beach or not. Run! He would stay behind her closer to her than the angry beasty. He panted, trying to get enough air.

Vaiarava 3 This was why she only rarely came outside! Everything didn't want to eat her there. Still it was exhilarating in a crazy way. Her heart raced right along with her feet as they scrambled into the tree line still moving fast until it was likely the beast have up. She bent over breathing hard.

Ultear 4 He stumbled up behind her. "I don't think its following, he leaned his butt against a tree and focused on calming down. He still disliked the almost being eaten again feeling. He wondered how the other tamers dealt with it. He had dabbled in beast charming as a hobby. He wasn't as good as his Dad but that came down to experience.

Vaiarava 4 "Good, thank you so much for saving me. I didn't even know he was there" It must have been slowly cruising over to her for her not to notice for that long. What a creepy thought.
"Well that is more than enough, excitement."
Just as she said it, the sky decided to open up.

Ultear 5 "Happy to help, not the nicest way to go. Beisdes we are too pretty to die yet." He winked at her trying to make her laugh with antics. "We also need to find shelter. It was raining so hard that it was hard to see. It would be too dangerous on the shore at the moment. "Come young one, we have to head inland or that brute might return.'

Vaiarava 5 Well she supposed he was friendly and she thought she recognized him from the family gatherings. Vaia nodded for him to take the lead. He was a lot better than an angry old snaptrotter and a frothy sea. Besides he looked woodsy and capable like her grandfathers. And that made her want to trust him too.

Ultear 6 He thought she belonged to the Ikaika, Kaiko clan in some way. She looked familiar but not and he swore he had seen her fleetingly a few times. But those gatherings were quite big now and there were always so many people to see in a short period of time. Also she looked like she could be shy too.
"There has to be some sort of shelter." The rain thundered down.

Vaiarava 6 She bent into the wind to help him look for a place. They eventually found a wooden overturned boat that was large enough for both of them to squish into. "Its at least a cover," she shuddered. It would be better if they could start a fire though. It wasn't very warm to shiver wetly.

Ultear 7 "Its okay, I'm going to go out quick and make sure we don't have a better option. H hated to leave her along but a fire safe shelter would indeed be better for them. "I'll be right back, don't worry, just curl up and try to keep warm. He wish he had a cloak to warm her but he had been going swimming and hadn't been wearing much to begin with.

Vaiarava 7 She nodded trying very hard to be very brave. Would he make it back to fetch her? What if the beast found him? What if the beast found her? She hated the bush. It lured you in with butterflies and pretty shells and leaves with hissy fits and storms right after.

Ultear 8 He looked around as fast as he could, he had found a shelter seemingly built for such an emergency. They were probably on Ninyelt land then. More the better, he thought. He returned to the girl and bid her follow him to she could take them to the cabin. It would warm up fast with the fire.
