Mizuki did was she could to avoid most Chaos signatures at the present moment. No one had tried to forcefully summon her to them in the hours after the disastorous purification attempt. No one had tried to even find her in the hours and through the next day. She'd run into that Lysithea squire, Stirling, had a good cry and some food, and moved on.
She had veritable jug of energy collected, and some dozen starseeds. At some point she'd have to go turn it in, but until someone bodily forced her back into Negaspace? Mizuki was content to keep wandering the city, trying to find a better way to make her emotions stop.
Happening upon him was chance and circumstance.
A little too much focus on finding people to drain from, and a little too crazed from at least two eaten starseeds, she hadn't felt his signature until he came into view. Deep purple hair, teal sash, yellow overvest. Cracks in his forehead and chest. Rose colored eyes locked on him as white hot rage erupted in her chest. He'd done this. He'd lead to this. He'd jeopordized the mission, he'd let him die.
Helio shot first.
Mizuki teleported into his space, feeling the drain on her limbs, and launched herself at him in a tackle. She screamed into his face, no words just rage and emotion and hatred. She wanted to kill him, she wanted to make him suffer, she wanted to make him bleed for his stupidity.
He would pay, he had to pay, and then she would feel better. Then the emotions would stop. Then everything would be okay again.

Helio had felt the signature grow close but hadn't paid it much mind. It had that dark, heavy tone of chaos to it. He had expected them to pass by or at most stop and exchange a quick few word. He himself was out trying to work on his quota, after all. Despite the past 48 hours he couldn't ignore his duties no matter how he felt. But what he hadn't expected was a full attack.
He barely registered the girl draped in hues of purple as she teleported in front of him, taking him by surprise, and full body tackling him to the ground. The impact of the added weight of her momentum winded him, leaving him failing both for air and for understand what the ******** had just happened.
"Mizuki?!" Even with her screaming at him with a rage he could never match her on, Helio laid there with Mizuki on top of him, letting her release all of that pent-up anger. Who was he to stop her? There was no doubt in his mind what this was happening, and he damn well deserved all her ire for what he had done. Who was he to deny her? Punishment was only fair for nearly destroying the person he and Mizuki loved.
He looked up at her as she raged. Giving her the audience she deserved as she sought to find release for her anger. All he could do or say was "I am sorry, Mizuki. Hey, I am sorry." He repeated himself in hopes to calm her enough so she could speak more sense. While he was willing to wait out her need to vocally release herself, he was also aware that they could draw quite amount of attention if anyone heard her. Thankfully he didn't feel any other auras around and civilians wouldnt be an issue.
"Can we talk civilly?" He asked while he lay prone on the ground

Civilly might have been the wrong word to use.
Nope, it had definitely been the wrong word to use, but he needed her calm down. To be somewhat reasonable. He damn well needed her to NOT draw any damn attention. But, all of that was incredibly had to do when his assailant had her hands around his throat constricting his airflow. His hands wound around her wrists as his own self-survival kicked in. The ******** had the girl been doing though? She was strong. He managed just enough air to be able to talk, ragged though it was.
"I ******** up." He said plainly. "I have no...excuse. I thought...I thought...it was done." He could still vividly remember that flare of light. He hadn't been powered up, as he hung in those woods. He could only go off of what he saw. He thought Faustite had been purified and had jumped the gun. All he could think about was not letting the white moon take him away. Instead, he'd almost caused Faustite to leave them all.
He could feel her sharp nails digging into tender skin. Matching wounds to the ones he'd created on his own forehead.Perhaps even deeper considering how many women tended to keep well manicured.
"Mizuki..." He rasped. "How many...starseeds?" Her feral screaming and increased strength nodded towards starseed consumption, but how many? Did she inhale enough that he should be worried about her safety? Certainly he was worried for his own right now, because, as much as he struggled to breathe he wasn't about to hit Mizuki. He'd done enough ******** damage for the day.
Perhaps what she needed most right now was a convenient punching bag.

She stared at him, tears dripping from her face to splash on his face, on his hair, on his fuku. She stared at him as he told her he'd thought it was done. That Faustite had purified and they were to go make sure the White Moon didn't claim him has their own permanently.
It wasn't malicious, it wasn't intentional. He'd just... jumped the gun. He'd panicked.
Like she had.
Like she was.
Mizuki hurt. Her heart hurt, her head pounded, her hands cramped from where they were locked around Helio's neck. His next question, rasped and wasting what precious little air he was getting under her hold, short circuited her rage, her grief, her emotions.
How many... starseeds?
When had she... oh.
Oh, was that what that was? That surge of power in her veins, the way it felt like she could simply rip his head off without a thought?
"I.... don't... know," she said, hoarse voice barely a whisper as she stared down at Helio. Her hands slipped from his throat.
Then Mizuki crumbled, burying her face into Helio's chest and sobbed.
