Jadarite had yet to meet this Captain Liefite personally, but she was one of the ones who Lepidolite had found to help her with the bank infiltration. Anyone willing to help was a welcome sight, and had a head start in the volatile process of gaining Jada's favor.
They were going to be doing some fieldwork today, but Jada had requested to meet for a quick briefing in her office before they headed out. It would be terribly counterproductive to the entire mission if they were to have a discussion on a street corner about their plans to take over a local business.
That was why it was called the Infiltration Branch. It was meant to be subtle.
Jada wasn't sitting at her desk with sharp eyes, a commanding presence, a mission report, and a cup of Starbucks, the way she so often did when she had plans with one of her subordinates. That would be too much for a meeting with another Captain.
She still had her tablet, but she was standing by her door, propped up against the frame, while she waited for the other to stop by.

Leifite vaguely remembered Jada from the mission into the academy, as part of the, what was it, Uranus area? She was incredibly well put together, and ran a tight ship. In fact, Leifite regarded her as her senior in this; Jadarite had been around longer and didn't seem to fall into the same trap as Ashanite or any of his captains: nonsense. Leif could only aspire to such calm and control.
Her heels clicked down the hallway as she made her way to Jadarite's office. When Lepidolite had contacted her about assisting with an infiltration mission, Leifite had accepted almost before the General Sovereign had stopped talking. To be honest, Leif was all but useless in combat unless she was in a group. Her weapon had not gotten much better with her promotion, and if she was very honest with herself, she preferred to work in the shadows.
Gossip had always been her currency in school and in life, and this was a perfect opportunity to finally stretch those muscles.
Leifite rounded the corner to see Jadarite waiting for her, more casual than she'd seen when they were last together. Somehow, the other Captain still exuded authority even while leaning against her door frame, which, in Leif's mind, was actually rather nice to see. At least she wasn't wrapped around some Polaris knight, like someone else she knew.
"Captain Jadarite, I hope I haven't kept you waiting long," she said, her tone light. She tucked her hands behind her back out of habit, and respect.
