Encke fidgeted. Due to a combination of factors, Encke agreed that assembling as least some backup was their best option. It felt both strange to assemble backup for a purification and, perhaps, also justified. There were too many surrounding factors that were making too many people uncertain. If this all went okay, well. It wouldn't matter. And if it didn't, they were prepared for those consequences, or at least more than they would have been. It would have to be enough. Skoll was juggling between being Skoll and not letting her coworkers know, and being Anna given that she was covering the front desk for the vet clinic. The front desk girl had to run to an emergency, and they were thankfully slow enough at the moment that Anna could be spared. Which meant that every like fifteen minutes Skoll was darting into the bathroom to power up, read her messages, then power back down. She blamed it too much caffeine if anyone asked.
It was incredibly frustrating that the phone just disappeared when powered down. It was probably some sort of failsafe, but still, very annoying.

It was a valid question, given that he'd come to Albite's backup. Fire in his stomach aside, he didn't look like he was going, well, anywhere. As far as she was aware, purifications needed like... some sort of consent? Or at least the willingness to go through with it. She couldn't imagine what could drive a Negaverse General to want to purify, especially one that seemed so at home. Not that she was complaining; any general that defected to their side was a boon to them after all.
It just definitely raised her suspicions though.

Nectaris had brought some of her beadwork out to a nearby park since the weather was nice, and also because she knew that Encke was going to be starting a chat about the whole Faustite situation. It was easy to send messages in between rounds of stringing beads onto wire. Quote: He says he wants out because the youma is consuming him but idk. Like you said he seemed pretty committed? And Iike yeah. There's more weird stuff. It could totally be a trap. So I have from a pretty reliable source that he's got at least three husbands and also a team. I don't know if any of them will show up or how many but. Dude's got connections.

Anakeion had been planning to play video games all day, but given she needed to be available for Groupchat™, she'd instead opted to get out of the house for the primary reason of 'if my aura gets connected to my house, Houston, we have a problem'. Did she care about Zinnia seeing her powered up? No; Zinnia was a senshi, she already knew. Did she care about her parents seeing her powered up? No; if they were Negaverse, she had bigger problems, but she was pretty sure her easygoing fiftysomething parents were not secretly agents of capital-C Chaos. But she didn't have any given portable aura suppression, so, off to the park she went.
This did not mean she wasn't playing video games. She'd brought her Switch with her anyways. But it wasn't the same.

To be honest, everyone else in the chat had a good point. It could totally be a trap. Skoll wasn't wrong, Faustite was committed. And he was committed to a lot of people on top of that. At least three husbands. A whole team. The Negaverse itself. He could tell by how uncertain even Basiluzzo seemed that this situation was hard to negotiate, and Anakeion's bluntness was absolutely a reminder of what this could really be. Ida's suggestion was a good one, and it was one he agreed with. Encke wished he could take it. Transcendent Encke i agree, Ida? I'd feel more secure in space. He couldn't just ... pull people with him, there think there's a few problems, though. He said he can't tell me the location until the day of, apparently because the court leader wanted to pick the location? Which means an essential piece might be hostile to us moving elsewhere. i've also had trouble hearing back from the court involved in general. We'd need them on board too for a youma purification. A quick message followed up, Maybe they could get everyone on board once they got there, but if Faustite and even the Court had a specific plan they weren't saying, they had to plan for that potential problem specifically. Why did it need to be in one particular place? Why couldn't they know until the day of? Whether intentionally or not, it offset him. There were too many unknowns. Transcendent Encke so I guess the overall opinion is to assume the worst and hope for the best. How do we want to approach this? probably best to make sure we're all there beforehand somehow. Unlike them we can't just teleport 🥲 i can say for sure there's a court involved, outside of us. I'm not sure how big the court is, though I know there's at least four of them and the names of a couple of them. Don't know if they're bringing anyone else It was Viatrix that replied next, tapping out on her phone as she wished she had something to facilitate this just a bit easier. ... Hm. Mauvian Viatrix I can suppress some auras, if anyone wants to just show up to the location nearby out of sight and powered. Nectaris Space is probably our best bet, yeah. Idk enough about who's in the court to ask them if we can just do the purification there but if we can't do it before we could try to go after? Like that's probably our best option if we do get jumped, otherwise it's just gonna turn into a Whole Thing and that's when bad stuff happens. We have as much backup as we can around, and then we get to space as quick as we can? Idk who wants to host the space party, we might need more than one. I can try to at least get Faustite away and whoever right there? --- Cybele was trying to be supportive to Viatrix, but being in the same chat as Nectaris of all people still made her stomach turn a bit. Her message was simple.

Given the choice, Basiluzzo would prefer to be in space. It was easier to control who came and went that way, and it kept any fears about this being an ambush from turning into reality. But Basiluzzo was optimistic, not an idiot. He knew there were complications, as much as he didn't like them. As much as he desperately wanted to be wrong. Would it really work this time? She'd thought something was missing last time... was a court that thing? Would that be the difference now? The years had dulled the pain, allowing her to look back with clearer eyes. She could almost resent that Faustite would have a chance where Bischofite had not. That he would survive, where Bischofite had not. But... the past was the past, and couldn't be changed. That love had been young and idealistic and full of lies.
