Syaa emerged from the main 'castle' their hall was so big it might as well be a castle, having expanded to accommodate the whole family in times of crisis. He scanned the yard and saw where all of the siblings had branched off into their respective tasks. He had his own room but was spending most of his time with Nykinae, having known her the longest and there was something about her that deserved more research. Some part of her that she kept hidden but showed flashes of. Something he wished to suss out at least for the moment. Their first meeting had been rocky but it felt like they were slowly starting to relax around each other and dare he say beginning to enjoy each other's company.

Helpfully he snagged a janarim for her to wash, the fellow was mellow enough, sensing Syaa's true intent which he kept out on his sleeve for inspection. He led the critter to her and pulled him into place for his bath.

He worked on washing the other side with another bucket and scrubbie that he had scrounged up somewhere.

It was quiet and he sighed in quiet contentment. Animals and nature always made him more relaxed. It was nice to spend some time with her. Quiet time.

He was oddly content with his weird ish situation. But he was unwilling to look to closely at what was holding this together, least it jar the balance.

It was sunny out, warm and he dunked his own head in a clean bucket of water too cool off. Water dripped off of his brow and he resisted the urge to shake like a large radaku.

"Its just that I am on the sunny side of the critter, you get the shade." It wasn't too hot but it was never wise to not practise precaution in climates where the sun could slap you around just as easy as the janarim they were scrubbing could. "I probably need to drink more water too." Sometimes he forgot to, he would water his plants before he rememebered to drink and it was detrimental considering they could usually deal a little better with drought as they did not sweat like he did.

He noticed the squint to her eyes and hid his own smile. She seemed free-er with her joy now a days, he wondered what had changed. Though he was sure that getting her niece back from Yael had helped. He was glad Elaxi was back too for that matter. The family was whole again and the vibes underpinning it had changed with that update.

"I'll be fine," he looked at her stoicly. She was so beautiful when she truly smiled. Granted she was always beautiful but it was like the sun coming out on a rainy day. "Besides, I'm enjoying myself." He was too. Being with her was always good, it was the thing he looked forward to every day. It was why he stayed on the ranch. There was something about her that he couldn't explain with words.

He smiled back at her and came around the janarim to hug her with his sopping wet self. Hoping for a run and a giggle. It was good for the janarim to get socialized like this anyway.

For once he ignored the warning, for once he took it upon himself to be the pursuer. It was time she had an idea of his slowly simmering to a boil feelings for her. For some reason it felt like the perfect day to pursue this.

He scooped her into his arm and held her tight to his wet skin and the firm muscles beneath. He buried his face gently into her neck. She was so light, just as light as the day he had pulled her from the water after bandits had chased her over a cliff. He had been worried about the feisty small woman. But she had an indomitable spirit an indomitable will and the finest butt he had ever seen.

"Kina..."

He smiled at her discomfiture. She was so warm, pressed against his water cooled self.

Then she bit him, not a hard bite but it seemed to awaken something in him that up until this day had been rather dormant, an inner spirit that he had perhaps forgotten he had as consumed as he was with his job and being mostly agreeable most of the time.

This was something else, he felt like every nerve ending was on fire. It was a love bite. And there it was a name for the feeling that had been growing in him slowly over time in regards to her; love. He swallowed hard and nuzzled her neck, his breathing had increased in rate and well he was overly distracted from the task at hand and couldn't quite suppress the delighted moan.

“Rest assured Nykinae, I am more than fine, perhaps too fine.” He had partly come back to himself and slowly he let her slid down his body to the ground. “I uh did not expect the flood of emotions that happened when you bit me, but I won’t say that I am sorry because I am not. Perhaps I should have told you a long time ago, but I have feelings for you, serious feelings. I enjoy your company above all others and when you smile my heart squeezes, I understand if you do not feel these things back though. My feeling have grown for you over time and now there is no going back for me.” He looked up at the sky as if praying for a moment and then returned his dark gaze on her. He let her see what dwelled there.
