Today Kianna was exhausted. She had not only attended basketball practice, since they had a game coming up soon. She also had to go to track and field to orient the newcomers. Sometimes being the most successful is not always the best. As a result, as she walked home, she could not feel her legs, nor enjoy the beautiful setting sun.
Suddenly she noticed a bench out of the corner of her eye, and decided to rest for a second. While she was sitting there, she realized how much she loved sports and how much joy they gave her. Even if the journey was hard and tiring, it was worth it. But she would be lying if she didn't say sometimes she wished she could take a break from it all and do something else. Even if it was just for a night.

Darius Ammun, a tiny silver kitten with black stripes and a golden star on his forehead and little Etaminian Bands (similar to Egyptian Armbands) around his ankles and wrists, was trotting back to his bonded Senshi's apartment. He had spent a long day training with and checking in on his Senshi's younger sister who was a Chibi Senshi and still lived at home- she was preparing for her upcoming Growth Ritual as well as her impending growth to Chibi Eternal Stage and was putting in a lot of training toward both. When Dari's Bonded and his twin, also a Senshi, could be there to help, they often asked Dari to support her in their stead.
He came to a stop near a bench. A human teenage was tired and was seated there. Now to most human beings, Dari was a real grouch, rude and crude, but somehow, he felt a kind of kinship with this one... without even knowing her. There were a few like that. So softly, he hopped up to her side and nuzzled her leg. Remembering that he wasn't allowed to speak to her, especially in this form, he mewed gently to her. "Meow."

Kianna was awoken from her rest by what looked like a super cute little kitten! She couldn't help but be drawn to the silver kitten's charm. She gently petted their head and said, "Well hello there! Aren't you a pretty kitten," she said kindly as she noticed the golden star on it's forehead. Thats unique she thought to herself but quickly disregarded it.
Now for some reason she felt at peace with this kitten. Almost like the kitten itself was helping her to recover her energy. Now for some reason she felt like she needed to tell the kitten her name. Now she knew how silly it was to talk to animals but she just felt like if she didn't she was being rude.
"Oh and I'm Kianna, it's nice to meet you!"

Dari could have smiled. Kianna seemed like an old friend. He was enjoying the love, when suddenly a youma jumped out of the bushes - a sort of Chinese fable-y dog like thing covered in sage stuff. It was massive, about six feet tall and three wide.
Darius leaped off the bench and hissed at the creature, his fur standing on end. The creature snarled at him. Darius quickly calculated his chances of fighting this thing alone, whether in Cat or Human Form, even with his Mauvian Claws and decided he did not have the strength to do so. He knew he would have to call either Chibi Super Sailor Leaena who was closer, but of a lot less strength, or his bonded, Eternal Sailor Etamin and his twin Eternal Sailor Pasithee who could easily dust this thing in minutes but were further away. Instead, he was putting out a distress beacon when the thing lunged at him to eat him- he leapt of the way and slashed it. It roared and started to go after Kianna. "Noo!" Darius cried desperately, flying after it, forgetting the rules.

Kianna thought for a moment she might have been daydreaming. But it didn't take her long to realize this crazy Chinese fable dog thing was real. Not only that, but the cat also talked. Like the cat said words - human words.
"What is going on?" she asked before continuing, "am I losing it?" but before she could get an answer she felt her skin begin to tingle. It felt like something was trying to escape from somewhere inside her.
She felt like she needed to fight it and honestly, she wanted to. "Hey Kitty what did you do to me?" She said as she kicked that crazy-looking beast as hard as she could. Luckily for her, her kickboxing on the side had finally paid off. She noticed she had dazed the monster at least for a moment.
And a moment was all she needed to get answers.

Darius watched in amazement as Kianna kickboxed the youma with an actual reaction from the beast. Then Kianna had responded to him with a question, but he wasn't listening, for at this moment he was feeling something he had never felt before - both within him and within her. A tingling, sparkly feeling.
And he knew. She was a Senshi. She was an UnAwakened Senshi - and it was his purpose to Awaken her - his First. From his perch on a nearby post, he closed his eyes and concentrated. From within him appeared an Emerald and Gold henshin pen (very Egyptian-looking, he noted) before him. Opening his eyes, he picked it up in his mouth, and then did some cat acrobatics, flipping over the youma, landing at Kianna's feet, where he placed it before her.
"You can use this to help you fight. However, once you accept it, you must understand, the burden of responsibility you accept, you can NEVER release. Think carefully before you accept." He looked up into her eyes staunchly.

Kianna was amazed at how the cat jumped and did all those tricks. Not that she should expect anything less at this point. I mean a weird creature, a talking cat, the possibilities were endless.
But she didn't have time to think about that now. She had other things to worry about since that monster wouldn't be dazed for long.
That was when she saw the cat lay down this pen-like thing. She decided not to ask questions and just grabbed the weird-looking gold and emerald pen at her feet. The second she grabbed the pen, she felt her whole body change. That feeling she felt inside was being released as a light immersed her whole body.
She felt her clothing change and before she knew it she had been transformed. She was wearing an Egyptian-like outfit. Her clothes were white with a green crocodile pattern and gold jewelry.
"Wow," she said as she landed on her feet, "I look amazing." The shock was still setting in as she turned to the cat. "What do I do now?" she questioned as she noticed the weird monster was about to come to.

Darius, unsure of him just burst our what came into his mind. "You are a Senshi, a Guardian of Order. Your duty is to protect the Earth. You are a Sailor Scout - the Basic Level. You know your name and your most basic attack deep inside. You just need to find it. And I will help you fight."
With that he transformed into what seemed to be an eight-year-old human boy, wearing what seemed to be Ancient Egyptian (they were Etaminian) clothes with no shoes - and still had his Silver Cat Ears and and Silver Cat Tail??!!?
"My name is Darius Ammun, and you can call me Darius. I am a Mauvian. For now that is all you need to know." He smiled, then turned and ran to battle.
Enhancement:
Mauvian Claws: Grinding Sand
While Mauvian claws alone are generally stronger than cat claws, this enhancement gives them a little extra to fight with. All Mauvians who have unlocked this will get a small magical effect that activates when their claws come in contact with a target; the effects can last for ten seconds if the Mauvian is in their natural form or fifteen seconds if the Mauvian is in their humanoid or Senshi form. They cannot use this enhancement if they are in a civilian glamour. This ability activates after every scratch and has no max number of uses per battle. The target feels as if the injury is ground with sand granules.

Kianna listened and then just stared at the cat turning into a boy. "oh great the cats a little boy now," she thought in her head silently. Now things were really getting strange, but she didn't have time to think about that. She remembered his named Darius and his words. That was all she could think about right now and after this was all over she could just take a huge nap at home on her comfy bed.
So she closed her eyes took a deep breath and tried to discover her basic attack like he said. 'I am a Senshi ... a Senshi of... crocodiles!' her mind basically filled in the blanks and it made sense. After all she did have a crocodile design on this new wardrobe.
Then she closed her eyes again and tried hard to picture her attack. It was as if her body understood what she needed and her mouth moved on it's own. "Crocodilian Ninja - I command you to Attack!" She pointed her right hand in the direction of the beast and created from what seemed like thin air. Was a ethereal crocodile that stalks one target. The crocodile used it's stealth still to sneak up on the monster and once it got closer. It jumped from the ground and bite that monster like it was it's dinner.
The monster would feel the sensation of teeth/biting as the crocodile attacks. Since how could you not feel those jaws. (This attack lasts for 25 seconds and can be used 3 times.)
As she watched the attack happen she was amazed and just cheered for herself. "I did it! Hey Darius did you see that?!" she said as she looked to see if the attack had done much damage to the now bitten monster.

Darius nodded and grinned, as the force of both of their attacks caused the creature to explode into dust.
"Excellent," he exclaimed running up to her. He looked up into her eyes and then said, "Now, there is just one more thing you have to do before powering down. I want you to look deep inside yourself and find your Senshi name." He for once was ecstatic and didn't care about being rude or crude.

She was amazed at how she just help that little boy cat defeat a monster! 'How cool' she squealed in her head with excitement.
As she looked over at Darius she was happy to see a grin. She must have done something right from the looks of it. Then his words only confirmed it, today was turning out to be one interesting day. but so far she felt far more accomplished then she had even after the trainings she had done earlier.
She closely listened to his next words and nodded."look inside myself huh? Alright well here goes nothing," she said aloud once more and closed her eyes. She could feel the power whirling up inside her and then in her head it whispered. Sailor Ame..tk...han.
When she opened her eyes this time, they glowed with a power behind them that wasn't there before.
"My name is Sailor Ametkhan and I am the Senshi of Crocodiles," she said with a smirk before continuing, "and Just like the Phoenix I will always rise again!"

Darius grinned. "It is wonderful to meet you, Sailor Ametkhan of Crocodiles." He bowed properly in the Etaminian Way. "To properly introduce myself at last. I am Darius Ammun, Order Mauvian, Human Form, Bonded to Eternal Sailor Etamin of Hieroglyphics." And I wonder if we've met before.. "Don't worry about all that now," he quickly offered. "I'm not going to leave you out a limb."
He looked worriedly at the sun, worried about the sun, as it was now about to set, and they had spent so much time here already - Daddy would be worried about him and so would Aunt Dria. He quickly opened a pocket of subspace and pulled out a slip of paper, and quickly wrote an address, then handed it to her.
"Please come by this address tomorrow after school. If I'm not there, ask for Dari. Tell them I sent you. Drew and Dria will understand. I will get you your phone and other accessories that you will need, and we all can get you started on your duties in protecting the planet. And if you find yourself in trouble before then that the pen can't help, come by that apartment. Now I must be off, they'll be worried. Don't forget to power down - the dark ones can sense your power when you power up. Farewell and see you tomorrow."
With that, and a shy grin, he transformed back into a Cat, and was off. [FIN for me]

Ametkhan grabbed the slip of paper and nodded towards Darius. She waited until he had run off. Then she took one deep breath, closed her eyes, and allowed all the magic to drift out of her. As she did so she slowly transformed right back into her track clothes from earlier.
She opened her eyes looked down and grabbed the gym bag from the bench she had been sitting on earlier. "Well that was something," she said to herself as she headed off in the direction towards her home.
"I don't completely understand everything that just happened, but I want that power back," she said as she walked and she smiled at the thought. Since once she had accepted her name she just felt so much more alive. It was as if that power had been waiting for her to claim it for a long time.
"I'm going to make sure I rise to the top. Since I refuse to be anything but the best sailor I can be," she said that with a fire behind her voice. She now had a new mission and even if she wasn't exactly sure where to start. After she visited that kitten again she hoped she would have more answers.
But until then she needed to head home and get her strength back. After all being tired never did anyone any good. So with that she picked up her speed and raced as fast as she could to get home.
